I decided to head back to Fortaleza (second trip in a month) because I had met some good women there. All civilians with jobs. Here are my additional notes.
Hoots is a great spot on the weekends. Best to have a wing man. Get inside to the main pub that has live music. Lots of talent.
I really enjoyed the local beach down at the end of the boardwalk. Just look up pirate bar and you'll find it. That beach easily had the best looking local women in the smallest bikinis. Iracema was the next best but still not close and Beira Mar was easily the most boring with the most conservative women.
Zipi bar notes. Thursday night visit.
11:40 pm arrival. Tons of dudes drinking around the outside so I would never call the outside area private. I guess it's the only show in town. 11:40 is a good time to walk in to get a good bar table seat on the main floor area.
Pretty empty of women at 11:45. Expected. Just a handful of foreigners. Place is clean and modern. Good service. Drink card given upon entry. Place Reminded me of a neon bar from Sosua or Pattya.
12:30. Mostly older guys, but some young guys too. Women rolling in steady. A few 8's. Felt more and more like Thailand without the ping pong balls flying.
8 women, 30 dudes. Women 25+ in age.
Music reminded of a cruise ship club: haha.
1 am. 45 dudes. 10 women.
Funny watching the younger guys thinking it's their looks that will get the attention of the women here. The women will fuck / give attention to anyone that says Hello,. My lord.
Upon leaving, I went to pay in the back area. Another 20 dudes hanging out back there. Crazy.
2 spaten longnecks. 60 are Total.
Oh and I stayed in Beira Mar. Good access to nice restaurants. I stayed in an apartment-hotel I found on Airbnb. Message me if you want the link. It was guest friendly but I didn't push my luck. Just 4 civilian women over 9 days. Some came more than once.
Taco.

Posts: 1Advice Needed:
I'll be traveling to Fortaleza for - 5 days with a friend. Where should I go to meet "working" girls? I only speak English, and I'd prefer not to use our room because I'm splitting the room w my travel buddy. Most likely I'll be staying in Beira Mar area.

Posts: 897I just got back from a month in Ceará. I am a Spanish speaker and a very poor and humble Portuguese learner. I think native Spanish speakers agree that the falantes de português can understand us, but we can't understand them.

If you speak, intermediate Spanish, you're actually going to be doing quite well. But a lot depends on your audience, and if they're willing to be patient and to make an effort to understand what you're saying. Sometimes my dates have said "no entendi", when what I'm saying in Spanish is very similar to the words in Portuguese. They're just mentally lazy. It's at that point when I just turn to the translate app on my phone.

But yes, with some confidence and intermediate Spanish, you will be just fine in Brazil.
Bumble and tinder have been my go to apps in Brazil. I always use them. I've used seeking in the past, but it's overwhelming in Brazil.

Posts: 135In 2nd and 3rd tier country, when something bad happen to you the worst thing to do is usually to call the cops. Especially if you don't master the local language, culture and laws. That's probably why most country with a big chunk of there economy sat on tourism have a tourist police. They are usually taking side of the tourist to protect the industry.

First time visit. Spanish speaking, but very little Portuguese.
Meireles waterfront is super nice. Clean. So many places to enjoy and no goons. Only thing lacking is a lot of good looking women. Like WTF. This really never changed during my many walks. Maybe they were all out in the morning exercising. But the vibe of Rio, with chicas walking around half naked in bikinis is definitely not happening on this side of the beach.
Huge exercise culture! Every kind you could ever want right near the water.
Full length pools.
Basketball.
Volleyball.
Bike trail / running trail.
Pickle ball.
Hard court soccee.
Exercise classes in designed beach kiosks.
Sidewalks were great as well. Not all beat to crap like Rio.
Futuro side of Fortaleza. Wow it's super run down on this side. You can tell where the money is being spent, not on this side! I went to Orbita blue beach club and it was a nice place but very little eye candy and a lot of gay dudes.
Futuro beach clubs look great and some have swimming pools, but I would never want to stay on this side of town.
Ok, so what did I enjoy. The dating apps were VERY busy. I met three lovelies. All were non pro's and were not interested in money but super happy with a surprise gift. One spent the night two times and I had to pay pal here a gift from the airport because she was not about money at all and she rocked my world. Bless her heart. Another cutie was from a little ways away and we had dinner before she wanted to give me a massage. That massage was INSANE. Good girl.
My last date and I went to a nice dinner and then she took me out on the town. Wow, some of the bars have some INSANE talent. I just didn't see it on the beach. And a lot of the girls are out at night without men.
I would easily go back to Fortaleza, but I would do a lot of work on where to stay. My airbnb was like a prison and I had to work some magic to get visitors in. Plan a 2 week stay for best results.
The one beach that I absolutely loved was Playa Iracema, but way down toward the end by Ponte dos Ingleses. Thats where you will find the good looking locals wearing very little, especially on a Sunday. Definitely don't miss that show!

No reason for me to stay and await for the police. Telling what, telling them I had 25 minutes more of f*cking thet they owed me?
The one who could have caused problems would be the porteiro downstairs at the entrance but I know him for many years.
Anyway had a a date with a regular GF the same evening so I saved my milk for her.

Also, how could you compare Brazil with Colombia, is Fortaleza as good as Medellin for example? I'm ready to go and explore. I was in Medellin a few years ago and was very pleased with quality of talent there. Fortaleza and Rio will be next soon, God willing.
Thanks everyone for your input.

Posts: 4201Everything depends on where you are. Sometimes apartmennts are better and sometimes hotels are better. Which ones that are best value are valuable information. Considering that you ask a lot of questions and never reports back I'll share no information with you.

I have been thinking about exploring the North of Brazil. For instance, in Natal, are hotels girl-friendly. Or is apartments the best choice?
