FWIW here are my thoughts.

Tulip is the 'legend', pretty much ANYTHING goes there and as many fellow punters will confirm it has a reputation for a reason. The girls vary from awful to decent (you won't find any stunners there) but you will get exceptional PSE service from pretty much all of them; however the real downside is the place is very shabby with crap decor & small rooms, but you aren't going there for the rooms so does it really matter? It's def worth a visit of you're brave enough.

Snow White & Cherry have now combined, not as PSE as Tulip (nowhere is) but they will also pretty much do anything. Girls tend to be slightly better looking than Tulip but not all of them do everything (I. E. Anal) so best ask the Mammasan what you want & she will ensure all OK. Rooms are definitely cleaner & nicer than Tulip & if you get the right girl the service is 99% of Tulips (IMHO).

Bamboo to me is the most underrated of the lot & I really don't know why? Clean rooms, nice atmosphere and some of the girls are pretty good looking IMHO. As long as you know what you want and explain in detail to the Mammasan then you will get what you are after. I've been multiple times (if you can't tell) and have never been disappointed. Bamboo is a tad more expensive than the others but it's peanuts for USD / GBP / AUD tourists so what does it matter?

I'm planning on heading to BKK next month in April for a short 3-4 day getaway after the songkran festival. I plan on staying in the DMK airport area given there are so many nice hotels at a very reasonable price compared to the ones on Sukhumvit road. A quick scan reveals hotels like 12 day residence and 7 days premium all under 5000 THB for 3-4 nights total.

Are there any good mongering establishments in the DMK neighbourhood within walking distance? Also on the look out for some legit massage shops that provide foot massages as they are my nightly favourite before going to bed. I plan on taking grab every evening to sukhumvit road to forage for punani and then again back to my hotel in the DMK area. I wonder how much would a single one way trip cost and and hopefully it would burn a hole in my wallet.

Soi Nana. African hookers on the corner where the store closes up, a whole line up of them, ugly and pungent. I did see one mobile who was actually attractive, a young one too. This morning I took a taxi on that route and it was 500 baht and 45 minutes. That 45 minutes can get up to a couple hours in times of bad traffic, I’ve experienced that. Based on 500 baht for taxi, perhaps 300 for Grab.

The overall concept does not seem good to me. Too much wasted time in transportation

Tip: just open the grap app while outside Thailand and enter the to and from addresses to see what it will cost, and google maps for a better idea of how long it will take. My guess is one hour plus each way, so I wouldn't bother with that myself.

Visited Thermae Bar last night to see how the scene is holding up. It was busy, with the usual mix of Japanese and Korean men, and some Westerners. Westerners were the sure minority.

Observations:

I saw one middle-aged Russian guy strike out with at least 10 different girls. Most weren't interested, and one didn't even bother looking up from her phone while he tried talking to her.

From what I saw, Asian guys (especially Japanese / Korean) still have a clear advantage. Girls are more responsive to them.

If you're non-Asian, it's best to wait for eye contact. That's the only real sign of interest that means something. Approaching random girls who haven't looked at you first is a waste of time.
