I'll repeat here again that in Japan a shop like TAE or Gingira is booked 100% in English through LINE / Wechat. Booking works differently for other shops like TAE and Gingira where you can add the shop's LINE account and directly go through them. I highly recommend that, English only is fine. An important difference with Gingira is they asked me to pay the driver, just like a previous review mentioned. Just outside my hotel her driver stepped out of the car to collect and count it. This was toftt for me so I did it, and then I saw the girl that stepped out and forgot about all that.

This thread isn't ideal for questions, but it's a very good question I did not cover. To sum up my experience this trip, I went to lunch with one JAV star and also a 'before shop' dinner with another girl. I also asked various shops about their 'take out' rules for next time. Shinjuku has the most and best oppai pubs. Translated "breast club", it is typically all-you-can-drink where girls come and sit and chat with you. I have gone to Leicester about 10 times since they are a newer club (opened June 2024), and the breakdown was 10% S-Tier, 40% A-Tier, 30% B-Tier, 20% C-Tier, Zero D-Tier over 10 visits. It is probably why I can get two S-Tier girls in a row at Hosekinobako, but not at Leicester. Slow - I got hints not to go to this club (teeth sucking and "are you sure"), but they are 100% foreigner friendly.

There is such a drop in girl quality between the clubs. The average girl at Hosekinobako is hotter than the very hottest girl I've seen at Luxe, Super Angel, or Flamingo. Hosekinobako averages borderline A-Tier / B-Tier, with there being more S-Tier girls (20%) than C-Tier girls (10%).

Be kind, they're women and best to warm them up first. Use your calm charm, make them feel safe first and introduce yourself. They straddle facing you so when they go topless it's mainly for you. You can have them face away but they must put back their tops. Don't touch their privates.

You get 40 minutes and 3 girls, if there's a delay don't worry it doesn't count. You get 3 girls so let's say on average you don't like 1. Just let it go. Don't go if you don't like Japanese girls. Girl's drinks start at 2400 yen ($17) and are optional. A majority of locals don't buy them unless they find a girl they like. The business model is if you find a girl you like, you can keep her for the rest of your 40 minutes for a small fee (about 2000 yen or $14). Or if you extend for another 40 minutes. The extension rate is higher than the original entry fee, sometimes 10k ($70). I sometimes do this, but beginners can just leave or go to another oppai pub for another promo rate. Some girls might ask you to buy another drink if you extend, it's up to you. In any case, unless you pick a girl they will keep rotating girls, usually a 1-3 minute break between girls. The 40 minute timer does not start until you get your first girl, no matter how long the wait.

Since it is just breast play and kissing, the girls are generally young and attractive. All are conventionally attractive, a few are very beautiful. Most are varying degrees of skinny. It is not something you think about much, but girls in their 20's have much nicer skin and much better feeling natural breasts. No contest.

At Luxe, most of the staff speak perfect English. Some obviously lived in the US and it is explicitly a foreigner-friendly club. First time orientation
All clubs have some variation of 'new customer orientation'. Obviously Luxe is easy since they speak perfect English. I'll describe the Lester routine. First there is a rule explanation at door of what you can and can't do. You can kiss her lips, boobs, anywhere waist and above. Don't touch her privates, you can touch her legs. Everything else is common sense. They explain the costs to enter, to keep a girl, to buy a girl's drink, and extension. A bit overwhelming the first time but if you know it, it's similar at each club.

Hosekinobako (#1 by my grading) - If you arrive a few hours after opening, it should have many girls and customers. You can look left and right and scan what the other girls look like. 90% of the girls are good looking (S through B), 10% were C who were decent. Not a single girl who was just average even. The problem is, so few people go and review Hosekinobako because you either need to speak 2 years of Japanese or go with a friend. At Shibuya Galaxy, I ranked the 8 girls as: S-, A+, A+, B, B, B, C, C = B+ average. ATMs versus Japan new bills 2024
Japan switched over to new bills in 2024. As a result, many ATM machines were replaced. Many ATMs only give out 10k bills ($69) now when previously they could give any amount. It means at a 138 exchange rate your $500 limit might really be a 60k limit since you can't make it to 70k. Most importantly, every 711 ATM used to be international, but this trip I could not use them. I could use the Family Mart ATMs instead, which had 'international' labeled. See attached images for an example ATM. Also, the ATMs now had their own 50k limit regardless of your bank (you can do 2 transactions though). Not all ATMs are like this, but the switchover caused it to be common.

ATM, cash, cash exchange
An ATM will ask you three options: Credit, Checking, Saving. With my bank card, I always want to pick Checking (Savings does not work for me). If I use a credit card for a cash advance, I select Credit. It is up to your financial institution but my limit was 60k for bank, 30k for credit cash advance. Resets after 24 hours. Make sure if you need Credit that you have your PIN set, many credit cards will not allow you to set it online for safety reasons (they will mail you a PIN, then you can use that to set your new PIN).

For large sums like $5K, I would simply bring that cash and convert it at the airport right after exiting customs. Narita and Haneda have an exchange just outside customs and it is the best rate in the country. It is actually better than an ATM after fees. Note that online currency exchange rates always publish the 'mid' rate which nobody actually gets. The Buy/Sell rate is +/- 2.5% typically, and the Japanese airport exchange will give you exactly that which is unusual. The US airport will not!

For example if the mid rate is 142, then the Buy Yen rate will be 138.5. You will not get this rate once you leave the airport. The airport exchange overhead is 2.5%, an ATM for me was 3.5% (due to fees), and Travelex outside the airport was 5%. It is not too much a difference. You can bring about $7K cash into Japan without declaring it (it is legal to bring more, you just have to declare it at customs). There are pros and cons. Credit card works perfectly well at many places in Japan, but not all. And for any adult service, there is usually a special 10% extra fee for cc usage.

Cash advance works different than a regular credit card transaction. Interest accrues immediately, so just pay it off a week later and it's not much. It is convenient. Do not forget to pay off your whole balance! Otherwise your payment might go towards regular CC purchases instead of the cash advance, which will accrue interest. A few days of interest is nothing - they are making money off of people who don't quickly pay off their balance.

Keep in mind the price goes UP as the night gets late. 10pm or later there's a chance the club is full. If you show up "too early" like 6pm or 8pm, some shops are not open. Currently, Hosekinobako opens 5pm and Leicester opens 7pm. Then other clubs open 8pm or 9pm.

Sometimes when you show up, they will apologize that you need to wait 10-40 minutes. You will get free beer, maybe snacks. I've had this happen occasionally, but I'd rather be "too early" than "too late". Note that in this case, it does NOT count towards your 40 minutes of fun. They will remind you of this, but in case you don't understand don't worry. Relax and don't worry, lots of girls show up later. I can only speak for myself, but I wear a watch and they have always given me 40 minutes. I'm sure mistakes can happen, but it isn't common in Japan. If your hotel is not in Shinjuku beware many train lines start closing from 12pm-1am depending on how far you need. It's almost luck if your train still operates or not, when my hotel was 40 minutes away the very last train was 11:30pm since I needed to connect to a 12:05am train.

If you can speak Japanese (maybe 2 years level), you can bar hop between Leicester and Hosekinobako for their "first timer" discount. It was 6000 yen happy hour (8 pm on certain days) or 8000 yen prime hour (10 pm most days). 5pm is ideal for Hosekinobako, 7pm for Leicester, 8pm-9pm it starts getting busy at multiple clubs. 10 pm and later you sometimes might not be able to enter due to crowds (but another club will not be full). Use Manzoku to enter!

Note that one American who can't speak Japanese got into Leicester and Hosekinobako just by showing his receipt from before. That's because both clubs will let you go with a Japanese speaking friend, then you are allowed to repeat on your own if you can prove that you went already. I once saw a group of 5 white Americans with 1 Asian guy who spoke a bit of Japanese, that's all you need.

I just go to Manzoku and speak with the staff briefly, they can see I can speak no problem. So they call the shop saying "I have a Japanese speaking foreigner can he go in?" My race is not important - my speaking ability and willingness to comply with common sense rules is what matters.

About other options, if a guy is in Japan long-term, the end game is DH. But beginners or guys who are just in town a few days will want to check out Kabukicho for some unique samplings. I only go Kabukicho for oppai pubs (#1 spot for them), hostess clubs (not my thing but just for curiosity), and other weird shops. For just straight up sex you can use DH (future guides will follow) or if a first-timer, go KiraKira soapland and see if it's your thing. The reason I recommend Kira Kira is the average service is good and it's cheap with no negotiation. The current rate is 31000 for 70 minutes which is $204 USD. For the high service, it's good value.

If you are in Osaka, try out Tobita. Certain places we mention here have high success rates for foreigners, there is also the yoasobi portal for legit foreigner friendly shops. It is going to be hit and miss to wander the streets and find a place, since that will be a mix of legit shops and weak shops. There is a big gap between the best shops in Japan vs the weaker shops, and the best shops are often cheaper anyways.

As many have noticed, actual Japanese girls are superior to non-Japanese girls in Japan. Non-Japanese girls are often for tourist traps and bottom of the barrel places that touts lead you to. It is always better to research a place and go to a place several other guys have succeeded at. Yes. The Manzoku I put on google maps happens to be central and large (more staff, lots of posters to look at). But I did drop by the 2nd Manzoku next to Super Angel a different day. They can take you to any shop they know about, even if they don't have a poster up for them.
