Always good to ask questions here, but I don't understand what info you're looking for in your first paragraph haha its irrelevant whether brothels are in industrial areas or not and tbh idk what an industrial area looks like here in lima or how that info would help you.

1- always carry your passport or ID with you, this should be obvious while outside america and especially south america, especially since you don't speak much spanish haha how can you prove who you are without ID or passport in another country? Also make sure you know where the US Embassy is just for worst case scenario.
2- no you can't take your phone out in the brothel to use translator (what you do in the room with the chick when the door is shut is between you two), BUT A MUST IS learn basic spanish phrases and all you should be saying when going up to a chick standing in front of her room is hola, where are you from, how old are you, etc etc so learn that stuff in spanish and if the vibe is good and you like her ask "listo?" which means ready. You can skip alot of the small talk and just say hola and listo but these are humans also and I've found approaching them like this is best.
3- you're traveling to another country so ID learn these things starting yesterday haha and practice 15 min everyday using LLMs (like chartgpt or similiar) - you can ask it to give you a spanish test and tell it you're traveling to lima and have it create lessons for you based on the test to do everyday until you get here.
4- no where on here have I ever seen anyone say to walk around outside brothels, but everyone is free to do what they want when here but miraflores, san isidro, and parts of barranco are the only places you should be walking around alone and even in those places you can be robbed or worse.
5- the brothels have a loading area near their entrances where security checks you and watches you turn off your phone before you pay the entrance fee, here is where you can order your taxi when leaving.
Like I say in all recent posts, you can avoid all of this and just hire a guide (if available) and pay the $30-50 total to have him take you to and from and stay with you and bring you other similiar places.
I don't get any money for referring my guide / friend and several men have used his services here and even hired him to go to Brazil and Colombia with them to do the same because that's his actual main job, renting mansions and filling them with models for gringos haha. He does the uber guide thing here just to make extra cash and help this community of men who want to travel, have fun and be safe.

Posts: 190I see comments around safety at the brothels and as an upcoming visitor I'm always somewhat baffled but aren't the brothels primarily in industrial areas? I mean I guess you could call the areas safe but at the same time they're unsafe in the sense that it's not like you'd just go walking around the neighborhood? It's my assumption that you basically uber / taxi it to and from there or maybe I'm missing something and it's a great place to walk around outside the brothels? If all we're doing as mongers is simply going to the brothel entrance by taxi and the same when leaving then the brothels aren't really a safety issue thing?

Separately, this will be my first time in Lima. Are you required to bring your passport as ID when going there and can you just show up without ID? I'm obviously not underage so there's not a doubt as to my age in ID requirements? Also, from what I've read on here cell phones can't be used when in there. I have okay Spanish but nowhere near fluent. Do they allow you to use your phone for translation or do they just make you turn it off and put it in your pocket? Last question: after what I just put in the previous paragraph I'm assuming it's easy to book an uber to the brothels and to also book it while inside the brothel for returning back to the hotel or are they a stickler to the no phone on policy that they may you book an uber once you've left the doors of the brothel and you're on the street?

Thank you for your valuable contributions.
Just a note to one of your comnents since it borders a bit into the ilegal.
- "My ladies" are just the girls I have met and Iam glad to share their information with those who seek my help. They do not work for me nor do I get a penny from their dates.
- "They charge $130 for 90 min". This is the minimun of what they expect. There are a couple of models who expect $230 dls but the final amount depends on what you can agree on.
- Keep on enjoying Lima my friend. Not many people can have the options you have.
Later.

to my knowledge and those who know more than me here, there are no brothels in safe areas haha San isidro has some massage parlors and theres a few spas scattered around but no brothels.

in my experience. every south american country is different with its sex work/tourism culture- miraflores and the safe areas here in Peru arent built on sex work or sex tourism like capitals in brazil and colombia etc. Lima is much more subtle (not counting street chicks posted up every night) and the sex worker here customers are mainly locals.
Every avenue to see chicks has its risks here :
-the safest option is meeting a random chick you see walking around in mirafores or plaza (mall) and talking to her, getting her whatsapp and meeting up
-next safest is getting in touch with Jockey and his ladies ($130 ish for 1.5 hours)
-the cheapest option is going to the brothels ($25-35 for 20 min w a chick and 50-100 different to choose from)
this is all valuable info and if you want more I posted an updated INFO list a few weeks back

Posts: 113Would you care to name the brothels in a safer area. I only know of Geishas and La Sirenitas.

Posts: 2812Prostitution may be legal in Peru but authorities damned well behave as though it weren't. Harassing prostitutes in the street and raiding venues ("for drugs or IDs") is a way to achieve similar results as a ban. It doesn't quite succeed because Lima is huge and partly lawless.

Prostitution is legal here, so cops don't bust brothels, they go to make sure all the laws are followed and that the girls are all over age and have their papers.

My advice is not to be as concerned with the venue or raids, but more so where in Lima you are when traveling to and from. Because Geishas is not in a safe area, in fact none of the brothels I know are in safe areas.

Posts: 113Thanks for the tips. Do the police also bust brothels? And if they do, are customers also let off?

Posts: 40FYI : Prostitution is legal in Peru
I have been here when this has happened and I've also arrived as it was happening another time haha no customers get arrested so lets not suggest that

(make sure no under age, all have legal papers, etc etc). Typically they don't care about who is there customer wise, when this happens all the customers leave and some wait around the block for however long but often the place will close for a bit.
That said, any situation in Peru. Where you are there and cops are doing these things, there is a chance they ask you for your ID and they check it and you go on your way, and there is an even lesser chance (but still possible) they tell you to give them money (gringo tax).
The police here are not paid well and you often hear how shady they can be. BOTTOM LINE: don't go alone to brothels haha pay the $25-35 and get a driver / guide.
