Many are unshaven and unkempt. Thai people put a premium on appearance and cleanliness as is stated above. The only time I ever wear shorts in Bangkok is at the gym. I usually take two to three showers a day, change clothes at least twice, ensure that I am well groomed and that includes meticulous manscaping and trimming of armpit hair as well. Also be clean shaven guys. Asian women for the most part do not like beards and mustaches and stubble isn't going to get you anywhere. Save the ragged look for Pattaya.

And presumably, my Pattaya Hotel to the BKK airport 12 days later. I can see some car service websites through Google, but they seem expensive (3000 THB+) versus what I think a Grab or Taxi might cost at around 1500-2000 THB. Not really interested in super cheap methods like the bus lines. I don't mind paying for the private ride luxury, assuming the costs are not more than $50 (1800 THB) each way.

Any suggestions or referrals will be much appreciated.
