Pattaya is a city where there's something for everyone, no matter your style, your budget, or your attitude toward the game. Some guys like to buy lady drinks, some don't. Part of the sentiment that you're picking up on from complaining other posters is the fact that they don't like the idea of it changing eventually to an unrecognizable point. I've seen it happen in other places around the world and eventually it will happen to Thailand as well. Thailand and its seedy districts will eventually become fully commercialized and then cease from existence. Might be ten years, might take thirty years, but it'll happen. Thailand is by far above my favorite place on this earth. In fact, no other place even ranks a close second. And so when I see it changing and not for the good of us mongers, it irks me to no end. Western influence will eventually win and then all you will be able to do is come here and reminisce.

With the coming AI, advancements in technology, robotics, and so forth you can bet your bottom dollar Thailand is going to be impacted by some of this. And rather quickly. There will come a day when there is no more mongering at all.

The gatekepers and pocket watchers will never accept these facts, which is why I don't bother mentioning prices in any of my trip reports. Having mongered in multiple countries over the course of a decade, price isn't even the real problem.

I appreciate that Beach Rd / Soi-6 are open to negotiation but are there any such specific, 'pay-by-the-day' venues in Pattaya? Or would online be a better medium to posit such offers?

From my experience, short time on Soi 6 ranges from 1000 Baht to 2000 Baht plus the cost of the room. As for beach road, I have no experience, but I've read on the forum that it's around 1000 baht, some claim they've been able to pay 800 Baht and even as low as 500 Baht.

This is especially True of Soi 6. There are pretty faces but a lot come with not the best of bodies.

The reason I don't do Thai Friendly even if I did once meet a stunner there once long time ago, is that I prefer to see girls in real life.
