I have an MBA and have hardly ever heard someone say advanced degree. The more common term would be graduate degree or post-graduate degree.

When I went to orientation the dean posed the question of why everyone was there. People tried to give answers they expected he wanted to hear. He finally said bullshit. MBA stands for More Bank Account. If you are here for anything else besides to make more money, then you are here for the wrong reason.

The obnoxious, loud gringos at the bench in Veracruz are disliked and derided by locals, girls and police. Before they came about five years ago, gringos were well-liked in general. My buddy who talked to them told me that they are retired / fired plumbers, janitors, restaurant workers, etc. Several locals are angry with the guy with sunglasses. Some of these guys have been arrested. I see other foreigners are avoiding them.
