Your post got me thinking about Thailand hotel prices, so I went back to my hotel records over the last 3 years from 2 different hotels. One hotel has not changed appreciably, just slightly lower price for 2025 than 2022. The other hotel had an increase of about 25% from 2022 to 2025. This is comparison of the same hotels, same class rooms, and same months. I don't have information that is specific to Pattaya, but I've seen nothing close to 25%-75% year to year.

There can be a big difference in price for different booking methods: Agoda, Priceline, Hotels, email to hotel, telephone hotel. Sometimes one is less money, other times another is less money. It also can make a big difference if you book long in advance or if you do a last minute booking.

Me neither. I am in BKK for business around 4 times per year. I do stay at the Radisson Blu Plaza. The price varies throughout the year between 95 and 155 USD a night. No major difference to pre-covid even. (VIP Member prices).

Its called capitalism. Once the victors for market competition emerge, they can then exercise their oligarchical right to push the prices up until the market is at breaking point. Some will complain (you), but the every growing market place will mean that more can and do pay, so we all end up paying more.

More than enough so the girls don't have the necessity to lower the prices. And every season it's the same story but reality is the only direction prices are going is north.

About Pattaya, dam I miss it. I've been unable to make the trip from Bangkok recently. What I have heard is that other than the weekends, Pattaya high season this year has a lot of ladies but nowhere near the amount of tourists that were expected. Therefore, it's basically a free for all with ladies everywhere and tons of selection. Whoever is in Pattaya now, count your lucky charms.

The scene in Chiang Mai is nowhere near that in Pattaya, but the same is true here. Many fewer tourists than expected, so more ladies and the odds are in our favor.
