Maybe it is a thing like you see people with covers on their luggage. They want a protector for the thing that is protecting their belongings. I see the issue of finding a life partner in Colombia as an individual thing. What applies to one gent will not necessarily apply to another. Nevertheless, my experience in Colombia is that there are many options among non pros but you need to be able to speak Spanish.

Having lived in Colombia for many many years, I can tell you very few men find their wives in Colombia not just because of the language barrier but because of the cultural barrier. I've seen tons of men with the same idea to find a wife in Colombia only to leave only to leave a year later in complete distress. I would say that Colombia especially Medellin is probably the worst place to find a wife. They might find a girl out and about and think that she's a good girl only to get robbed after the 4th date or to find out that she's sleeping with other gringos on the side or she has a Colombian boyfriend (which she prefers above all). Out of all the Latin American countries I've been to Colombians, especially Paisas are the biggest liars I've ever met. And it's due to the legacy of Pablo Escobar. Even decades after his death, he's left a deep cultural imprint of criminality. The locals call it "cultura traqueta." Women here, although many have been taken on to more lavish trips by the age of 22 than you will ever go to, have never lived in another country. They don't know that cheating on their boyfriend is as bad as it is because it's so normalized in their culture. I've slept with so many Colombian women that have boyfriends who they really loved and they didn't feel guilty.

Men who come to this country looking for wives are men who really don't understand the culture at all. Once these women have had a taste of the fast money of selling their bodies, a guy who wants her to stay home and cook will sound like a horrible proposition. Most Paisas don't want to leave the country, don't want to be your husband because marriage isn't even a strong institution in the culture and they don't want to be married to a foreigner unless they're 35+ and they've had a lot of financial hardship in their life. They just want your money and they want to party in Medellin. They will lie, cheat, and steal in order to do that.

I won't get into too many details and just get straight to the point. So what started as just me and my girlfriend has now expanded into my girlfriend and some of her friends and her sisters friends and now I'm up to about 9 people and we all need a place to meet for a group session. I'm having a very difficult time finding a place for this encounter to occur. My girlfriends apartment is too small for such a thing to occur so it would need to be elsewhere. God definitely made most Colombian women liers thieves and cheats. Here in Medellin two nights ago had my wallet stolen while foolishly allowing a street girl to fondle my dick from outside my jeans and placing my hand on her pussy. I didn't realize until we parted company about 15 minutes later.

Not much damage done, lost about $50 and fortunately I had removed my credit card hours earlier.

Most street girls are probably liers, thieves and cheats but most Colombian women are just liers like women everywhere. Some are thieves and cheats as well but definitely a minority.

So after reviewing way too many of the endless posts on here.

There seems to be 4 basic ways to enjoy all the lovelies in Medellin.

1) Street girls. Lots to be found, esp around Parque Lleras. Helps to speak spanish.

2) Casas: Lots to be found, varying grades of quality. Lots of reviews and hints available.

3) FB / Tinder / Insta: Seems to be the best and the worst. If you have the time, looks like you can establish a nice P2 P relation with a gal this way. Haven't had much luck myself setting it up the last few weeks before my trip. Do have a nice contact from one of our frequent ISG posters that I have be communicating with. Hope it goes well. Also seems to be the hotspot for Scop issues.

4) Prepagos: I'm quite intrigued by this. Prices seem reasonable, ladies look lovely and do answer to an agency. Seems like a good bet. But minimal reports on the ISG re: using these services. I use agencies frequently in my travels, so am a bit concerned that this isn't commonly used in MDE. Any reason why?
