If you want to try something different. Check out this street on the other side of the bridge. A tuk tuk driver I've befriended over a few trips introduced me to this street where there are 3-5 KTV's. Girls have less mileage. I chose one girl. We sat down for dinner along with driver (did all the translating! Two older gals joined us. I don't sing but the karaoke guy came by with an ipad. Driver sang Beatle's Imagine.

The girl I chose was an 18-year old virgin. We only had dinner.

Here's one KTV so you know which is the street. Like I wrote above there are 3-5 KTVs on this street all adjacent to each other. Its tailored for locals. You can take a girl but YMMV.

At another bar a girl was eager to go with me. I asked if she had an id-card (to show at my hotel), she didn't (she had forgot it in her province). So, she could only go to a short-time hotel next door. I cancelled since the hotel was 25 dollars. Is this a common occurent here? I could have tried to argue at the reception though...

ID: I met a girl that did not have ID. She was definitely over 18. The bar kept her ID because she owed US $300 - probably a loan when she needed money. At the time I was staying at an airbnb with no security so an ID was not required.

I don't know how common it is for girls to not have their ID.

I usually pay $100 for LT, which is come to my room, stay the night and go home in the morning. BF amd LD's not included in the $100. So my business model isn't on get their WA and see them off hours so I don't have to BF or buy those stupid watered down LD's that they guzzle quickly within 2 minutes.

I'm not sure what the cost is for ST since I only do LT.

I usually don't ST and often pay $20 BF for long time.

Low season in PP. Little has change the last year here. The bars operate the same way, but the quality seems to be down when it comes to the girl: Age is up (more girls over 30), and looks are down. Especially on street 136, bars on other streets seems better. For st I have been quoted usd 15 for barfine + 5 for each ld. Some bars have a policy of a minimum 3 drinks before a girl can leave. Is this practice uniformly in all the bars? Anybody knows?

Additionally the (obligatory) "tip" for st seems to be usd 60.

Short tuk-tuk rides are 1 or 2 dollars.

That minimum 3 drinks is something I'd never encourage. The barfine covers the bar. Of course, ST or LT prices are always negotiable depending on the usual circumstances. Thanks for your update.

I tend to enjoy the FL / GC scene in places like BK or Patts as they are mostly less pressure situations than Soi 6 or the Gogos. There tend to be fewer ladies in the FL places, and not many under 30. I've heard that Pontoon is kind of the epicenter for FL's to congregate in PP, curious about any recent experience. Are these mostly ladies that have "timed out" in the 136 street bars, or more of the office lady or occasional need extra cash variety? Is there similar action location in SR? A second question is about really nice massage locations that most likely do not offer extras, but have a good massage service, I expect it to be pricer as well..

I can also confirm that grab is 100,000, which is $25 USD. Personally, I will always take grab over a taxi because of safety and no chance of overcharging or arguing over quality of bills. There is always really bad traffic in the last stretch before riverside and a taxi driver might try to extort you for more money.

In the city, grab tuktuks are convenient and cheap but take a grab car from the airport, you don't want to sit in a tuktuk for an hour to save a few dollars.

The new taxi process works well. You inform the "guy on the sidewalk" of your destination and he gives you a ticket and price. He calls a taxi and you pay sidewalk guy. I also got taxi driver's WA for return trip. He was punctual and same price, US $25. Nice clean official taxi car with AC.

How much is a taxi price from Techo airport to riverside area? Is it a fixed price or do you need to negotiate?

$25 set price with taxi service at the airport. I was there last week. Its about an hour to Riverside.
