Their answer is they not allow sex tourism on the hotel at this point (from the new owner Eric).

Few years ago only one hotel on NosyBe was famous for not letting girls join you: F&F at Ambatoloaka. Lately you find a lot of discussions on social media about prostitution on NosyBe. Most of them in Malgache but also in expat groups.

Too many girls coming from all parts of Mada to NB to search for old vahaza and have sex for money. (. as if it is new.) The discussion goes that the problem starts from local boys, fucking the girls in very young age (14.15. 16), getting them pregnant and then run away. The replies are that it's the fault of the government not to offer them education options to find a job. The discussions are sometimes quite heated with the result to make more people observant: single white men = sex tourist with sexual diseases. Don't get in touch with those bad creatures.

No wonder that hotels, which cater for "good travellers", want to avoid any comments in their history that their place is used for prostitution. Until now, NosyBe was known as a place with good beach and nice diving sports for the general tourist. But the red light district is getting bigger and louder and cannot be overseen any more.

NosyBe will have the same reputation as Pattaya.

Maybe this is all just bullshit for the internet and potential social media backlash. The situation on the ground may well be more welcoming in person. I would book one night somewhere and find out for sure. If you don't like the setup, move on the next morning. If this is true and becoming a trend what is to become of Nosy Be's rasion d'etre? Chase off all the guys looking for poon in exchange for middle class families from Marseilles? Can't really see it, at least not yet.

Blue Velvet and Etoile Blanche both are located on the beach, walking distance from the action and midrange budget wise. Blue Velvet is the better overall option while Etoile Blanch has the better beach accommodations, views and access to the beach.

I confirm 'chez Sengha' is GF. I've been there in October 2025. I believe the owner changed recently and the actual one, Eric, is cool and friendly. You can leave the girl's ID at the reception if wished. At night, the guard checks the ID, when he doesn't sleep..

Chez Sengha according my experience was not girl friendly on 2023.

So after 3 nights I left because they did not allow me to bring any girl.

2 times I brought I had to go directly to the room without to see me, so no ID on the reception.

If it changed please let me know.

I will be back on March.

Royal Beach is just like Varadero in Cuba, or any all-inclusive in Rep Dom.

Paradise if you can ignore the grinding poverty, (worse than Cuba) corruption, gangs of young local men who look like district 9 citizens, (I had no safety issues but feels intimidating even after walking the beach with personal items worth a locals yearly salary and $100's in cash at the crack of dawn I know stupid long story can't share here) poor infrastructure, WiFi and mobile spotty, power outages, numerous shacks, weird insects, diabolical French language and people.

The local people are friendly (minus scamming tuk tuk / taxi drivers same everywhere) (Minus the hating security guard at a "mongers" hotel the second hotel I booked since no refunds at the first. Minus Mongering paraphernalia stolen from same second hotel.

The women are jovial, compliant, natural, no wigs make up for the most part. The Malagasy women are special (I have mongered on every continent more than once) so is Taxi Be.

Thanks to you and Needy for the info Chez is fully booked. Looks like I just wasted a ton of money. Should have asked before. The place lured me in because of how beautiful it was. Plus the proximity to the strip. Trip starting out on a sour note hope it gets better.

Well. Non Problem. Go on the Ethiopian website book a flight to Nosy Be. Airport code NOS. Don't forget to pre-book your hotel. In Ambatoloaka prices start upwards 30 to 80 a night if you want 24 hours power and maybe Aircon if the generator is strong enough. No need to speak French. Just say fair l amour to anything which walks around looking hot. Prices for hot ones are approaching 40 + or 200 k MGA. Make sure you lock up all your valuables and stock up on condoms as STDs are rampant now. Have fun. Hope that helps. For further reference watch this guy.
