This small beach town is nice, clean quiet, virtually empty during week days, may be busier during weekend. Back beach is clean, recently relandscaped, water is nice, fresh, cool. Lots of good restaurants cheap, especially fresh seafood, sushi, sashimi, like AYCE me buffet on Hoang Hoa Tham.

A number of van lines, like Toan Thang, depart every 30 minutes from Tan Son Nhat airport directly to Vung Tau, drop you off at your hotel for 200 K dong or about $8. On the way back vans will pick up at your hotel and drive directly to Tan Son Nhat, much faster and better than bus lines. You can book rides on line, at their airport stalls or have your hotels book the rides.

Hotels availability is very good and cheap week days, 25% higher weekends.

Gaigu has about 100 girls listed in Vung Tau, 200 K to 500 K or $8-20, working out of love hotels on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai area about 2 miles North of the beach. Book grab ride for about $1 to those hotels. A wingman stayed in Vung Tau 1 week, sorted out 4 favorites, beautiful spinners, $20 sessions, add $4 for anal. Abbreviated slang form of the Nang, central coast, just south of Hue, just north of Hoi An. Name probably emanates from The American War generation (as the Vietnamese call The Vietnam War). Unless your question is being ironic.

Hey all, I am making my first trip to Vietnam in Sept. I am planning on going to Hoi An / the Nang, partially to get some custom clothing, but also considering Ho Chi Min for the hobby. Are there any good hotels on the beach that are guest-friendly, or even better, have a selection of people on staff? Am I better served just spending a few days in Hoi An and then booking down to HCMC or Hanoi? I will be in BKK as well so can certainly get my fun there but am interested in tasting the local flavor while I am getting fitted for suits..

I have had good experience with bargirls and massage parlors in Vung Tau. Take the hydrofoil it is fun. There used to be a great massage parlor right across the street from the port in Vung Tau. Some of the most beautiful women I have ever seen in my life!

Honestly, this has me on the fence about even trying out Vietnam. Overall was it still worth the trip? I have had not so great experiences with Korean / Chinese about "big size". Pt. 2 - the Nang.

So after my misadventures in Manila, I landed in the Nang with some regular tourist boxes to check. I was pretty impressed with Vietnam in general. The Nang is a pretty decent city, albeit hot as hell. Stayed at the Hilton for a few days to experience the town side of the city (highly recommenced), then moved to the Golden Lotus for a few days to experience the beach side (not so highly recommended). FYI Lotus is not girl friendly.

I understood the Nang is not not a mongering hot spot, so I did not have big plans. But I couldn't pass up the opportunity to check the box and bang a Viet in her native habitat. And just like Manila, Tinder came though. I only swiped right on about 10 girls, and got 2-3 nibbles of of that. Picked Ng Kim, she promised everything but anal for 1. 2 m dong.
