I'm just wondering if anyone is brave enough to still go to Sosua. People always tried to lie and say chicas is secondary to them visiting. What made them continue to visit was the brotherhood that they have a team of repeats so they don't care that all the chicks on the strip are trash or in this case gone. It will be interesting to see where those Sosua mongers go. Will most simply go to Colombia or will they go to say Pattaya that place get a lot of social media attention and when I lived there I saw a bunch of ex Sosua guys.

To me as a visitor not an expat it seems like paradise.

Traditonal window shoppers might not like it but there's the Clock Tower in Cartagena and Beach Road in Thailand if you need to see things.

I just got back from five days over the weekend, which I had booked long before the latest changes. I managed to pull from the bars or street each night but Sunday. I'm pretty picky and like them thin, I didn't have to lower my standards. I paid 3,000 pesos, 3000,4000, and 5000 (twice). (that's from $50 to $85 US). Prices generally corresponded with the level of service -- first time I've been rimmed in Sosua! I also broke a personal rule not to pay until afterwards with the two more expensive ones. They worked out fine -- no rush. Still.

I didn't see any girls cruising the beach. I propositioned my 19 year-old cute waitress. "What are you calling me, a working girl?" Oops! I had to backpedal fast. She settled down and said she often gets that from tourists. I guess so.

I really miss the party scene. There were only ten guys in Kings on Saturday and five girls. I used to love to dance at el Central and buy girls drinks. There would be dozens, everyone having a great time. There are other cities with lots of girls -- Medellin and Jaco come to mind -- but the raw energy of the Sosua's scene was unique in my opinion.

Puerta Plata will be hosting 25 cruise ships this August. That's a large amount.

Its going to be interesting to see what takes place there.

That being said there will not be another Sosua as we know it for quite a while. The scene will spread out as dudes discover the apps they'll find that most of the women they meet will be in Puerta Plata city /.

Sue vets and Sue sexpats already know about The Puerta Plata Malecons on Sundays. Some guys will discover Boca Chica and the deported Haitians stopping there first to get their money up to go back to wherever they used to live.

But for the average weekend warror they'll hit SD and call it a day. No way could they shut down El Conde or the SD Malecon in the same way you already have the mixed tourism and the girls are generally low key.

For guys that like to window shop and pick fresh mangos right off the street hanging out at the Cigar Bar in Parque Colon and Parque Cervantes at the Malecon can't be beat.

I think Punta Cana will fill the void for a while. Most of Sosua best talent came on weekends from all over the island. The clubs in Punta Cana can provide the girls access to willing tourists. There has always been low key action there. It would be very hard to crack down on girls going to a clubs. Inspite of what Mr E thinks. These girls do not have many good options. Punta Cana is a lot closer to Santo Domingo. The Santiago girls are more classy and I think would like the Punta Cana vibe. There a club Infinity Blue that has Classico vibes. Going to Sosua had a stigma that Punta Cana does not have. The infrastructure is perfect for the weekend hustlers.

Will passport bros blow it up? You bet they will. The young guys have no clue how to keep a low profile. Flights and hotels are very reasonable. Once the girls figure out that there is money there Katy bar the door. Punta Cana is a lot bigger then Sosua so it could adsorb the week end warriors without to much fuss. I am going this week to hook up with one of my favs.

What all the expat monger business owners don't want to ay is that basically what's happening is massive land reform before a play to turn it into Punta Cana North.

The likelyhood of this happening is slight as far as a total transformation. But the area is getting a rebrand and Politicians and their friends are gobbling up land to sell it to anyone willing to put a hotel in an around the strip So that means the most ratchet Sosua Street rats, drug dealers. and soft shoe papi chulo Pimps had to go. The upside is the theives and pickpockets, are going too. As well as the street hustlers and beggars too.

But so too a bunch of Su York types riding ATV's and smoking weed on the beach have to go too.

My prediction is in five years we got another Boca Chica on our hands some decent Hotels less tourists the hoes on some side street and everything low key.

The Youtube creep cammers have already decomped to Cartagena where they already had their crackdown and things are more under manners and the girls are more discreet.
