Since I was a complete newb, and still mostly a newb, I figured I might be a good guy to write a quick summary guide for other newbs trying to figure Lisbon out. I don't believe there are sticky threads unfortunately, but you can reference this post by URL with post number in it. I don't think "reports of distinction" is being used much, otherwise I'd submit it as a candidate for one.

Lisbon is a great city for our hobby, but can be a bit confusing to navigate at first. Prostitution is legal, but can't be advertised too much and brothels are not legal unfortunately. So if you are looking for a quick incall where you will be able to select from one of several providers available, that's tough. It's my understanding that some massage parlors are essentially brothels, but even that info is hard to find and mostly unconfirmed.
