Well I'm kind of disappointed at the range of stories / topics thru 10 pages here going back to 2022. All the posts are about massage places. Not even the occasional tale of picking up a street hooker.

What you describe with massage parlors is consistent with what I've experienced in Chiang Mai. I interpret the difference between young, pretty girls and old hags to be also related to their massage skills. For example, at a Loi Kroh massage shop a pretty girl took me inside and asked if I wanted "special massage" and I said that I only want a foot massage, the pretty girl then screamed to the back room "PROFESSIONAL!" A few seconds later, an old hag came out and give me a really great foot massage. I've had some crappy massages from pretty Thai girls in massage shops.

There is no need to order alcohol in bars. I often order water, Coke, or juice. Sometimes the girls ask why I don't drink alcohol, but it doesn't change my service.

My first time staying in the area. These are my impressions.

The place is quiet for a red light district. Less traffic than nimman and inside the moat. Demographic skews older.

I tried looking at some of the places mentioned. I looked at nanaplus but I could not see anyone appealing in the lineup. As planned, I returned from a long day tour to temples in Chiang Rai at 7:30 pm, dropped my souvenirs and headed over to NaNa Plus massage. Ignored catcalls and arm grabs for other massages. I asked for Shi-shi, found out it was Chi-chi! She was there and did not act surprised to see me. I was surprised that she wasn't surprised, since these girls get so many promises from men. I'm sorry for the late reply. I just logged in after several months. With a great massage at both places I don't think I spent too much more than $100 in baht all in. If I ever get back, I'm sure I missed half the city and the sex scene beyond the strip. But we went to the Tiger Preserve one day and the Elephant Preserve another day and it's a bit of ride to both but must see IMHO. In retrospect, I should have spent another 2 days just to explore Chiang Mai. It has a lot to offer.

Thank-you for your thoughts. I'm just having fun here in Chiang Mai. Visited here first for the yoga practice, then a long, long (too long) bad relationship finally ended, and on subsequent visits to the Kingdom, I got to explore the erotic side of Bangkok and Chiang Mai. I have been visiting Chiang Mai for 12 winters for 2 months or more. Two, sort of three, main areas for erotic massage in Chiang Mai:

1. Loi Kroh where the majority of the shops are hand jobs and teasing. A few exceptions, of course, it is all in how well you treat the ladies, like Opal at Blue Sky (or across the street, same owner) who gives the best BBBJ in town. Full service along Loi Kroh is less likely, but sometimes possible.

2. Kamphaengdin where the I'm pretty sure all the shops offer full service. BBFS is possible, but not as much unless the ladies already know you.

3. The shops which are not in one particular area, like PinkX, Miyabi, Darin Club, Absolute Paradise, Dolphin, Queen Club, Soft Touch, Phoenix Club. These are what I refer to as the "assembly line" shops. You go in, select a lady, pay up front at the counter for what you want, and then go to the room. Neither BBBJ nor BBFS are likely at these shops. Maybe BBBJ, but BBFS almost never.

I suggest walking along Kamphaengdin in the evening, talking to the ladies, when you find one you like, go for it. When you're in the room and things escalate to FS, the option to use a condom or not can be discussed. They probably won't want to discuss that outside.

Had a few days in Chiang Mai & used advice from ISG for punting. Bars & massage places on Loi Kroh Road & Kamphaengdin were mostly full of fat old ladies.

Pink X had a good selection of girls. Some more enthusiastic than others. Price 2800 for BJ & sex. Bit more for "pretty" and VIP girls. Had 4 girls there over. I like very petite girls, who were mostly in 2,800 baht category. The only time I chose more expensive girl, she only offered covered BJ. This was a big disappointment for me, as BBBJ is what gets me going. She was otherwise compliant & hard working.

Soft Massage for Health had 4 or 5 girls and closes early. Might have been able to negotiate on price but was something cheap, like 1,800, so didn't bother. Only had 1 girl there, who spoke very little English but was sweet and enthusiastic.

Dolphin massage has a few girls, took one that looked a bit like Lucy Liu. 2,500 included shower, nuru massage, BBBJ & sex.

Asked massage place alongside the Night market if they offered special massage with sex. They offered a hand job or to send a girl to my room but I declined.

Surprised how quiet Chiang Mai was over Christmas season, 24 to 30 Dec. Most bars, restaurants & massage places along Sridonchai, Loi Kroh Road & Kamphaengdin were empty.
