I'd just like to stress your point about "face" further. It is not very intuitive to understand, but once you do, it'll by far be the best tool in your kit. Helping a Thai girl save face, or giving her bragging rights has always led to amazing nights for me. It's very small simple things. A common example is from girly bars. If a girl is chatting up another customer for a drink and gives up after 10 minutes / after customer refuses, volunteering to buy her a drink. Or else picking the 3rd /4th best lookers to buy drinks / chat despite the best 2 being available etc.

And presumably, my Pattaya Hotel to the BKK airport 12 days later. I can see some car service websites through Google, but they seem expensive (3000 THB+) versus what I think a Grab or Taxi might cost at around 1500-2000 THB. Not really interested in super cheap methods like the bus lines. I don't mind paying for the private ride luxury, assuming the costs are not more than $50 (1800 THB) each way.
