I can't send DMs as I have tried but couldn't pay the subscription and no reply on how to pay besides Scamcoin.

Anyway, the site was simply Tinder. Many health care workers from other countries than KSA are looking for some extra cash.

I am not easily frightened, but in KSA the better choice was to abandon the Mission, which I did. More KSA-experienced punters can tell me if I was seeing ghosts or whether this was the right course of action. I subsequently did invite someone over to the hotel and that was a nice experience, and now her house mate also wants to come by. Good times.

    Riyadh hotel

Does anyone have any experiences with the Braira al Yarmouk? I wanted to stay in a compound for easier access to booze and fun, but couldn't find any (recommendations appreciated). Now staying at this hotel and wondering if I'd be having any fun at all in Riyadh.)

If you're ever in Riyadh and want to see it for yourself, check out the street of Batha near the gold shops. You'll notice local Arab girls strolling around, too.
During my visits in the Kingdom, I have had the pleasure of meeting ladies from Phils, Indo and few from African continent. Source was one of the mobile apps. As Curious GFE rightly pointed out, if observed carefully, one can see that in Batha and few malls indirect solicitation was prevalent. Not only Estraha or Compounds, now some of the hotels in 3 major cities are also available. They are not objecting to couples (read: unmarried) meeting and staying together.

Local ladies also head to Bahrain for fun. If you plan and play well, you may hang out with them. Though it might be a bit expensive outing (wink). Happy and safe punting.

    Cheers.

From the Streets of Burgos to the Sands of Riyadh: A Filipina's Journey

I used to be a walker along the streets of Burgos—doing what I had to do to pay for tuition and medical needs while in college. As soon as I got my license, I didn't think twice—I applied as a nurse and flew to Riyadh to work at King Abdulaziz Medical City under NGHA.

I'm half Filipina, half Mexican, and my body type is naturally curvy—something that often made people think I was Arab. Only difference? I'm just 5 feet tall.

One experience that really took me aback was in Batha, Riyadh. I was walking around the street near the gold shops and noticed some things that strangely reminded me of Burgos. For a moment, I felt like my past had found me, right in the middle of the desert. Hehehe.

But this is the reality of the world now. Even in Riyadh, back before the pandemic, things weren't as strict as people might imagine. During Ramadan, some rules were loosely followed. We could drink, have relationships, and live a bit more freely behind closed doors.

If you're ever in Riyadh and want to see it for yourself, check out the street of Batha near the gold shops. You'll notice local Arab girls strolling around, too.

However, what are the best hotels and airbnbs specifically to stay in and be safe and discreet? Can someone explain what "compounds" to me as I saw it mentioned earlier. I am not married and have a US passport and don't want to land either of us in trouble. Any guidance is appreciated for someone coming in with no experience in KSA.
What I've seen in the housing situation in Saudi Arabia is some private homes are grouped into a walled compound. I was told that a developer would build a dozen houses next to each other, then surround them with a wall and entry gate, creating a compound. The houses would be sold to different people and they would all be part of the compound. Some of the newer houses I've see being built now aren't built in compounds, but you can walk up to the front door from the street. The houses in a compound have the advantage that there's parking for the resident's cars since outsiders aren't allowed into the compound. If you rent an airbnb, I would suggest a stand alone house and not an apartment so the neighbors are a distance away and can't see you bringing in the girl. I think more importantly is who the neighbors are. If Saudi, they might raise suspicion, but if the neighbors are expats it should be no problem.

Sorry Shift, my trip to Riyadh, which was meant to happen end of Nov / early Dec has not yet materialised.

Am more of a club person who laughs at my own unlucks than an apt person.

Now searching for a car rental company that allows the cross the border with the same rental terms, it seems I have to park on one side and arrange a pvt transport both ways.

Have you consider using Careem, which is like Uber. You might get lucky and find a Careem driver who can drive you over the bridge to Bahrain while you park the rented car in Saudi Arabia. Once in Bahrain, you can get around with taxi or Careem because Bahrain is not a large island.
