Yep that's why I emphasized the food was only decent. Wings were. Ok. Can't talk about the other things on the menu, but all my friend's dishes looked meh. None of them were really raving about any of their meals.

I agree with this sentiment 100%. First off Sosua is losing business and Flip Flop has an interest in telling people otherwise. I like his restaurant but it caters to mongers and since mongers have been shut out for the last 6-7 months, I am sure he is taking a hit. The best restaurant on the north coast for wings is Crazy Ranch. Look it up for your next visit and I am not a shill, I have no vested interest in this restaurant but just in my opinion they have the best wings. I agree about Flip Flops that the waitresses are the best thing about it. This is not a post to trash anyone but fellas, things have changed in Sosua. It is never going back to the Ol days. Looks and quality of the chicas is down a lot but there is still a good time to be had. The wonderful beaches, nice restaurants in Caberete and if you have a roster then plenty of nice chicas to be had. I would not recommend Sosua for a first timer but if you have connections then it can be a very enjoyable place.

I have no idea who the guy is and nothing personal, but he was the owner of the video someone put up last week about Clasico. I exactly said this has to be someone with a vested interest to get people to Sosua. I ate at his restaurant last March 4th because another board member said it was the place to go. I did not even mention it in my report back then. It sucked and was overpriced. $14 for a burrito full of rice, with more rice on the side! WTF. The time I ate there I was the only customer.

Thank you, my man! I always appreciate those who can talk about the way things once were. Honestly, comparing past experiences to my fairly recent experience should give people an idea of where things are headed.

I agree wholeheartedly with your point about the mongers. There are certain mongers that'd prefer Sosua remain an open-air brothel. They're the type of mongers who wanted that wild west, unrestrained block party vibe. But I get the sense that these same types of mongers were way too rough and crude with the girls. I have no hard proof, but the vibes a lot of the girls were giving off is telling me that so many of them went through a whole bunch of shit with past mongers.

I asked most of the chicas I hooked up with if it was okay if I could film the sex. In other Latin American countries, some of the chicas I met were cool with filming. And even the ones that weren't, they would politely / cutely turn me down. But these Dominican chicas, they just immediately (and loudly) said hell no. Waitresses were mostly just hanging out idling. Flip was busy talking to some guys at the bar who looked like expats. For a Saturday at his restaurant, I would think at least half the tables in the restaurant would be taken up. But it wasn't.

His business is suffering. I remember in one of his videos, he was trashing this idea of Sosua becoming a family resort destination, talking about how the average family only spends about $60 at his restaurant. He needs the mongers / party animals back.

It's hard to blame him for putting on a front to try and lure mongers back to Sosua. But I wish he wasn't so arrogant at times. The fact that he keeps fighting people week in and week out on the current state of Sosua should really be all the confirmation you need that things have slowed down a little in Sosua (though there's still some fun to be had).

I appreciate your fantastic review. The chicas you mentioned were the type on the strip a year ago and only one part of the reason for Atlantico (the government program that shut Sosua down). However these were not the types seen before COVID. I am not trying to sound like an old dude with the "remember the glory years" but the quality of chicas are very different now. I now see those older types of chicas on Instagram and only fans now. I have seen more than a few that were straight 8,9 and even 10's that now have only fan pages and I say to myself damn I remember when I had her for 40 dollars-LOL. Also, if you're writing 30 k words that just reinforces a lot of the ideas that were recently expressed here, then I'd recommend cutting down on the word length. A thesis only has real value if it offers up new ideas or insights and builds upon that with examples and / or data.

I went to the newly opened Classico's twice during my weekend in DR. It was. Meh. Many working girls there, but they were all dressed up in club outfits (think dresses and tight jeans). Which makes sense, as the cops on the streets are cracking down on girls that are obviously dressed as sex workers.

As I said in my original post, none of the working girls at Classico's were really all that attractive. By far, the hottest women at the club were the workers. The waitresses and bartenders. Oy marrone, some of those waitresses should have been goddamn models. But these workers seemed to be all about business given the way they were moving around, taking orders, handling alcohol, communicating with one another, etc. Despite how good they looked, I didn't get the sense they were there for the men to take home at night.

As a club, it was nice, but not all that different from some of the mid-tier clubs we have here in the US.

Yeah, the girls are why we come here. So let me talk about all 6 girls I ended up schtupping during my trip. One quick note. I relied on Tinder for some of my girls. Holy hell. Tinder was just easy mode. I was getting blasted with likes every ten minutes. Overall, chicas were all right. The hype for the DR women is overblown. They're just not GFE. It's tough to get some of them to even agree to BBBJ. On top of that, no kissing and no filming. I sense some of them have had negative experiences with the type of men that have been coming there for the past decade, so they're much more reserved than I expected.

One guy here said it best. Unless you can speak the language and bond with these women, you're probably better off going to an FKK. The mediocre sex to be had in these places doesn't quite justify the time and money spent taking the trip.

I'm probably coming back once I learn more Spanish. I feel like I can have a much better time once I can communicate effectively with the women. And I do want to make that happen, if only so I can finally live the DR experience I've been expecting now for quite awhile.

Never ever would I even consider using a dating site to get girls, especially for light-skin Vennies when I'm in the DR, the land of chocolate huge-ass goodness. You couldn't swing a cat without hitting a girl. Prices are 2,500-3,000, so you paid the price for not speaking Spanish. You never spoke about the beach, that was my daytime hangout with local friends. Son, I'm sorry, but you missed the bus. You might've been in Sosua, but you never experienced Sosua.

Thing is I have seen this movie before. Nostalgic mongers waiting for their favorite venue to be popping again once it has been shut down. Then there is a glimmer of light. The place opens back up, but it is not the same as last time. It is only meh. Then it finally fizzles out.

Someone opened a fake ass Help in Rio after the real one had closed. By then it was too late. The chicks that were worth anything had moved on to other means besides that club to make ends meet. Think about it. If you lose your job today and go on to find another job tomorrow, three years later you are not waiting to get the old job back. You have already settled in to the new job.

People do not know when to let go and do shit out of nostalgia. It happens with all kind of shit. Just like Snoop Dogg recently buying a defunct Death Row Records.
