Just a little information after my first day in SP that may be helpful to other newbies.

At the airport (GRU), if you want a secure taxi and don't have an Uber app or a prearranged pickup from the hotel, use the secure taxi stand on the right as you exit the departure door. You walk about 50 yards to an outside kiosk with a few friendly ladies there. You pay a lady at the kiosk if you are paying by credit card, or pay cash directly to the driver. They print out a receipt for you, and a paper to give the driver. The address is on there with the exact price. I don't know if I'd save much by calling an Uber or taxi through the Uber app, but I like to feel as secure as possible when I'm traveling to and from an airport with all my stuff with me. It was about R34 to Vila Mariana near the SE end of Paulista Avenue.

I went to two different casa de cambios on Paulista Avenue today, and they were both offering to buy my $100 bills for 5. 25. The official exchange today was 5. 7. I declined and decided to go to a Bradesco bank (recommended on here as one of the best banks for ATM) to use my Charles Schwab Debit card. Couldn't believe it. They said R4. 94 per dollar exchange rate. In most countries I've traveled to, the ATM rate is the best you can find and very near the official exchange rate.

I went to have lunch at a restaurant my friend recommended in Republica. The waiter was a great guy who spoke English. Toward the end of my meal I mentioned the exchange rate problems I was having, and he told me about a place around the corner that gave him R5. 6 for his dollars the other day. I went to the place he told me, and I never would have found it on my own. It's in a little mall area that's very quiet. It is a small travel agency office that doesn't look like they do much travel business. I walked in and nobody was there. A guy in a back room made some noise since he probably saw me come in on a camera. I walked back and there's this friendly looking fat guy behind a security window. I asked if he could change dollars to Reals. He put 5. 6 in his calculator. I gave him ten $100 bills, and he gave me R5,600. His card says Grupo Moema Interpax, Praca the Republica, 177, Loja 13, Republica, SP.

I was referring to $1000 USD. Not in the sense that you must spend that much in Scandallo but just in terms of your financial situation and general mindset towards money as a result.

You can definitely go to Scandallo, have a few beers, try to keep your tab low and take one girl and get out for $300 USD. And you will probably conclude it was interesting but over priced. This is because $300 is a lot of money to some people.

But if $1000 USD is not a lot of money to you, you can go and get $120 bottle of gin and a table and take two or three girls to the room over a period of several hours. Maybe smoke a $50 cigar. And close out the night at $800.

For the second guy, he will love Scandallo because he wasn't thinking about saving money and the price per fuck. He was just enjoying being king of the world.

So it was just a reference to say how you feel about Scandallo totally depends on your monetary position. If $1000 USD is a lot of money then you will probably conclude it’s not worth it. And if u have plenty of cash then its a blast. It's all about perspective.

As far as Scandallo goes, if $1000 is a lot of money to you then it's probably not for you. You will find it a "bad value". But if $1000 is neither here nor there for you then its hard to suggest a more fun place on planet earth IMO.

Hotel itself is not a 4-start, but solid 3+. Very quiet, no any construction around.

Breakfast is good, with some guy making custom omelets and pancakes.

Not sure about "guests friendly", but looks like it should be OK, especially if 2 guests are registered.

Location is very nice, just 17 minutes drive to Scandallo, and 10 minutes to Casarao.

There are a lots of restaurants, shops, and supermarkets around.

There is a currency exchange next block, and self-service laundry in 10 minutes walk.

Situation with wifi a little bit strange. I think it is the same for almost all 3-4 stars hotels in SP.

When I measure speed by Ookla website to some local SP servers, it gives me 60/80 MB.

But, if I change destination server to Spectrum NY, it drops to 2-3 MB download and 5 upload.

When I connect it trough my travel router with VPN to Brazil, it gives me 5-6 MB to NYC destination.

I think this is why half people leave a review, that wifi is good, and another half, that it is not possible to work remotely.

Seems, there is a weak link between connection from wifi provider and other countries.

Some rooms can be rented on Airbnb and looking into available wifi networks, seems many of them have private connection.

It is better, and give me 6 MB download and 15 upload to NY servers.

Just returned from Scandallo. Everything was fine. For some reason, half of males in the club where Chinese.

On Saturday, it was 70 percent.

Casarao is a late night club. But to me, 2 AM Sunday night (Monday morning) was indistinguishable from any other day. Packed. Monday might be lighter because other clubs are open but surely plenty of hot talent.

I met Socrates for a few drinks on a Monday daytime at Scan and yeah prob only 30 girls. But plenty of fine options. No issue.

I usually get to Casarao early. Between 1030 pm to 11 pm.

Sit and have a drink, watch them all come in.

I usually find an early girl I like, relax with her a bit, then have the rest of the night to find number 2.

As you know, the place can get very crowded with dudes after 1 am.

I'm usually out by 2 am to 3 am the latest.

I read her positive reviews on GP before contacting and was not disappointed with her attitude and service. Her body is exactly like her pics but her ad that time hid / blurred the face. She responded promptly to me in a friendly yet professional way detailing her service and cost 1 k / HR to come to my hotel or 600 for me to visit her. She asked for 100 pix / advance to come to my hotel and sent me instructions on how to send it knowing I am not local. I wanted to try this so I went with it. She was 30 minutes late due to traffic and sent me her Watsapp location for me to track. I was in the lobby and I see in WhatsApp that she's arrived, a a gorgeous girl dressed in a mini dress walks in gives me a glance and walks towards the elevator. I am thinking damn I am lucky and follow her only to find out that she's not the one. LOL because she just went past the elevator and into the restaurant while on the phone with someone. Based on my experience and many reports here and on GP I agree it's not worth booking through these sites. Bait and switch possibility and price is high while there a lots of day and night time venues to pick from the selection. My session with Ana Lu was great even with a slight disappointment in appearance in the beginning.

Pictures don't match the girl

Tried this once, even had her send additional images to confirm, wasn't ready when I arrived, went to the cafe across the street for espresso. Received continuous texts over an hour apologizing but assumed it was a lost cause. Received a text to come up as I finished my second coffee. I will be in So Paulo next week from Monday to Friday. This is my second visit. I was in SP last year in Sept and had a great time. I stayed at Renaissance and visited Bomboa two nights and Scandallo two nights. Bomboa got busier earlier in the night than scandalo. I also visited Taj Mahal which was mediocre. I also did an outcall with Ana Lu from club model which was fantastic. I wrote a long report after my visit but my session timed out and then I never got back to posting the report.

Next week I will be in SP from Monday to Friday and will be staying at Marrio exec appts. Would love to meet you if you are in SP and available. This time I am going to try Palms, lotus, Bomboa and Scandallo (thanks SocratesNY) Any recommendations for Monday night? I hear Mondays suck from the reports but any pointers where to go? Casarao?
