After flying to Manila, paying for a place to stay, I don't want to loose out on spending time with a winner to save myself 1 k or 2 k ($20 or $40). Thinking of offering 5000 but let me know what you all think.

5 K manila will depend 2 things. 1) What platform you wish to go hunting in. 2) time is money so if you have the time to explore different and multiple avenues then 5 k would be more or less middle, if you don't have the time or don't wish to put in the time, then 5 k will be bottom.

You won't have any problems finding partimers for 5 k LT / overnight. It's fair without being ridiculous.

For just a few hours you could trim it to 3 or 4 k without any issues.

Some will chime in saying you can get girls for 10 cents but costs are higher in Manila, you're fresh meat and time sensitive so don't listen to the critics.

However, remember that there are now quite a few girls requesting ridiculous amounts and giving piss poor service in return. Ignore anyone asking for 10 or 15 k regardless of what they promise and just move on.

I did. I signed up with my passport. But I'm not using it for anything nefarious, either.

My android phone was mid-range and gave me lots of problems trying to sign up, but my iPhone did it just fine.

Most of them prefer cash, but I have paid with Gcash a lot of times. I have used Gcash to pay the barfines and the girls many times and it works also, but it is hard to beat cash.

2) can you change the money and get a sim card straight from the airport?

Yes you can change money at the airport just don't change too much. SIM card if you are unfamiliar with how the set up works, I would recommend getting a SIM, load, and promo at the airport. There are booths as you exit for many of the mobile brands, but I would stick to either Smart or Globe. Hand them your phone, tell them you want a 5G SIM, also you would like to purchase load, and have them add the promo for all network talk, text, and surf. That way you are live as soon as you leave the booth. Trust me its easier for them to do everything (if you are not familiar with the process) and you can start your journey in the taxi ride to your destination.

Depends on the girl (to difficult to explain all the different types) but expect to pay for transpo if online. Girls will want transpo to you and ask for a certain amount. The amount is usually based upon angkas or joyride and granted it is "faster" in travel time on a moto as opposed to a car, but until you get use to philipina time its going to be way longer. The cost for a grab standard and a joyride is almost the same, for us it is virtually negligible. It's better to download and set up grab on your mobile and send a car to pick them up. Again if you are not use to Pina time, it will save you a lot of stress.

Girls will prefer cash. The in-country transfer apps most widely used will be GCash or Paymaya. Alternately you can get a Cebuana remittance account for in-country transfers. You can use Remitly or other international remittance service to send directly to your girl's GCash account. Besides paying her this way, GC or PM are simple ways to send her taxi / jeepney / motorcycle fare money to get her to your place.

Yes to both. The airport money changers have reasonable rates. Never hurts to get some Phils pesos in our pocket before boarding your flight.

Grab is the car transport app in Phils (similar to Uber). You can download and set up the app to your credit card before you depart your country and arrive ready to go in Phils. Some guys use Grab to bring girls to them or send them home. Other fellas use the motorcycle-taxi apps (Joyride, Grab, Angkas, and MoveIt) to do the same. Some guys just remit the fare directly to the girl and let her worry about the transport. Other fellas don't worry at all about transport or fare, they just let the girl worry about it.
