I've been spending Christmas and New Years in MDE for the past 5 years and simply put, I love it! I can see why many are apprehensive about being here during this time due to increased crime and girls flaking out with family events. And if you're a newbie, it's definitely one of the worst times to go, but for me it's the best time. I speak the language, immersed in the culture, and have done many barrio parties and family outings with chicas in Aranjuez, Buenos Aires, Manrique, and even up in Popular. And that's without even mentioning the North side.
