Here's my review from my last 2 visits in Arusha (both short stays- 2 and 3 nights).

Also would love to see your recommendations for my next visit in Arusha.

Arusha seems to be a quiet place with a little bar / nightclub scene, but there are few places to go.

Nothing like DAR or Zanzibar to pick up a girls but still possible to do so.

First of all- I choose some not expensive hotels not far from the centre, walking distance from Clock Tower, next to the City's main street. Standard in these is usually acceptable (big bed, clean, shower with hot water, AC or fan, cleaning service and a breakfast) and there are no other tourists so I feel more free to bring the girls. I always book a room for 2 people and I tell them on reception that the other guest will check in later. Anyway price is practically the same on booking if I book it for 1 or for 2. And later I can just bring anyone in there and there were never problems- as the reservation is double.

Mostly I'm using very cheap moto-taxis that can take me anywhere around in a few minutes. Sometimes at night when it's cold I use tuktuks. Also when I go back to the hotel with a girl. Take a fleece or something warm for the nights and a pair of long trausers.

From the centre I have 2 areas I usually visited at evenings or nights for "hunting".

1st one is The Hub and the other club not that far from there (don't remember the name). The Hub. Mostly there are groups of friends having fun. Girls and boys. A few girls that are having fun just with another female-friend and a few I guess semi-pros. All at all I'm very picky and I found just 2 girls that I really like (from many, but most with a groups), both were dancing with their friends. They couldn't go with me that night. Opposite site is XO Lounge and its very local place. First you enter to a hall with bar and there are not so many people. But than you get inside and there is a bigger hall with extremely loud music, people drinking and smoking and having fun. Here I see it's much easier to pick up a girl. Not many beauties though but sometimes you can find a nice one.

I talked to good looking one (8/10) and 1 hour later we were in my hotel for a night. 20 yo with great body and nice face. She was fucking really good. Definitely to repeat, but unfortunately on my next visit year after I found out that she became fat, so not anymore.

I just came back after a 6 week stay in TZ, mostly in Dar.

I would recomment the following places to find reasonable girls.

1.) Wavuvi Kempu. Have a look at the girls who are desperately waiting outside to find someone who pays the entrance fee for them.

2.) 1245 - This time I was surprised in a good way. Quite crowded and some real spinners. Ofc you will find the more chubby girls too, since 1245 is a place where the Nigerians hang out.

3.) Samaki Samaki.

4.) Tips (next to Wavuvi Kempu).

5.) Slipways, there is a bar "Taste of Mexico". On Thursday nights there is life music. Many white men and black girls around.

I think so but I don't know where to start looking and I don't especially have any idea of the prices compared to those in Mombasa.

2) What is the sea like? Could I find something like a Big Tree? Mind you, the Big Tree is not a nice place in my opinion but it rents sunbeds where I can lie down and read my book, drink my beer and swim, etc. The sea of Bamburi is not beautiful, I know. I ask what Dar El Salam's looks like to you.

3) What can you tell me about the security issue? I repeat that I stay at home at night but it is right to know.

4) Girls' prices are subjective, so who knows. But is the cost of living typically less than or more than Kenyan?

5) I'm also looking in forums other than this if there are places that can be similar "in structure" to a place like Mtwapa, going down the coast. I ask too much ha ha ha.

#1: Yes. I mostly stay in Mikocheni in Treasure Victoria Apts. Not this time in November / December since the place I rented is under renovation. Mikocheni is as good as Masaki, but not too expensive.

#2: The beaches north of the city center are dirty and the water is polluted. The beaches south of the harbour are nice and clean. But it takes 45 minutes upto 1 hour to go there by Uber. I prefer to go to the islands: Bongoyo or Mbudya. There is a nice beach in the north, a bit far: Ndege beach. Sunbeds are available at all beaches in the south. But there is nothing like Big Tree.

#3: Dar is a really secure city. Never had any problems.

#4: I pick first class girls only. Young, dark, slim, beautiful, well dressed. I usually give them 150 k TSH. Not a shilling more. 150 k are 51/60 USD. Ofc you can have cheaper girls.

#5: Correct. The outgoing scene changes constantly. You need to know locals to know where to go.

I'm not late at night.
