Wanted to know how is the current mongering action now with this emergency?

Is there a curfew?

Are the Chongos still a go?

Just talked to my girl in Lima. Yeah, because of the gangs extorting the bus companies and the violence from that, the Police are cracking down. The whole of Lima is placed under Police Emergency, which can only last a maximum of 60 days. However, the Police are concentrating on the main trouble areas like El Agustino, Callao, etc. Miraflores and Barranco are unaffacted. Since most foreigners stay and these 2 areas, the pooning goes on. As for chongos, not sure where the ones you are planning to go to are located. There is no curfew in the sense that you have to be indoors at sunset kind of thing. If I was in Lima right now, it wouldn't affect me because I usually stay around Miraflores and have outcalls to my airbnb anyway. I wouldn't have any need to go into El Agustino.

Do you think that this is the end game for monging in Lima? The police are cracking down and that is it! Game over (Hello, Cambodia 2007/09).

What happened to Iquitos? Was there not a crack down there? Why are there no post on the Iquitos forum since 2020 covid eara.

Speaking of 2020 and the above curfews / lockdowns; they where never supposed to end where they!

Always carry an ID. Avoid San Juan de Lurigancho. San Carlos is a lower area of that region where the crime happened that lead to this round of emergency.

Thanks for replying, and AngmoLover. Hopefully a combination of checking in advance with the host and relaxed security (slip some cash as well) will be enough.

The street scene in both Lince and Zepita does look really good. And I have found a few girls on Instagram who are also escorts. I've been quoted 900 soles for all night, bare. Another girl is asking 500 soles for 3 hrs bare.

I get some success on Seeking. Also, via recommendations in this section. I will try Glambu next time I am in Lima. Actually, if you had a good time with a girl, it's always fair game to ask if they have a GF that might be interested in some time with you. For Airbnb, I usually book something that sleeps 4. Even though there is only myself and my wife. I tell the host that the other 2 people are coming in later. So, when I bring girls up, the host or the security is not in a hissy fit about it. After all, they are expecting more then the 2 people who checked in. Price wise, it's not much more. And sometimes, a girl might want to stay overnight, the other room will come in useful.

I know that probably the worst rates are in the airport.

ANy intel on where in Lima / Miraflores would be a trusted and reasonable shop to exchange cash?

I agree Angmo that it's better to have them come to you. But where do you find them? If you go online, how do you know that what shows up at your hotel will look as good as the online pictures? Not to mention that very few will show a face foto. Are these chicas coming to your hotel normally prescreened because you found them at nightclubs or daytime spas first?

No uber driver will go into an apartment with you. That is just all sorts of potential risk for them. However, you can negotiate with an Uber driver for the use of his services for x number of hours to bring you around for sightseeing. In Lima, I almost never go to the girl's place. I prefer to do outcalls and have them come to me. Having said that, I am sure there are Uber drivers who know all sorts of micro brothels.
