Are people of Indian origin from US (with American Passport) treated differently? I just happen to be one. I have lived in United States all my adult life and I am in my mid 40's. I get where you are coming from as I know the mentality all too well. I have been itching to go to Bangkok and have been day dreaming of a vacation there. All day I talk about traveling to Bangkok and will talk to anyone who will listen, and even those that won't listen.

I will not be going in a group with lot of guys. Just me by myself and maybe another friend (maybe) who knows about my dalliances.

Sorry dude, but Thai people don't or can't make that distinction. Accents matter little to them. I've seen it where an Indian dude was stopped entering a Nana bar. The time I saw it, was one of the bars on the second floor. I never thought it real until I saw it with my own eyes, like dudes of all kinds were streaming in to the establishment and suddenly the bouncer just stopped the one Indian guy, nothing said, just stopped him and said he can't go in.

I've fucked Thai girls from here in the States, in Singapore's Geylang, and all over Bangkok, and I can tell you that most Thai people, especially the bargirls, don't really comprehend that a person's race can be different than their nationality. If you try to explain to them, for example that a Japanese person can be from Hawaii, or a Korean person can be from LA, or an Egyptian person can be from Australia, it just won't compute. To them you are Indian, so you must be from India. A typical Nana Plaza bouncer, will definitely just see you as an Indian. You can speak English with an American accent all you want, it won't make a lick of difference. Not saying that Thai's are racists, but a lot of them bar girls don't ever get the chance for a good education, not their fault really. Also, skin color really matters in Thailand, like literally. Thai girls be trying all kinds of skin whitening methods.

It's a weird south East Asian thing, kinda like the inverse of how white chicks all over the UK and the States are obsessed about tanning. Just goes to show you nobody's ever happy with themselves anywhere. Still though, I'd sell my soul to go back to Thailand.

You gotta look at it from their perspective. Imagine telling them that somewhere out there, exists Thai people that don't speak Thai. Holy cow, how will that ever make sense to them?

All that being said though, if you have the cash, then try the Pimp. The only thing they speak there is money. No caring about skin color there, the only thing that matters is green. You'll be treated like a king as long as you pony up.

I spent 10 days in the country back in August. Posted a detailed report on my trip here. Did 5 days in Pattaya and 5 in Bangkok. For background I am an early 30's white guy from NYC metro. Regarding your question about "brown" mongers, I will share my observations from my trip. Most of this pertains to Indian mongers, I'm not as sure how a black or African customer might be received.

In Pattaya Indian guys were stopped at the entrance to walking street gogo bars. I think most were not permitted to enter. I heard from some of these guys that bouncers apparently told them there was a 5 k baht entrance fee. I didn't have anything like this happen to me, just walked right into the gogo bars, no fee and no ID check. My hunch is that Indian guys will have an even harder time with P2 P in Pattaya than in Bangkok. The reason being that there are just a ton of Indians in Pattaya, and the girls / clubs tend to disfavor them as customers.

It's a similar story in Bangkok. I observed that near the entrance to nana plaza, many Indian guys would be stopped. Again, I had no issues and would just walk right into nana. But I saw other guys get stopped, questioned and they would have to show ID or maybe were even asked to pay an entrance fee. I did see a few Indian or "brown" guys inside the bars at Nana plaza. From speaking with the girls at Bangkok gogo bars, however, I had a few girls tell me that they will not get off the stage if an Indian guy buys them a drink.

Not trying to discourage or anyone or start any shit. Just my honest observations from the trip. I was surprised with how poorly Indian customers seemed to be treated by the bars / girls given how prevalent Indians are in Bangkok and Pattaya especially. Anyways, food for thought before you get on a plane and spend your time / money visiting Thailand.

In the States, I am a strip club goer. Generally prefer them over massage places. I like the vibe of naked girls dancing so I like these two in Soi Cowboy though not all get totally naked on stage. CH seems to be stricter than BB in that I saw a guy get reprimanded for reaching down between the legs when being given a lap dance at his seat. At BB I bought drinks for two fit, tattooed ladies and I had my hands all over them. Used to frequent Lords pre-Covid that was considered one of the higher end places with prices around 3 K-4 K if I'm not mistaken. Compared to the latter, I saw little difference to justify triple the price for the girls in the lineup. The girl I chose were pretty but if you tried a little you could pick someone similar in regular go-go's.

My memory says that Lord's Palace was about 6 K to 12 K in about 2017.

Finally, please do not justify racism, even if it is against your own kind. I try my best to dress / smell fine, greet the staff with palms joined and be as ideal a customer as I can be without throwing wads of cash around. I do NOT deserve the suspicious and disgusting looks. The only saving grace is the fact that there are still plenty of women in Thailand who do not care about the color of my skin.

It's not racism. It's just the way it is. I have friends running bars in India itself who complain about guys buying just one beer & holding onto it for hours just to mingle with the hip crowd. These are educated guys so imagine those from mofussil towns who've never been out of India suddenly landing up in Bangkok & Pattaya. I've been going to Thailand for more than two decades so I can see the marked difference in the quality of the Indian clientele since the visa free entry was instituted. Of course there are exceptions to the rule. Thai women don't discriminate on skin color, they discriminate on the attitude of the people of that skin color.

I will go to the high end places La Belle, Poseidon, etc. I have also read that the escort services are nothing special so I will avoid them.

According to Google, La Belle's 2nd last review: "closed permanently it has moved or associated about 1.3 km new name "Acqua."

Googling Poseidon and filtering for most recent reviews, it seems the place has lost its lustre. Multiple reports of people being pressured and rushed to finish up really quickly and not receiving the 90 mins as quoted and paid.

There's mentions of massage club "Black Caviar" which in their google reviews, someone posted a picture of the price list which is 7,700 -12,500 baht for 'Beautiful girl in luxury style' and then 16,500 up to a staggering 36,000 baht for 'Beautiful girl, supermodel style' (translated their menu) Latest review states 'no Thai bath service'.

Also mentions of "Marias Massage" with reviews and prices similar.

I guess as with everything YMMV according to any number of random things.

I was in Nana Plaza the day after the earthquake (Saturday). It was packed, hard to tell anything had happened.

My preference is mostly freelance from bars or TF, however on this occasion I did pay a visit to Secret Kiss, and can say had an awesome experience and highly recommend it. Attached is their menu. I only went for the 40 min BJ. Also tried Fantasy 8 which provide full service, nice place and lovely girls.

Mate of mine wanted to try Nancy, no longer a soapy, this is a super expensive place and very pushy sales reps.

Oscars wine bar is one of my hangouts and was shocked to hear the ladies asking for 10 k LT, goes without saying I didn't pursue. Anyone else experienced this?

Indians have always been known as the cultural leaders when it comes to partying. That's a playa mentality. There is a saying that goes "ain't no party like an Indian party, because a Piddy party ain't shit. " Take the Air Asia flight that made news several months ago when Punjabs were living it up on the flight to Thailand. In some of the videos circulating online, you can tell that the Thai air hostesses we're having a blast and probably enjoyed having secret photos taken of them from underneath their skirts. Maybe even got them dripping wet at that altitude. Word is that perhaps one of my fellow Indian buddies may have taken a Thai Air Asia flight attendant into the tiny bathroom to join the mile high club. Thai girls love these type of extroverts. Makes Thai girls horny. It means CONFIDENCE. A must have in Thai society. No need to hide behind drunkenness and 40 or more drinks. I would say they look down on those who have to go that route. Well this may be partly true. While people from isaan are always up for a party, people from the north, center, and South are generally more reserved and less likely to enjoy those types of festivities except on rare occasions.

NP and other MP's were closed only for the day when EQ happened and most likely because of traffic delays and train stoppage. Assuming ladies and wait staff were unable to make it in time for 7 pm opening. Earthquake happened around 1 pm.

It was a very normal morning the next day, as I flew out the next afternoon.

Luckily no major casualties in Thailand. Burma thought got hot really hard.

Suggest you add at least one more app to your smartphone: Google Translate. That will allow you to communicate with Thai ladies using either translated text or translated voice. It even has a camera function that will translate words on signs, menus, etc. It's not perfect but it works pretty good and will eliminate dealing with interpreters. It's indispensable when trying to make arrangements with the deaf freelancers on Soi 4 and other places.
