I've read that tipping in Japan may actually show disrespect. Is this really accurate? Certainly not complaining if it is but I need to then curb my tipping because I do so without thinking out of habit if service good.

Just don't tip, it's not a thing. It will lead to confusion more than anything at a normal establishment. Giving back exact change to customers is also very important in Japan. Certainly, you can find unusual exceptions such as shop run by foreigners or that deal with mostly foreigners. But that is unusual and you should not tip in Japan. There is nothing more to it.

There are other websites that have reviews, but I don't use them anymore. Even when other reviewers are honest, they usually don't share my taste or standards in women. Rather, I find shops I like and just keep using them. Same way I keep using Manzoku to get into shops, because I know Manzoku lists legit shops and is professional and knowledgeable about each one. To your first question. It depended on the agency. All the girls at THC brought it up first, either when I asked for the menu or during the session when things heated up.
