Report Peru.
By posting this February report I would like to contribute my 2 soles to the cause. After all, in Lima 1. 5 soles buys you a weekly edition of a pornographic leaflet called Polvaz or Great Fuck. You can get it at streetcorner news kiosk. Just lean in and ask a vendor with a lecherous smile and he will procure it de profundi.
First things first. I have to deal with a perennial issue of talking Schwab and ATMs. It's simple. Use Bank de la Nacion and it's MultiRed ATM's. You can withdraw maximum 400 soles however without any fee. Scotiabank charges 24 soles on 400 soles withdrawal and BCP 36 soles on 700 soles withdrawal. Unless cash is only option I used my credit card everywhere.
I would like to thank among others the recent contributors to the thread: TomJackin, CoffeeMat, Jack Jericho and Tnfsh217.
My record in Lima is incidental. I don't live in Lima. By all means, I am no expert on the place.
Going in February paid off well. I got lush green hills and almost no tourists in Cuzco and balmy summer weather in Lima.
https://www.lima-airport.com/ Yes, there is free WiFi at Lima Airport (Jorge Chavez International Airport). It is available throughout the airport, including in the public areas and in the restricted waiting areas. To connect to the free WIFI, simply select the network called FreeAeropuertoGTD. No password is required. In my case the immigration and customs took almost an hour. Hopefully, a new terminal will help soon in easing congestion. You can use
https://www.airportexpresslima.com/ to transfer to Miraflores at a cost of 15 soles. I took a taxi for 60 soles.
Note on transportation: Lima is one of the few large capitals in the world (like Nairobi or Belgrade) without underground metro. Public buses have multiple stops, and you risk a stampede during rush hours. You can use an app like Uber or Cabify. To pay cash they ask for DNI or local ID which you don't have. Since I have an unresolved issue with Uber I used taxis everywhere. Usually, it's easier and cheaper to get out of Miraflores than return. In many cases drivers don't want to leave their area and take longer trips. Try to use a dedicated secure taxi service or ask the venue for a secure service. Here one with consistent low rates and great vehicles:
https://3555555satelital.com/ Drivers put on aircon and nice oldies on 88.3 FM Radio Magica:
https://www.oigo.com/magica/radioenvivo/ . Taxis have an extra yellow plaque with 3 letters and 3 numbers and usually are black or yellow vehicles. They have never heard of Turkmenistan where all the vehicles are white by law. If need a dedicated driver message me. A tip: in case you are in a situation no driver wants to take you back; ask how far they can take you to some busy commercial area towards your address and then take the second service back home from that area. During rush hour traffic is slower than bicycles, so where walking takes an hour, driving may take 45 minutes. Take security seriously as criminals regularly use fake or stolen vehicles.
Out of 46 districts of Lima with the exception of Villa de Salvador the northern and eastern districts are most problematic with SJL San Juan de Lurigancho is the most troublesome. Others include Ate, Ancon, Caraballo, Comas, Independencia, LOS Olivos, Lurigancho-Chosica, Puente Piedra, Rimac, San Martin de Porres, Santa Rosa and Ventanilla (Callao).
I used Sumaq Lounge on my way back and can highly recommend it. Opening Hours 24 hours daily. Location International Terminal International Departure Level 2 Near Boarding Gate 17 Airside. After security check, the lounge is in front of gate 17, on the left side. - 3 hours max stay. You can pick up a bottle of pisco here:
https://www.aeliadutyfree.pe/lima/en...esult/?q=pisco
https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pisco_del_Per.
I stayed in an aparthotel in Miraflores near Kennedy Park. There are some nice areas in Barranco, San Isidro, competitive areas in Lince etc but you should have clear reason why to choose other areas. By no means should you even entertain the idea of staying in the north closer to chongos. I used the following supermarket nearby: Metro see. Schell 250, Miraflores, open 8 am to 11 pm. By some weird reason the supermarket won't sell you large single bottles of beer unless you first deposit an empty bottle. The last time I recall such experiment was in 1983.
Beer: I can recommend Cerveza Pilsen Callao, Cusquena Dorada and Cusquena Negra, see:
https://www.backus.pe/cervezas-y-bebidas Av. Petit Thouars in Miraflores is where you can find handicrafts stores.
Basically, in Lima you can visit brothels or chongos, see street action, visit night clubs, seek paid companionship online, visit massage parlours legal and illegal, visit saunas and explore Seeking and other social apps if you have longer time. I will post here a sample of mostly what I have visited. There are many other options which you can map for yourself by watching youtube videos or reading local fora.
Let's start with street action in Lima:
Street action at Parque Kennedy and Pizza Alley can be described as they say 'muy pessimo'. Usually, I got not more than one solicitation per night including one from a 'modern woman' and the quality was depressive. The first venue you may check out are the benches on calle Virgen Milagrosa near Parroquia La Virgen Milagrosa. Remember, you are 'parroquiano' or parishioner and girls are 'monjas' or nuns. The second venue are the benches near Diagonal Live Music bar (3rd floor Benavides 340-378 THU, FRI, SAT from 6 pm). The bar itself is dark and uninviting, and I saw only a couple of girls there nothing to report about. I saw one doable mature girl at Wahios Bar on Calle Berlin, but she was accompanied by her client or her pimp, hard to say.
Touts at both ends of Calle San Ramon promise discounts on entry fees to clubs and a ride likely at the cost of bumped up drink prices: Suites de Barranco at Av. Repblica de Panam 140, Barranco and Club Venecia at Av Nicols Arriola 177, La Victoria and Harem Club, Social club Av. P. de la Repblica 4947, Surquillo.
Street action in Zepita:
Usual rates there are 50 soles for 20 minutes plus 20 soles for a 'telo' or hotel. From Plaza San Martin the walk to Plaza dos de Mayo is about 15 min. You can follow the loop from intersection of Ave. Nicolas de Pierola and Jiron Chancay to Plaza dos de Mayo, then south on Ave Alfonso Ugarte to Jiron Zepita until the intersection with Jiron Chancay. Check out the following streets within the loop: Pje. Penaloza, Jiron Canete, Pje. Larrabure. (I'm omitting Spanish symbols, look up the map near Plaza dos de Mayo. Even with right spelling google may redirect you into a wrong area). Nearby there are many shops selling musical instruments. Any questions from LE and you can tell you've just visited a nearby Museo Nacional de la Cultura Peruana and now would like to buy a nice guitar. Don't expect here much quality, it's the old red-light district catering to locals at bottom prices.
Street action around Risso Mall in Lince: The mall is at Av. Arequipa 2097, Lince 15046. There is a cinema there, and a benches area near MacDonald's is where you can strike a conversation if you wish. Check out the following block between Av. Arequipa Jiron Risso Petit Thouars Jose Bernardo Alcedo from 5 pm to 10 pm. Girls usually congregate in groups and often dress in pink and white, for example white mini skirt and pink top. Given the recent turf struggle between the locals and Venezuelans the mayor started a public works project on Calle Alcedo, where all short-term hotels are located. So, the word 'polvo' reverted to its original meaning. I took a girl into Hotel Astoria, Jos Bernardo Alcedo 230, Lince. The hotel was 50 soles for half an hour. My young Botero-esque Caraquenian took 150 soles. She was well lubricated, so at the end I used the preferable position for such cases, a reverse missionary when she was on her stomach with legs closed. She quoted 100 soles more for extras and sent her photos later to my WA.
You can also check out these three areas for street action:
A) Streets near Centro Comercial La Rambla at Av. Javier Prado Este 2010, San Borja
https://larambla.pe/ and near Rustica at Av. Aviaciand 2482, San Borja.
B) Jr. S. A. Salaverry and near hotels Caribbean, Asturia and on Calle LOS Andes near Megaplaza Mall
www.megaplaza.com.pe/independencia Av. Alfredo Mendiola 3698, Independencia.
Urbanizacion Industrial Panamericana Norte San Martand de Porres.
C) Along Av. Tomas Valle near Plaza Norte, plazanorte. Pe / Plaza Norte Shopping Mall Pan-American Highway North, Av. Toms Valle, Independencia 15311 (Urbanizacion Fiori Industrial SMP).
Chongos are legal organized brothels with clear set rules and affordable prices that cater to locals. Locals often use minibuses which bring them for 4-5 soles to the destination. All of them are far away. Do not walk or bike there, don't contemplate staying nearby.
Trocadero is the oldest in the country, maybe about 60 years old. It's a must visit just to show respect for the venue. Remember, generations of Peruvians spent both their adolescence and old age there. Trocadero is in Callao at Av. Nestor Gambetta 318, Callao. The regular entrance is 15 soles and girls charge 40 to 50 soles for 15 to 20 minutes. Trocadero is open 2 pm to midnight daily.
Rules: no hats, no cameras, although I saw a few dudes wearing caps. There are two entrances to the facility. I entered from Nestor Gambetta 354, from the side of Planta Quintia and paid only 10 soles. The layout of the chongo resembles a prison cell block with 1 storey building followed by 2 storey building. The lightning is red light like on submarines. You can buy drinks and seat in the area between two opposite walls with numbered doors. There is also a show podium. I got a bit early so decided to chill and observe. One of the milfs took 3 customers within 1 hour and her door literally didn't close. Then at some time a weird thing happened. The ghost of Marlon Brando materialized. He, the ghost, had a backpack, was dressed in heavy winter clothes and looked like he just stepped out of the freezer. He didn't take a seat, didn't take a drink or talk to girls. He was just standing near the wall drawn as if in greenish greyish palette in red lighting of the chongo. Then he just walked away. I took a mamacita from Valledupar, Colombia at 40 soles. Chongos are in a way a high-pressure environment when often you have to choose fast. Too often I realized that my dick was on his own schedule and his own agenda, different from its master. I am at the age of a man that fancies two groups of legal age: girls that might be of age of my daughters and girls that might be of age of my granddaughters. I want them slim and gracious, but my dick wants them buxom and intense.
Eventually I developed my local Lima Connection that runs a black book and deliver on whatever peculiar wish.
Las Serenitas (Crda. 50 de Gerardo Unger, LOS Olivos) is likely the best chongo today. The entrance is 50 metres south from drivers parking. It's a must visit. Some very hot girls can be found here, and they take pride of what they do. The layout is the same 2 storey prison type block. The club runs regular shows. Talked to a great Ecuadorian, then stepped aside only to realize later I missed Gabriela by waiting near the wrong door. So, you realize why locals write door numbers and names on local online boards and why many prefer quality of service over looks. The whole scene of the chongo is just bizarre. It resembles a buzzing hive with hordes of men swinging like dervishes between the floors and the doors and corridors, some mumbling mantras, others working on offers girl don't want to take. There are very many very young guys, much more than older guys. In many cases taking half a second decision to take a hot girl may be too late, as it should have been done in a quarter of a second. When you walk along a corridor you realize quite fast that you may miss many girls on a shift and never see them because they would be always occupied. I took a spinner from Guayaquil, Ecuador for 50 soles and she did a perfect girl on top which is a position I rarely do. By the way ask girls for photos behind the closed doors, most obliged for free or for a tip. The funny thing is that the chongo has all kind of legally right stickers on its walls, from an invitation to call 1818 and denounce, to spray your dick to sanitize it stickers, to a sticker of Miluska Vida why Dignidad A. See (
https://www.nswp.org/members/latin-a...-y-dignidad-ac). If Las Serenitas was not enough, this one is nearby: La Colmena at Calle LOS Taladros 193, San Martand de Porres.
Clinica del Corazon at Av. Portada del Sol 864, Urb. Zarate Lima. Lima - San Juan de Lurigancho.
https://www.instagram.com/clinicadelcorazonoficial/ is the newest chongo worth visiting. Rooms are named 'Consultorio' and the bar 'Barmacia'. I have expected girls dressed like nurses with stethoscopes etc but alas. The joint has a tv screen at the entrance with names, rooms and nationalities at the present shift posted. However, you can't take photos. Writing gets girls spooked and I got a warning from security. One of the guards looked like Jaws from 007 franchise. Took an assertive girl from Valencia, Venezuela for 50 soles and tipped her so she can buy her a beer at the bar. All prices for water, beer at chongos are reasonable.
Spanish:
If you are not a native speaker like myself, I would suggest you may build up your own local Spanish vocabulary by reading fora, ads etc, here a sample from mine: A pelo unprotected sex, Cache sexual act, Caleta low profile; quiet; hidden, Charapa girl from Amazonian jungle, Chato of low height, Chambear to work, Chibola young girl, Chola white / Amerindian mix, Colocha curly haired; prostitute, Jirand. Tourism:
There are two tourist shops in Miraflores: Tourist Information at Kennedy Pje. Juan Figari 117, Miraflores 7 am to 9 pm where you can also get your SIM, and Tourist Information at Larco Av. Jose Larco 799, Miraflores 8 am to 9 pm. Always ask what kind of a brochure they may have hidden under the desk as I got some very good ones, they just ask for your country of origin and write it the journal for the record.
When you visit museums, I would suggest taking guided tours in Spanish for their narrative quality. Clearly visit Larco Herrera Museum
https://www.museolarco.org/en/.
Av. Simon Bolivar 1515, Pueblo Libre (entrance from Calle Navarra 169).
Daily 9 am to 7 pm. 40 Soles, photos no flash, small bags, backpacks into custody for free.
https://www.museolarco.org/en/exhibition/erotic-room/ You can take a 1 hour guided tour for 10 soles extra, but it had not much value in my experience.
The changing of the guard from about 11:55 am to 12:20 pm can be seen from the Plaza Mayor (Plaza de Armas), opposite of Palacio de Gobierno.
Here are my four romantic favorites for summer, should you have a girlfriend consider the following:
Morning in Callao and Palominas Islands, Late Lunch in Playa Punta Hermosa, Sunset at Love's Park to Dinner at Larcomar and Night at Magic Water Circuit.
Morning in Callao and Palominas Islands: Take a ride to Museo Abtao in Callao, Museo Abtao del Callao at Jorge Chavez 120-A open 9:30 am entrance 20 Soles cash only. Then walk or take a short ride to the Yacht Club. Buy a tour to Palomino islands from the Yacht Club by Ecocruseros 11:30 am Mon. Fri, weekends and holidays at 10 am and also during summer at 2:30 pm at 200 soles per person
www.islaspalomino.com.pe You can swim with sea lions. (As a stand-up comedy episode, I have never wanted to swim with sea lions. Just imagine you have got your wings and pizza in front of a Super Bowl screen and then the door opens, and you see a group of stinky sea lions who showed up just to chill with you, LOL) There is also an El Cheapo option, a 15 soles Callao bay boat trip from Darsena Pier in Callao.
Late Lunch in Playa Punta Hermosa Beach: take a ride to Playa Punta Hermosa or Playa Punta Rocas at about 100 soles one way. Choose your fish restaurant. Watch for UV.
Sunset at Love's Park to Dinner at Larcomar: Meet at Parque del Amor (Enamorados Park) Love's Park, Mal. Cisneros, Miraflores before the sunset. Consult sunset times here:
www.timeanddate.com/sun/peru/lima Then walk along Malecon de la Reserva to Larcomar Mall for a dinner facing the Pacific Ocean.
Night at Magic Water Circuit: Take a ride to Gate 3 of Parque de la Reserva.
26 Parque de la Reserva (Circuito Magico del Agua) Light shows at 19:15, 20:15, 21:10. Final thoughts: With a mild climate, reasonable prices and the same time zone as on the East Coast, I would give Lima 7 out of 10 points, with points deducted for lack of underground transportation, poor beach quality and mostly foreign talent. And we all know where those three are not the issue, right?
