Anyone have any experience with the Somos brand, notably the Somos. Poblado?
Seems cheap and very modern, almost TGTBT.

Posts: 982Instead of AirBnb, use booking.com. They are headquartered in The Netherlands and seldom have the same anti-prostitution bullshit as the Yew Ess headquartered Airbnb. Plus you get to rate the property and they don't get to rate you. A lot less BS.

The AirBnb (and other) apartments that feature "self check-in" usually have camera observation and sometimes facial recognition. I stayed in one of these last year but I did not repeat. I'm in Medellin again now and staying in a place with a classic doorman. No chance to smuggle a chica in but there are always short-time motels.

Posts: 240AirBnb shows you monthly listings (month to month) if you search for a 30 day or more stay. Check off the feature for "self check-in" and you will find all the apartments that don't have some security checking IDs or limiting your entry.

Posts: 1887Are you talking about One Apartments in Laureles? If so, do they have the same noise issues as San Peter?

I alternate between to 3 places in. Laureles One does not have security, I've never seen a place that doesn't say no "Sex Tourism. " They have to say that for appearances sake. The last place I stayed that said that I was scared until I arrived and the front desk guy was smiling like a Cheshire Cat. I put some money in his pocket and took care of business.

Posts: 1158I have a problem finding apartments that meet what I want. I want to stay in Laureles, 2 bedrooms, two baths, $1,000 (USD) or less for a month. There's one agency that meets all of those, but their guest policy is asinine. Every guest must be registered at check-in. I've also found others that have various limitations, from no sex tourism to no guests at all. Because of the hassle of finding an apartment, I would like to find an unfurnished apartment to rent for a year, and buy my own furnishings. I figure after a year or so, I would be ahead because I usually spent five months a year there. So far, I haven't found one I like.

Posts: 2113This is highly unlikely to be Wake. Wake has strict no visitor policy. No exceptions made. Speaking from experience.

You said you almost always stay at Haven. Their PH suites and Presidential suites I believe are 4 bedrooms each. I know for sure that they have two and three bedroom suites. All with Jacuzzis.
