I'm guessing you are still a young lad, so 70 sounds really old to you, but as long as you take care of your health, and especially with the help of the blue pill, there is no reason your bodily functions can't continue working just fine well into your 70's and 80's. Then you should've read the actual law that led to the arrests (1996 Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act). If prostitution was legal in Thailand, prostitutes would have legal status like in Germany and the Netherlands.

Your arguments were already weak from the start, but are getting weaker as you're grasping for straws.

No, they would not have legal status like in the Netherlands. The point of the prevention and suppression act is to discourage it and to criminalize people profiting from it other than the prostitute herself.

How countries approach legality, criminalization, punishment and taxation is completely separate and has no bearing on other countries (see: Norway vs France vs Germany).

The plan to decriminalize prostitution in Thailand has not been passed. Which is why Africans in Phuket still get arrested for it in 2024.

That doesn't support your argument, it weakens it. If prostitution was illegal they would easily be able to apply that to more than Africans. The reason they get arrested can be anything from the 'public decency' part to working in the country illegally. Or did you forget you're not allowed to work in Thailand (or anywhere in the world) without a work permit?

If you don't like facts and real world examples of arrests, simply call the local Thai police and ask them if prostitution is legal.

Your mileage will vary. Plenty of local police will say it is legal.

The main point is the law. You haven't been able to point to a single law saying prostitution itself is legal. Replace the word 'prostitution' with 'murder' in any of the texts of the act and see how silly it sounds. You'd think murder itself is quite legal and accepted by itself! Guess why? Because prostitution is. I don't have to search hard at all to find a law stating an illegal act is illegal. It's only you guys who seem to have a problem with coming up with it.

There was no time to prebook anyone else so I figured I'd take Grab or Bolt. I've used Grab extensively in. The PI (never a problem) but was new to Bolt. I read that it's more popular in Thailand so when I saw a good price I booked it. (1046 baht). On his way to me the "driver" texted me that the tolls are additional, I said "okay, but I only have big bills". (I now believe it was a Manager texting me). Guy arrives and he knows my name and hotel sio my bags go in. The back and I am in. The car when he tells me I need to Cancel the ride in the App and pay cash. I didn't like that, but asked "hoe much?" he said 1400 baht. I showed him. The Bolt page that clearly said 1046 baht. So he called his manager who texted me that it is cash only and I need to cancel the ride. I texted back that that was unacceptable. After some back and forth in Thai the driver says "1200 baht, okay? I say that includes tolls?" he says yes, and realizing I don't want to get my bags out and start this all over I agree. (It's not a terrible price, but it's not the deal I made.). We take off at high speed, hen I get a message from Bolt that "The Driver has cancelled your ride because he couldn't locate you. " That's when I realize that I'm off the grid as far as Bolt is concerned. They have wiped my ride off their App like it never happened, yet I'm in the car. - he could take me anywhere. I start tracking on Google Maps and we are going the right way, but the driver is driving like a maniac and vaping which adds a film noir quality to my first view of nighttime Thailand. Not a pleasant start. Funny thing is when I was paying the guy at my hotel (I waited until I was out of the car in the light with the bellman there) I double checked with the driver that he had change for my second 1000 baht note. He took great offense. "Thai honest people. Thai no lie. " Hunh? You just scammed me.

Something similar happened to me when I arrived at Phuket Airport last year. The Bolt driver didn't want to pick me up in front of the terminal, but asked me to walk to a road that was about 300 meters from the airport. As soon as I was in the car, he wanted me to cancel the ride in the app. When I asked him why, he said that the Bolt drivers are not allowed to pick up people at the airport because there is already an 'official' taxi service there. (I saw this service. There was a long line of people in front of it, and it was about 200 - 300 Baht more expensive than Bolt IIRC, for a ride to Patong Beach.).
He also told me right away that the price would remain the same. He just wanted me to cancel the ride, so there would be no evidence of it in the app. That was his explanation anyway. It's possible that he didn't want to pay Bolt's share, and wanted to have more profit.
Remarkably enough, when I went back to the airport, about five days later, it was no problem at all to book a Bolt, and the driver dropped me off right in front of the terminal.

Without even asking the police why they didn't arrest any of those Africans' customers for anything, the report you linked provided most of the reasons for it:

Lessons learned:

1. Don't be a visibly evident foreigner interloping on legal Thai prostitutes' territory.

2. Don't offer sex in exchange for money so publicly, openly and shamefully that your Thai competitors, nearby business owners and the Immigration police they lodge a complaint with as well as the police who respond to that complaint can so plainly observe what you are doing publicly, openly and shamefully that they can be certain that behavior is the specific crime for which you could and will be arrested.

3. The customers were not the ones being open and shameful about the public negotiation. Only the African prostitutes were. Therefore, there was no violation of Thai law that those customers could be arrested and charged with violating.

Since we're all talking about this I'll add my 2 cents. I've found through my decades of hobbying around the world that where it's actually legal, like in New Zealand or the Netherlands, it's not as good and definitely more expensive. Whatever moral or ethical issues aside, when it's in a legal grey zone like in Thailand, the chicks tend to perform better and of course are more affordable. The exception to that rule might just be Singapore's Geylang, but that was years ago, who knows what it's like now. Even FKK's today are no where near as good as they used to be. With how expensive things have become, legality has made prostitution even more cost prohibitive than it already was, in the very few countries where it's legal. That's why we must support Thailand and how it's running this whole thing, cause it's the only way us old, ugly, Danny Devito types can get any pussy, anywhere on the planet. Quick update from my trip.

Russian clip joints:

Decided to peak inside a few of them to see if anything has changed and they're just as worthless as they've always been. 500 baht for a beer, 1000 baht for a lady drink, 10,000 baht for a shower (no sex). Ugly strippers. Many of the "Russian" ladies begging for lady drinks are not even scantily clad or half naked, they're fully clothed so there is zero point to visit these scam joints.

I would ask the police why none of those Africans' customers were arrested for anything.

I would ask why are they only arresting foreigners with likely visa violation issues at play while thousands more prostitutes with no potential visa issues at all stroll right past their police stations and sidewalk tables before their very eyes day and night. Often with customers in tow.

I would ask the police to please show me the Section in the Thai Penal Code that makes prostitution between consenting adults illegal. And if they won't do that I will bring up the Title IX Sections of The Thai Penal Code on my smart phone and educate them on what the law actually does and does not state.

LOL. The same as I do with the cops and Men In Brown who hassle me about my electric bicycle when they are absolutely certain (but wrong and shown to be wrong by me) about something I have done on a bicycle being illegal when it is not illegal.

That has transpired more than a dozen times over the past 3 years. And I have never been arrested for it nor paid so much as a single baht fine to anyone.
