Posts: 21 week in the Philippines. Small question
Hi, experienced members.
I've read some threads about Philippines, but my question seems a bit different, indeed.
I plan to visit Philippines for 1st time this autumn (have a couple of business meetings in Manilla but managed to take 1 free week afterwards, probably strolling around Luzon & Cebu, hiking, enjoying beaches, the usual stuff). But visiting alone is not the funniest.
Do you think it would be possible to find 1 girlfriend for the week (some kind of GF, to share my activities during the days, and the bed sitting the night)?
I'm 41, Caucasian, good shape.
I have several months (and some free time) before going there to make contacts, but once in the phils I would prefer enjoying my trip rather than losing days 'chasing'. What would be the possibilities, if they exist?
I've read bad comments about seeking which initially appeared as the 'logical'*option, so what else? And is it better to start planning from now?
Thanks for advices.

For <30 day stays, all the countries mentioned have very easy visa processes. Just have everything ready a few days in advance in case of online crashed etc. VND has made expensive corrections to mistaken applications a new revenue stream so double check everything on your application. Reversing first / middle / lastnames is a common one.
You won't get bored in Thailand. Of your list, if you need or want to squeeze in Jakarta, I'd drop Vietnam. Having said that Vietnam has a lot more culturally than Jakarta but Jakarta has the girls. You pick your priority. Stay in Jakarta and skip Bali unless you like partying with drunken Aussies and $300 hoes. Another option, not on your list, would be Cambodia. It has both girls and sites to see
I normally recommend that Asia is not a place for planning everything to the nth degree but, in your case, a week or so isn't a long time in each new to you city so do your research and have a pretty good idea of what you want to do and see.
Sounds like a great holiday. G.

Excellent grand-tour; some dudes settle in one country without comparing it to the others, which I find strange.

Hello all. Planning my first trip to SEA. Trip will be 6-7 weeks. I am flying into MNL (yea, I know, but it's the only direct flight from US). I plan to stay a week in the phils, then fly to Vietnam for a week, then Thailand for a while, then back to the Phils for a week or two before returning home. Might consider flying to Jakarta for a few days if I get bored in Thailand, just becaue it seems to be popular with folks here. A couple of questions for those who have been around the block a few times:
- For the phils, I only need to complete ETDS a few days before and that is it, correct? There should be no problem with coming and going to other SEA nations, so long as I do not stay more than a total of 30 days in the phils combined? Or will the 'in and out' privileges require a ETDS every time, and possibly a visa of some sort?
- For Vietnam, I will have to apply for an e-visa. Are there any other hidden requirements I need to know about?
- For Thailand, I only need to complete the TDAC, and will get visa on entry for up to 60 days. Is this correct?
- For Indonesia, a visa on arrival is granted for short stays, correct? I will have onward tickets and accommodations ready for all of the above. Any feedback is appreciated.

Activating sodium chlorite with acetic acid produces chlorine dioxide (ClO2), a potent and useful oxidizing agent. This process involves the reaction of sodium chlorite with an acid, such as acetic acid, to generate chlorine dioxide gas. The reaction requires a combination of a base (organic acid like acetic acid) and an activator (sodium chlorite) to produce free chlorine dioxide. Chlorine dioxide is widely used in water treatment and as an antimicrobial agent in various applications, e.g. cleaning fruit/veg. It is effective across a broad pH range and has been shown to be more powerful than chlorine, with fewer harmful by-products when reacting with organics. When sodium chlorite is mixed with acetic acid, the solution should be prepared on-site due to the instability of chlorine dioxide. The reaction typically requires specific conditions, such as the appropriate concentration and pH level, to ensure the efficient production of chlorine dioxide. Organic acids like acetic acid can produce chlorine dioxide solutions that are less affected by peptone load and more stable than those produced with inorganic acids. This can enhance the antimicrobial efficacy of the chlorine dioxide generated.

In the 19th century, pure gum spirits of turpentine from pine trees were used as an effective cure-all; mentioned in the Merck manual of 1899, and used by native Americans.
Also look at chlorine dioxide / MMS / CDS / Jim Humble -- as a general, pathogen cleanse and detox aid. A German friend told me he used it to cure his drippy-dick (likely chlamydia) in Bangkok. Not pleasant to take but very safe. That was what Trump's, cryptic, Covid 'bleach remedy' reference of 2021 was about: a political parrot, squawking a few truths.

Posts: 240Alternatives to Grab for Online Ride Ordering
I recently had bad experiences with Grab cars being half-full of the drivers' junk, leaving little room for suitcases or passengers. Then booked a 6-seater and a small saloon car turned up. Later, the app actually booked a ride I was setting up for arrival, whilst on an inter-city bus approaching Manila -- without clicking on 'Standard Car' or 'Saver Car'. Likely caused by Internet glitches and the bumpy road, but it cost me P50 to cancel and Grab's subsequent customer service is a total ZERO!
Brave AI found the following alternatives to Grab. Would seasoned visitors stick with them, despite their faults, or use an alternative below? There are also several companies running white, supposedly-metered taxis, which can be ordered by phone.
Angkas: Known for providing motorcycle taxi services, Angkas is a popular choice for short distances and avoiding traffic congestion.
JoyRide: This app offers a range of transportation options including private cars and motorcycles, catering to various travel needs.
OWTO: Provides a variety of transportation services, including car rentals and private car services, making it a versatile option for travelers.
TokTok: TokTok is another ride-hailing app that offers both car and motorcycle services, providing flexible and affordable transportation options.
EPickMeUp: This app focuses on providing safe and reliable transportation services, with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
Go Lag: Go Lag is another option for ride-hailing services in the Philippines, offering both car and motorcycle rides.
These apps provide various transportation options to enhance urban transport in the Philippines, similar to what Grab offers.

Logging out of ISG today, this ad came up on the bottom of the page (first pic). Get your boner pills, get your Doxy / PREP.
Clicking on it took me to the boner sachets. Seven sachets, 100 MG each vitamin V, $15 USD ($2 per sachet). Not sure of delivery costs or time.
