Neddy, are you sure of it? I just don't see that happening. They prefer the curvy, mixed black girls of DRP, Columbia, Panama, and Brazil with nyash. And those countries are right in their backyard. Malagasy has its own problems for example all parts for repairing car or motorbike are in French but its way more effective in general any time.

Maybe if you only seek out the more expensive segments of the market and or only stay in the city center youll be fine speaking french and French only. But what for? The snail eating expats mostly full time alcoholics anyways won't accept you unless you are one of them. Local gasy who learned French mostly did it with the motivation to leech off said speakers. Especially the prosies where BTW you won't have good access to the cheapest of skanks if you're into those LOL.

Malagasy as for the merina accent is underrated among this and other forums IMO. You can go to provinces and people will understand you but their answer with a different accent may be hard to understand. And if you make it to ambanivohitra youll be gucci. I've only ever visited Goringosa Beira and Maputo. Maputo super easy and cheap. Go to the main beach down town and visit the food market stalls. Amazing food and you will get approached. I was planning to dedicate an entire travel day for each change, as I hear that flights are unreliable. Tana does not interest me. I would fly into Tana, then leave the next day. At least for the prices I have seen, money will not be an issue.

I am a fairly experienced punter. Not decades and decades, but I've travelled and seen plenty, including all the major punting hotspots around the world. Madagascar is one of the last places on my bucket list, and a first in Africa. I like point and shoot, without having to be worry about getting scammed, squeezed, or drugged. I have no desire to hunt the streets looking for hidden gems, or LTR. I suspect that Taxi Be is for me.

I have generally avoided punting in Africa, though I have always been intrigued by Madagascar because of the reportedly much lower STD rates, and the exotic look of African with a bit of Asian. And I like slim with a pretty face. Great tits are appreciated but not required. NO thick booties.

Cheap prices and Nosy Be will die quickly just like Pattaya, with influx of tourists the doom is near. There is a reason the girls are asking those prices, someone is paying. I agree with you observation about Nosy Be: call it in future NosyPattaya. All this newcomers, not interested in the country, language and culture at all but only in a cheap fuck (and for the Pattaya and Angeles clients: a fuck below 50 $ is cheap for them) are pushing up prices by lowering performance. After last night's run in with aggressive scammers I decided to take it easy and not actively seek out any female company. Nosy was good 10 years ago, back then you never negotiated price. Last time I was there 30 short and 50 all night was accepted without issues. Now with inflation 40/60 should be correct. The performance and attitude of girls goes the opposite direction of prices. There is absolutely zero correlation between price and performance.

Once the gossip goes between the girls how much someone got paid what do you think they have in their mind when they are servicing you for 40 when the last customer payed 160? The closer you get to European summer holidays the greedier they get. But greed is actually the wrong word as everyone want as much as they can get right?

Last time I stayed 2 weeks and was not sorry about leaving. My 2 cents I think you handled the 2 scam girls about as well as you could. Kept your cool and involved the guard who has seen it all and knows the price the girls are asking for is BS. They obviously knew as well since they did not want his involvement. "massage" has always been code for sex in Mada, like many other places. What's new is it was always assumed and there was none of this separate massage and sex difference and paying for each separately. This is a big red flag for our hobby. Not a good sign at all. I did not always negotiate for girls services but it seems like one would be wise to do so now to avoid any drama.

In general your 20 K for ST seems to be becoming a thing of the past and I have no doubt NB is becoming more and more fucked up. Look below at Pokeris' post. He gets around and is known for not trying to overpay so his numbers are probably a good guide. For me this is just another reason to avoid a place I have never really liked.

Based on advice in various postings I've read over the years a big benefit of a hotel with Security holding girls ID'S prior to entry as compared to a DIY apartment or AirBnb booking with no entry security is in situations like this. If I had been staying by myself in an Apartment I would have had no additional support and things could have escalated way worse. So I was feeling very fortunate for having gone the hotel with Security route, and grateful for the accuracy and benefit of the advice on the forum.

Taxi from airport is 80 k but you can negotiate for 60 k like me done 3 days ago. You can't get anymore any better looking girls here for 20 k. Thanks Pokeris for your response and for confirming what I have suspected that prices here at Nosy Be have gone up. I will up my baseline bid to 40 K and go a bit higher from there if necessary. Continuing to shoot for 20 K would be a recipe for frustration on my part and unnecessary spoiling of the mood with a girl I like. My suggestion is for you never ask how much they want if you don't want silly answer. (As they understand you don't know going rates) offer 40 k for short time if she not agree offer 50 k if its a beautiful young girl without kids most will agree but even for 50 can get sometimes refuse! For all night 70 k should be fine but nowadays not many girls want stay for longer also somehow they prefer short time.
