You answered you own question with the message from the hotel, so cancel your reservation. According to sources on the Internet, local politicians are trying to change the type of individuals who frequent the area and the authorities are putting pressure on places that provide lodging to stop having "guest friendly" arrangements. Apparently Naka Stay + Work complied with the demand. This phenomenon happens many places. Good luck finding other "guest friendly" lodging in the area.

What are the hours for El Centro and\or Parque Lleras?

I've picked up as late as 2 am at Parque Lleras easily, and I've heard that it's open for business as late as 4 am, what time does it "open"? If I wanted something early morning or a lunch snack, how easy would it be?

El Centro becomes dangerous after 10 pm for Gringos and I'd recommend leaving earlier, but how early would strolling be possible? Morning stroll? Lunch Stroll?

I used to go as early as 10 am to Centro. It gets better by noon with more girls arriving each hour and peaks around 4 pm - 6 pm and by 8 pm it's mostly ugly old hags and druggies and all the shops and restaurants mostly close up by then too.

I've seen girls in Lleras as early as 10 AM on a Sunday. Super cute girl in a schoolgirl type outfit. At first I wasn't sure she was selling, but then she gave me the "hand wave" gesture, where they basically are waving at you to come over and talk to them and after a little chat, I realized oh yes, she was available. Sadly, I decided to see what else was available and when I went back, not there anymore.

In terms of "best hours", the spot I sit in front of Lleras Town, you start to see the cars arriving with more and more girls basically after sundown. So like 6 PM and later, with the busiest time being between 10 PM and probably 2 AM when some of the bars and clubs start shutting down. Even still at 3 AM there were a LOT of chicas out and about, so as with all things. It depends.

For el centro / Plaza Botero, there are girls out at 9 AM on a Monday, no worries. Catching people on their way to work. Not a huge selection, but not bad either. I like it for a 2-5 PM stint because I can roll over, sit at a table in the shaded areas, drink a cold beer and scope the selection, maybe make a lap or two around the block behind the church, see what's available. Usually there's something to choose from, but not always. This past trip quality and quantity were down on previous visits. The latest I've been out in Botero is 10 PM and truly, there was nothing much going on at that time. Even the little strip clubs down the street from Hotel Nutibara were the-e-the DEAD. So yeah, maybe stay in Botero no later than 7-8 PM is a good move. By that point Lleras will be starting to get lively and I'd head over there.

If you are a US citizen or permanent resident and you travel outside the country to have sex, you could get in trouble with the law. This is against federal law, specifically 18 USA Code 2423 and the PROTECT Act. 18 USA Code 2423 says that it is illegal to take minors across state lines or to another country for sex or any other sexual activity that is against the law. The PROTECT Act makes it easier for the US government to punish people who commit crimes related to sex tourism. This could mean going to jail for up to 30 years for doing something wrong in another country.

What business does the CIA, FBI, etc. , have talking to Mongers in Medellin. Not that I believe they are interested in the first place, but lets say they are. Why would we be concerned? Honestly, I don't prefer plastic / enhanced girls at all, and with the supposedly high prices of La Isla, I've just never found a reason to go. It does sound like it could be a good time though, maybe just to check that box off my to-do list.

What was the cover charge and did they require you to buy a drink / bottle? What was the minimum in "consumo", if there was one?

The cover at la Isla is 50 k, girls are 600 k and a beer 40 k. There was a time, about a year ago I think when they wanted you to buy a whole table and they wouldn't even let you sit down when you were alone, sipping your beer. Luckily they changed that policy, although when you sit down at an empty table they might ask you to leave of course when they need the table for a group paying for it.

I'm sure La Isla is not for everybody, it has some downsides, mostly that it's expensive (cover, drinks, tipping the girls for lap dances and of course the 600 k room, it quickly adds up) and if you like natural, this might not be the perfect spot, since there are a lot of enhanced bodies here (which I happen to love) But the great thing here is that you can get a pretty good idea of the girl's 'energy' before taking her to the room because it's of course a strip club and they give lap dances (not all of them do though). For example I think it was last Thursday when I had my eyes set on a really hot one but when she 'danced' for me, she mostly even just stood in front of me, instead of riding me, no way that that's going to be any good in bed. Or when a chica is riding you but just seems robotic, or not even looking at your eyes, anyway, you know. I think that's why I almost always have had good service there, cause it's pretty easy to weed out the bad ones.

And if you go Thursday / Friday, you're pretty sure that you'll find a hot one (again, IF you're into plastic, natural might be a bit harder).

Don't go before 10 PM, the club is dead. Best to arrive between 11 PM and 12 PM, best on Thursday's and Friday's, highest amount of hot chica's.

I went to la Isla 2 months ago, I'm not into enhancements and like skinny / smaller girls. I didn't match with the club that much, found one chick I was really into but she wanted 600 k for an hour. Before she quoted another guy 1 mil (guess she didn't like him). I'm Cali I was getting these quality chicks for 150 k.

Add in the drinks and entry to the club and you might as well stay home.

I'm with you. Not a plastic fan. Like natural bodies few tattoos and athletic or slim. The breast implants in Colombia with the complete round coconut / ballon looking, fake ass, fake lips, I can't get into it. But it's all good, I fully understand a large / decent percentage of men love this look. It's actually great that not all men are into the same type of women. That would be way worse.

Haven Hotel was pretty great. The rooftop bar and pool is kinda small, but they have parties every Friday and Saturday night with DJ, and pool party on Sundays, and it attracts a lot of native Colombian women. It also attracts alot of foreigners not even staying there, but who come specifically for the vibe. It's a great place to meet a lot of cool people and build connections. But as others have mentioned, stay true to your safe space. Don't venture out with others until you actually know / trust them. It's better to stay safe in your bubble then to venture out care free with people you have just met.

Fortunately, by staying close to my comfort zone, not dropping my guard, I never felt unsafe one time. Again, I've said it before, but I also have a good deal of street smarts, and if you don't have that naturally, you're going to need to be cautious, bc for naive people you can easily be taken advantage of.

Colombia was fun. Definitely could see myself going back. Met a girl with a legit Visa who is coming to visit next month. No problems with safety, but met plenty of people who said they had been drugged or know others who had. The one thing they seemed to have in common was hard core drinking and drugs. Also, they liked trashy women. I think there is something to the advice of avoiding overly tattooed trashy looking women to stay safe. I didn't realize how cheap everything actually is in Colombia until I looked at my credit card receipts back home. Ubers are ridiculously cheap. And a nice meal at a high end restaurant for two, with drinks, was only like $36 to $40 usd. At the time I thought I was spending at least $50 or $60 usd. Weird when you actually are spending less than you even expect. Conversion rates seemed to favor USD at this time. My only regret is there are a couple of women I could have met up with and just didn't coordinate well enough and looking back at some of the photos they sent I've got some remorse.

Probably will be back at some point. I just hope the conversations on this board have evolved by that time. Like 5 to 6 days straight of panties talk? At least move that discussion to Stupid Shit in Medellin at this point, or the Chit Chat forum.

Oh, and maybe gringo tax, but any massage place discussed on this forum was at least 2 x quoted price for me when I showed up in person. I did not partake.

I've been 3 days in row to la isla, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The first 2 days were actually quite amazing. Just like you I have very high standards and just like you I love plastic. I swear, Thursday and Friday there were so many hotties I'd do, I honestly lost count, there must have been over 15. Which even kinda gave me FOMO haha, after shooting my load I'm done for the night so I was worried I might choose the wrong girl. But both Thursday and Friday I had mind blowing sex with 2 really sexy chica's. Saturday was different though, the club was dead until about 1 AM when it started filling a bit up but nowhere as many girls as on the previous 2 days. And I had trouble finding even 3 girls I'd do.
