Years ago, there was a mom and pop pharmacy on Walking Street. That one closed.

Ya, I tried to get Cipro from all the chain pharmacies around Fields. None of them would sell it to me. That mom and pop pharmacy on Fields did; but even they were hesitant.

I would google "Pharmacy" on Google Maps. Look for one that doesn't look like a chain pharmacy. Then try your luck. Even better, get them while you're in Thailand (or maybe Vietnam).

Or the best way, just see a doctor in Angeles (there's at least one on Fields, probably more; they should be relatively cheap), and get a prescription. I never tried the online method.

I agree with HH on this one. Not sure why it was deleted. Nothing political was advocated in his remarks. He simply answered the question about why Americans feel they are entitled when they come to the Philippines. Many Americans fought for the Philippines in WWII and this is history, a fact.

If you don't want an in person consultation, there are lots of online docs available at short notice. They will organise tests and email you official prescriptions.

An option if you can't find a no questions asked pharmacy. These still exist but they are getting rarer everywhere.

My point was that there are still countless hookers in the USA regardless of it being illegal or how much you have to pay them. The truth is that nobody is really trying hard to make prostitution legal in the United States because they don't want to be seen as pushing something that's viewed as morally unacceptable in the culture. So what gives then if so much money is changing hands in the USA between tutes and mongers? Well like a lot of things, Americans are just plain hypocrites!

The "cultural attitude" says that prostitution is morally unacceptable, but then people go and slink around and engage in it anyway. You see Mr. E, to get it right you need to be more sophisticated in your thinking on the subject. It isn't enough to say that a lot of people engage in prostitution, therefore there must be no cultural bias against it. No, you don't have to look deep to see that there actually is a cultural attitude that helps keep prostitution illegal in the USA. But many people, being people, will act in a way that's contrary to what their culture taught them is wrong, and they will do it in secret feeling guilt and shame. My point is that it's possible to have a cultural bias against something and still have lots of people engaging in that same very thing. You're right. Americans are not prudes. We're just hypocrites on the topic of prostitution! It's wrong don't do it on the one hand (cultural bias) but then P4 P is huge in the States anyway (reality of people being people).

The definition of a bias isn't that you don't do a particular thing. It's that you have a lean one way. But you could still go in the other direction despite the bias. The American "cultural lean" is most definitely to reject prostitution. I'm American born and bred and know in my bones for that to be true. But what I also know to be true is that many Americans go in the opposite directions despite the teachings of their culture. The cultural bias is there. But many people (not all) do it anyway.

We are drifting to far from the topic here.
