There's nothing wrong with talking about the scams in particular for new comers never ran into the double price scam. Hey as for the 2 chicks dude I made it perfectly clear I was going to teach them a lesson the hard way. I got so tired of these stories of them having the upper hand. And I'm not making this shit up. Everybody knows the Sosua scams. They have been repeated here ad nauseum for over 10 years. You even say you already know about it. You need to hear one more time they are going to promise the services you want and not do them? They are going to promise you 2 hours but be ready to go after 15 minutes. Agree to 2000, but at the end say 4000. They are going to steal your shit. They are going to rush you to finish. They are going to want 400 pesos for a 50 peso motorbike taxi ride. Everybody knows this including you. You are acting like you have never been there before. Sosua has been this way for the last 15 years. It has not gone back to the Old Sosua before that. Any other changes are going to be for the worst, not the better.

Come on man. Explorer just reported about his long stay. 25 girls walking in circles. Then I just reported the same thing AND posted pictures. You even said you fucked one of the chicks in the pictures. In my Tyrese voice, What More Do You Want?! Even if the next person comes and says there were 800 girls last night, that does not mean it will be 800 the next day when you arrive..

I rarely get down to the strip at night anymore but I was there a couple of nights ago, and it was crazy, the number of mongers and chicas. Thriving and vibing almost like old times.

Me and Princessa dropped in to see my old friend Rosa at her little bar across from Rocky's. She used to manage my fave hangout spot the Bermuda bar on the main corner. When it closed down, she opened up a little nail salon around the corner with a massage room at the back. Kept a fridge full of beer she bought from the colmada across the street, for the regulars. Over the years she worked hard and invested and gradually transformed it into a real bar. I helped her with pub stuff I would bring with me when I was a regular visitor to DR. My stuff is still on the wall there. My Princessa even painted the wall for her at our expense in the early days. Today Rosa is her own buss, makes a lot of money, and drives a beautiful car!

Rosa's always been my contact central for casual acquaintances who say they will come down one day and look me up. I don't do the hosting bit with hit or miss casual visitors I may know peripherally. I just tell them if they are in town, drop in to Rosa's and she has my number. Depending on who it is, I can be their in 15 minutes.

For me, who's been on the road all my life, there's something special about belonging to a place and the people, as opposed to looking at it all thru a window. Terminal health problems and family in Canada are the only reasons I'd give up my DR if it comes to that!

But sitting there with my honey and a cold Presidente Lite, it was like old times. Dr Rosen was busy and I wouldn't even try to count the number of chicas on the stroll.

There's definitely a noticeable change in the average monger. I wouldn't even refer to them as mongers, because they are younger, more affluent, and definitely more fun than the old vet breed who used to post up, suck your brain for info and "intel" out of each other, like they were on a military sortie in Viet Nam. Serious stuff! LOL. They'd get a little jealous of the cool chica you're with, and try to lure her with dinero, while you are in the pisser.

(I still see losers who demand you post every detail of your P4 P personal business dealings, where, when and how, and how much you spent, like a nagging wife! Hell, my best buddy never wanted that amount of detail, LOL).

These newer guys are just here to party, and everybody is smiling!! Note- I'll be long gone by the time the liquor kicks in and the hoes start fighting about the last drunk tourist at 4. AM. My momma said nothing good ever happens on the street after midnight. Maybe she was right.

So, who knows? What with frequent critics like Mr. E, Explorer and MwenByen gracing us with their recent presence, the predicted demise of "shithouse" "puta pueblo" may have to be re-scheduled!

And, can Sudsy be far behind? He claimed to have a business, a residence, and 3 (three) "Wives" (sic) who he "supports", and his "roots" here in the DR!

Good Day Fellas, I need some updates on Sosua is it busy or still slow? My last trip I felt like I was the only man on Earth in a land full women! I will be back in the DR again this month mainly in Santo Domingo but I will not and I repeat will not be partaking in any activities in Santo Domingo I will be there for business only but I might sneak down to Sosua and peep the scene.

I'd like to help you, but you've said you believe my updates are not accurate.

But assuming you are not just trolling, like your Thai brothers, and are actually planning to come to our little puta pueblo, in the spirit of brotherly mongering I will refer you to these recent reports from a previous visitor who reminds me a lot of you!

Nothing's really changed since he / you were here a few weeks ago.

Sosua Update

I'm currently in Sosua, I can tell you guys this things changed up some since my last visit. I noticed several businesses has closed and new businesses opened. Strange enough they have 2 cosmetic density buildings on Dr. Rosen that are rather busy with both locals and foreigners. Not that many tourists here the average age for a tourist is around 45. Blue Ice barely has any customers Rumbas always have their loyal fan based. The German bars has its fan bases per our pervious post 60% Haitian women work that post in front of that bar is being pimp by the Germans. The women are not that bad looking but not many big butt chicks other here. 5000 pesos seems to be the average price asked by most women who have killer bodies and 4000 is what most will accept. One of my regulars refused to give me a discount. She told me shit been slow for her over a year. Many girls out here looks underage but surprisingly their ID contradicts things tons of police been outside lately. I spoke to one cop he told me it been an increase amount of violence between the chicas and their dates over money and they are her to protect people. A lot of stealing and up selling going on tourism has been on the decline because of that. Most of the girls tells me they hate playa Chiquita Casino because it's too slow, the food, drinks and moto taxi is too much taken out of their budget.

Sosua Update

Few things about Sosua
You have Haitian guys trying to sell you counterfeit headphones and phone chargers that are factory sealed. I'll be cautious buying something from those guys because sometimes it might not be shit inside of that box, those guys are extremely persistent about 60% annoying as Boca Chica. I noticed that it was this one Haitian guy who was a quote on quote whom I had the unfortunate opportunity to keep running into him whenever I leave a restaurant or store with his ho. And he kept trying to introduce me to her. I almost slap his ass in front of her.

Expect to be charged more for pedicures, manicures and massages than what was discussed without extra services being conducted. I went to three different places to get each service done. I was charged an extra 200-450 pesos this one woman told me she had to charge me extra than what was discussed was because it has been very slow and she has to make up for last revenue. On Pedro Clisante not on the strip but near the liquor store by the banks. It used to be a Dominican place that used to sell cheap hot fresh meals (cash only) well they remodeled the building and the end result is that the place no longer sells hotel fresh meals but old meals that taste stale and to make matters worse I broke my teeth on some fried chicken. I had to stick with Rumbas and Coco Loco for my food supply. Franisca at Coco Loco is starting to get kinda chubby but she still looks ass looks incredible in those blue jeans she was wearing I asked about bare sex from several women they told me that it has been a outbreak of syphilis among the women so everyone has their guard up. I don't know it's true or not no condom sex was impossible to get even from the Dominicans! Don't judge guys who participated in such activities from time to time. I was glad they had lighting by the German bars now and the police was very close by too! Way too many trannies out that night and the pickpocketed didn't have that infamous cover of darkness anymore.

I don'think anyone can disagree that theres an abundance of scamming chicas in sosua due to the independence of the freelancers without anyone to answer to and knowing that we don't want any problems at the rental leaves us very vvulnerable. The safest girls to deal with are the ole skool girls in rumba sitting to the left when you first walk in rumba..

I drove in from Santiago stopping in Maimon to eat some fish. They put in on the scale and charged by weight. Damn the prices have gone up it seems. I got to Sosua and had to look for a place. I stopped in Europa but the lady said $60. I told her online it says $50. She said those are posted by independent owners of certain rooms.

I met a chick online who is a school teacher and lives in Lower Sosua. When she finished work, I went to pick her up and we went to Cabarete. I actually like Cabarete. It was romantic eating on the beach at dusk and the place was really cheap. A pina colada there was 250 versus the 550 ripoff the day before at Playa Punta Rucia with my girl in Santiago. I think the ice cream we had at Bon after was more expensive than the food and drinks on the beach.

We went back to my hotel and watched Old School on my projector. We had planned to watch 40 Year Old Virgin, but I did not have it on my tablet as I thought. My room was nice. It was well away from the strip. She had actually requested I get a place far away because she did not want people to think she was a hooker. I found the hotel on booking, but instead of booking it, went there to bargain with the owner. He lives in Florida and security had to call him on the phone. I got the best room there for $45. Suite right in front of the pool had a sofa and coffee table..

Hey I had the black chick with the glasses on the first picture. Ironically she's wearing the same shit when I first met her, she is ghetto a very heavy smoker!
