Posts: 424Campo is not going to open. I do not see any info on that. There is not any place for monger in my opinion in Curacao. There are bars where you can get girls but they do not want you to know and other to know they are prostitute. You need to talk to them a bit and from there on its about them and you depends how they like you the first time can be free but after that they might ask you for some money. There are also girls on a website but most are ugly / old, even from former campo prostitutes that are charging 2 x or 3 x the price back and campo and in prostitution they are past their prime and most of these girls on that website are staying the pretty young ones are mostly unavailable or a local baller takes her off the street and makes her his girlfriend.

Posts: 852Yes good article thanks. If you're a local and live on the island, you probably know where these places are. But for tourists like us, Campo was the place. Please open Campo ASAP.

Posts: 852Gilmar 'Pik' Pisas, leader of the (MFK) has declared victory in recent elections
Hello, I am not an political expert but I think this is good news for the Campo. The election victory of the political party MFK and Gilmar Pisas, because Gilmar Pisas was in the past for opening the Campo but they did not want to discuss the Campo before the elections in March. From "Curacao Chronicle" Gilmar Pisas Hails MFK's Historic Election Victory as a 'Fantastic Result'.
MAIN.
By Correspondent March 24,2025.
WILLEMSTAD – Gilmar 'Pik' Pisas, leader of the Movementu Futuro Kòrsou (MFK), has declared his party's landslide victory in Curaçao's recent elections a "fantastic result. " Pisas explained how MFK achieved this historic milestone.
"We saw this coming," Pisas said confidently. "As ministers, we have done an excellent job. Since 2021, we have successfully rebranded, and people now have a different perception of our party. ".
One of the most surprising aspects of MFK's win was the strong support from the Dutch community on the island. "When you see how I was welcomed in Pietermaai, it was something incredible. Dutch voters have certainly contributed to our victory," he noted.
No Constitutional Referendum, Strong Ties with the Netherlands.
Pisas dismissed any notion of strained relations with the Netherlands, emphasizing that cooperation within the Kingdom remains productive. "We have no problems with the Netherlands whatsoever. We meet weekly to discuss and resolve issues. There will be no referendum on our constitutional status. The partnership within the Kingdom is working well and delivering results," he stated.
Responding to Criticism.
Opposition parties have accused MFK of having authoritarian tendencies, but Pisa firmly rejected these claims. "This is democracy in action. We listen to the people and work with all stakeholders. Look at the Lagun project—we collaborated with everyone involved to reach a broadly supported solution," he argued.
Stability and Economic Growth.
Looking ahead, Pisa promised a period of stability and continued economic development. "We will focus on further economic growth," he said. He also welcomed the upcoming visit of Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof in May. "he has nothing to worry about—I will be there to receive him," Pisas assured.
With a strong mandate, IMF intends to build on its momentum, prioritizing economic development and strengthening its collaboration within the Kingdom.

Posts: 669This is what's happening because the Curacao government isn't doing anything to reopen Campo. I betcha if they reopen Campo, cases of stds on the island will drop significantly. This is so obvious it's startling. Look at countries where prostitution is legal or semi-legal. Std's aren't really a thing to worry about. Places like Amsterdam, Singapore, etc. Come on Curacao, get your shit together! I want to visit Campo before I die.

Posts: 852Increase in Chlamydia Cases Reported
Increase in Chlamydia Cases Reported at Curaçao's Family Planning Clinic.
LOCAL.
By Correspondent March 7, 2025 "Curacao Chronicle".
WILLEMSTAD – The Family Planning Foundation (FFP) clinic has been diagnosing a high number of chlamydia cases, according to Tihaisa de Palm, the organization's public relations officer. Dr. Elger Jacobus, a general practitioner at the clinic, also confirmed the rise in infections but noted that exact figures are unavailable due to a lack of structured data collection.
Dr. Jacobus emphasized that Curaçao lacks a clear strategy and consistent education regarding sexually transmitted infections (STIs). One of the major concerns is the lack of oversight on sex workers since the closure of the Campo Alegre brothel. According to De Palm, many illegal sex workers are now operating in bars and snack bars (snèks), where regular health checks are no longer enforced. This increases the risk of spreading STIs.
Financial pressure is also a factor, as some women are reportedly agreeing to unprotected sex in exchange for higher payments.
Breaking the Taboo on Sexual Health.
De Palm pointed out that sexual health remains a taboo in Curaçao. FFP aims to break this stigma by expanding its team and facilities to provide more sexual education and awareness programs. She urged parents to have open and honest discussions with their children about safe sex and STI prevention.
Serious Health Risks of Untreated Chlamydia.
If left untreated, chlamydia can cause severe health complications. In women, it can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and infertility due to damage to the fallopian tubes. In men, the infection can spread to the testicles or prostate, causing painful inflammation. Other complications include urinary tract infections (UTIs) and joint inflammation.
FFP continues to advocate for better sexual health education and STI prevention measures to curb the rising infections on the island.

As usual they let some government entity or something like that do a study of what to do with the place. They refused to say what the final advice was because they said elections are on the way. I try hope for the best but am not very optimistic about it.
There's basically no use staying on this island anymore might as well move. The main benefit of campo was regulation and health checks it was safer compared to the unregulated workers. I remember how quickly after it closed doctors said that stds have gone up drastically.

Posts: 669I hope so too Adventurer9, I think at best I might have a few years left. Crossing my fingers it'll come back. I don't have too many regrets in life, and I've come to the point that I no longer need to think too far into the future anymore, cause there's not much future left. Just this one last thing in my bucket list. Campo Alegre.

Posts: 112I went few times to Campo and quality of girls was average each time. Environment and vibe was good. But I hear hottest ones were taken out TLN most nights, multiple nights at time, or staying in their room, waiting on regular clients to txt them.

Hottest girls I have seen were in st. Maarten but funny part is almost all the hottest ones were working at Campo already, some multiple times. I guess it had to do with timing and little bit of luck at campo.
