I would like to know if other board members had similar success with mamasans. I always felt that most girls are hiding any possible BB practice from their peers and their mamasans. This is why I never even bothered to ask a mamasan.

I have known a few mamasans in Bangkok gogo bars over the years who have provided the type of BBFSCIP matchmaking service described by HorseTrader. Not just BBFSCIP but for DFK, BBBJ, DATY and BBFSCIP. Or even BBBJCIM+Swallow.

But don't expect every mamasan in every gogo bar to be that good at their job. Most don't put in the effort to know anything so useful about their girls. The rare good ones are worth their weight in gold. Yet a mere 100 -200 baht tip and / or a drink, if they are so inclined, is enough to get them involved. Talking about the good and useful ones.

The challenge is to overcome any shyness or reticence about introducing yourself to the mamasan of a bar, asking her name, inviting her to sit for a drink and tell her what it takes to move you to pay the barfine for a girl, pay her the going rate or sometimes a tad more (paying the girl afterwards, never before, of course) and be even more inclined to return as a frequent customer and 100-200 baht tipper to that mamasan.

Bear in mind, most mamasans are a waste of time in this regard, particularly when it comes to which girls are likely to agree to BBFSCIP. But the rare useful mamasan is who you are looking for.

You find them by telling them what you want and waiting for their response. If they genuinely recoil in horror by the question, they are in the wrong business.

The most interesting thing I learned about Thai gogo girls and maybe it applies to most Thai P4 P girls is that all it takes for a lousy, do nothing, starfish and "no" to practically everything like DFK and BBBJ and certainly BBFSCIP or BBBJCIM+Swallow supposedly too shy, too inexperienced, too culturally-resistant to such things hooker into the sweet-as-pie, most accommodating, agreeable and participatory to everything Real GFE hooker is a simple instruction from a knowledgeable mamasan to "Treat him well. After many years break, I had a 4 day stopver in BKK and did stay in the well proven Nana Hotel. Still the same since 30 years.

FL's streetwalkers asking for 3000ST --what a bullok! And guys do pay it. OMG.

Thanks for this, and this does tend to be my energy if there are shenanigans back home. I will play hardball. I guess here there is a sense of limited time and opportunity so settling a bit. I might give this a try once to see how it goes. It does really piss me off that they agree then back out, but as a stranger in a strange land, I guess I am feeling a little less assertive.

I definitely think strategic (for want of a better word) tipping does reap rewards. I do the same with mamasans in gogo bars. Try it, guys. In every bar with a mamasan you go to. Helping the customers connect with the girls in their lineup who would be willing and eager to deliver what that customer wants is or sure as hell should be the job of the mamasan, the reason they work there as mamasans instead of simply being a much older and fatter LadyDrink hustler in street clothes.

If they balk at doing their job in that way or hand you some blithering nonsense for not earning their pay with "I don't know. Up to the girl", ignore them, never tip them and, better yet, just walk out and go to another bar where a mamasan earns her pay. Duh. Of course it is "up to the girl", mama. We all know that. The concept is the mamasan is supposed to know which of her girls are known to provide one thing or another and which ones are known to do very little. And the mamasans will know these things about their girls.

And the added value of going about it this way through a mamasan who might have only been tipped 100-200 baht for the effort is the testimonial from a mamasan to her girls that "this is a good customer, he is not a scammer, he will pay you what he agrees to pay you and give you a tip if you make him happy so make him happy" carries much, much, much more weight coming from their mamasan than anything you as a foreign customer merely hoping you will be treated well in the room could ever carry with a hundred assurances over a couple of Lady Drinks.

A fellow punter posts a FR about a provider at a well known Happy Ending Massage Shop happily delivering the worst service he has ever experienced as though most of her previous customers had been handing her an extra 500-1000 baht tip for that kind of treatment. Which they probably had been doing just out of habit without really giving much thought to how that habitual behavior lowers the quality and value of a P4 P destination over time.
