I am planning a trip to Thailand in early May and will be in Phuket for 10 days. I plan to stay for 5 days close to Patong. I am trying to choose another location on the island for the other 5 days. I am looking for good balance where I can chill, enjoy beach, nice hotel and frequent good bars with also a few naughty massages. I spent a while reading past posts and got a couple ideas, I. E, Rawai. Or should I spend 5 days in Koh Samui? What would you seasoned Phuket punters recommend? Thanks in advance.

Read this thread for options, pay special attention to posts by ThaiGoodTimes, he is the Phuket expert. I've had my eye on Rawaii, but never stayed there because I'm afraid to ride motorcycles and you almost need a motorcycle or car in that area. If you go to Patong first, you will be disappointed in the mongering options on Samui. Still, Samui is my favorite piece of Thailand.

TF is very much a Pattaya dominated site.

To a lesser extent it covers Bangkok well, but outside of those two locations it is no goldmine at all.

More like a diamond or opal mine as you have to dredge through a lot of crap to find anything worthwhile.

With the Alcohol Ban going into effect this weekend and next, do you think this will have all the freelancers taking a break or ramping it up because there will be less to do for the tourists? I'm just worried about where I can watch the Super Bowl!

Oof. Compared to my trip to Pattaya last year where TF was a gold mine, it seems like there are slim pickins in Phuket on TF. Is that the norm? I'm not sure there is a single one I would message out of the 35 that popped up. I'll upgrade to premium shortly, but this initial search is a little scary!

If you search "The Goat Bang Tao Sports Bar", which is a legit place and nice to hang out for a beer, you'll find there are a couple of massage parlors and girlie bars within a few hundred meters within each direction of that bar. It's usually pretty quiet so you can chose any girl you want and nego the prices.

I would appreciate sharing of other places in Bang Tao. There are bound to be plenty more, just not that obvious..

You seem to have mixed up Boat Avenue Bang Tao with Boat Lagoon Koh Kaew.

They are 20 kms apart.

Am travelling to Phuket with friends. Will be staying in the boat lagoon area. Would appreciate recommendations on some massage shops where I can get FS. Do the girls do BB? What rates should I negotiate to?

You're out of luck as there are no dedicated and easily found FS focused massage places in the Boat Lagoon area.

The nearest clusters are 15 minutes travel away in Phuket Town around Phoonpoon Road (near Katherines Massage).

That said, there is a good chance of FS in any massage shop anywhere, look for ones that are not part of a big chain setup, especially ones where the staff don't wear matching uniforms.

As to BB, many will do it if you pay the price, take the risk, and for some can prove you are safe / clean (STD's, pregnancy risk)..

The fact you didn't pretty much means you chose one with no connection, no interest beyond payment happening.

What you want always depends on chemistry, so don't buy pretty, don't buy a salesgirl marketing herself, look for interest, take you time choosing.

If you choose wisely and connect, then DFK, BBBJ, and GFE leading to boom boom, tho rarely bare at a soapy, is possible..
