Posts: 793When will Venezuela start having sex resorts like this again?
This documentary aired in 2007, so Venezuela was sex tourism paradise back in 2007? That's barely 20 years ago. Assuming I get to live another 5 years, I'd love to visit chicas at some beach place as depicted in this awesome documentary.
The odds of Venezuela having sex resorts like that again are pretty high no?

I feel real bad for the chick that had to cater to the gross fat guy, but I suppose unless we look like timothy Chamalet, we're all old fat gross guys to these chicks.

Posts: 793When can we go there for some prime venezuelan poon?
Best case scenario. Things calm down, prostitution gets legalized, brothels aplenty open and we can go down there and get some poon. Oh boy, I can't wait!

Posts: 1710https://travel.gc.ca/destinations/colombia The map has been added recently, and the country as a whole is in 'yellow', but Venezuela is in red or Avoid all travel. BTW bridge crossings are in Cucuta and areas north of the city are very risky.

Posts: 9Thank you for this. BTW I found that Venezuelan embassy in Ottawa doesn't issue tourist visa. So I have to apply for it in a Colombian city. Well I do visit Colombia quite often, so I'll apply for it in Medellin or Bogotá.

I live in the USA but since I'm Canadian I've to apply in Ottawa, which increases my logistics but I'll get started on this.
While I wait for the VISA, I am hoping the Trump-Maduro riff gets settled in one way or the other.
I'm not in a hurry. I will enter with a visa and my flight after a few months.

Posts: 9Entering Venezuela as a Canadian
I'm well aware of travel restrictions given by the USA, Canada and the other developed western nations.
I speak fluent Spanish and I'm not Caucasian. I have several friends who are venezuelan born, who live in Colombia, USA etc. I have heard first hand reports of them entering Venezuela by road and by flight, without any problems.
That gives me a confidence that I can go as well. Has anyone from here recently (Nov, Dec 2025) entered and excited this great country with a Canadian or other Western / European passports?

Posts: 173Your friend most likely will experience the same issue that happens to any foreigner entering Venezuela. The odds are high that at some point a cop or national guard will harass him, not out of any political motivations but to coax him for a bribe, to get some $$$ "para LOS refrescos". Tourists carry dollars and people are desperate for those dollars.

Posts: 173No, you don't have to exchange dollars to venezuelan bolivares anymore, that's old news. Back in 2019 Maduro decriminalized the use of foreign currencies and nowadays our economy for all intents and purposes has been dollarized. I can't even remember when was the last time I used physical Bolivar bills to pay for something.

This is true. And the ones from USA who do enter (there are ways to do this and not use a port of entry), getting locked up ASAP.

Question. My friend is a citizen of Ireland, which Venezuela permits people from there to visit.
What do you think about an Irish person traveling to Venezuela?
Of course it's a third world dangerous place right now (Venezuela). But do you think he would have any issues from the Venezuelan government or military?
The most I have seen them do to the YouTuber is detain him for several hours and asking him tons of questions about why he is there.
Has anyone from Europe visited Venezuela recently and if so how did it go?

Posts: 132You need to bring a wag of US bills and smaller bills as they use American dollars there, the same problem as in Cuba. You want US cash to exchange it in bits for Venezuelan currently to take advantage of the "street" vs "government" USD to Bolivar price. Bring $1, $5, $10 bills, I know it sucks, it is because they use USD in the black market but they have no change for large bills...

I prefer Colombia you get the best of both Colombians and Venezuelans.
