Posts: 7095Uber Drop off at Overpass Bridge
Uber usually drops off at the taxi stand, or if insisted, at the foot of pedestrian overpass bridge where policia posts their robbers. Either way you still have to walk through multiple policia checkpoints and face harassment. Uber won't avoid them.
Back in the worst years of policia abuses during 2008-2012, I used to walk back by myself late at night on the dark path from the taxi stand toward Ped East gate, got stopped by policia a couple times, harassed, searched but never lost any money. I just held my wallet and money in my hands and insisted on opening them myself if they wanted to check, so they could not steal. One time they found 5 condoms and a pack of sildenafil in my back pocket and had a good laugh.
This wingman is a very tough and careful guy with deep experiences in Tijuana. He parked his car in front of Bank America on San Ysidro Blvd with its massive security cameras, then locked it 5 different ways to make sure nobody could steal it. He made me laugh with his deep layers of security. I don't know why he did not have the wit to hold his cash and wallet, and how he lost his $150 to policia, may be too drunk. Cannot explain it.

Posts: 7095Policia Robberies on Ped East
A wingman lives in Chula Vista, crosses over to Tijuana a couple times a week at various times day and night.
He was walking back on Ped East early morning last Saturday about 1:30 AM, got stopped by 3 policia at the overpass pedestrian bridge. 2 asked him questions while 1 was searching his pockets. They did not search his wallet, then let him go towards the US border gate. Once in US he found out $150 cash in his side pocket was missing. I asked him if the putas, and not policia, had stolen his money. He was sure 2 policia distracted him with questions and one stole it.
Tijuana recently posted policia on Ped East, purportedly to help prevent criminals to cross into America. Looks like policia has gotten bold and aggressive recently, extorting and robbing people on foot and in cars in many places in Tijuana.

So where is your proof about the 500 and 200 Mexican notes being fake? Did you read it in the news?

Posts: 7095Dr. Livingston's Road Trip in the Tijuana Jungle.
A young wingman had 2 friends visiting from out of state, drove them down to Tijuana. The wingman went way out of his way treating his friends to a mini road trip along the coast of the famously dangerous Baja California Norte. They had seafood lunch in Tijuana playas then drove along the coast past Puerto Nuevo for dinner at the fancy Rest Encanto on the beach.
The visitors are big spenders. They booked Cascada's penthouse with hot tub and took 3 HK girls for an all-night party and orgy for a big sum of money to the girls. They think it's cool and fun to screw girls in a semi private setting, like sharing carnal pleasures among friends, but there were no swapping as the rotten putas demanded payment for new session for every switch, so what's the point for an orgy and group sex? His friends got a fantastic treat for their first visit to Tijuana.
The next afternoon I assume they wanted to see the slums East of Tijuana then drove back via the Otay Mesa port of entry and not San Ysidro. I got his urgent Whatsapp msg for help in the afternoon, that he got in the wrong return lane, stopped by policia and accused of cutting in line. They demanded he go with them to ATM for cash to pay the fine. I told him to insist on going to the station to talk to their captain or a judge; the fine, if valid, should be no more than $20, but his friend quickly offered up $300 cash to pay fine for all 3. WTF? They are amateurs and really fucked up the markets for HK putas and policia extortion. Now Tijuana policia will insist on $100 fine for each passenger for every infraction hehehe.
The wingman complained potholes were breaking his car's suspension, but the main risks were to him and his friends and were a lot higher. His plan for this mini Mexico road trip was very poor, potentially exposing his friends to financial, legal and safety risks. He's a commercial pilot, flying passengers around Western states, responsible for the safety and life of his passengers in every trip. I hope he never has the urge to show his passengers how much fun flying a plane into a thunder storm and breaking it up into hundreds pieces just for kicks.

When I saw the headline I thought you were going to have a link to the story of the American lady that was arrested for using counterfeit Mexican bills in Tijuana.
Maybe it's true about the hotel story but usually you would think that money is going be spent back in the club so only makes sense if it was the money from his deposit being returned and they knew if was immediately going back to the US.
I only use large bills when paying and have never had an issue. Again the money I receive back is just going to end up with them again anyways so it would defeat the purpose for them to give me a fake bills.
The ATMs are not controlled by the Cartels, they are banks or a regular company that has guys in armored trucks fill them.
If you get counterfeit money from them just report it to the company but you only have 5 days to do it.

Posts: 7095Counterfeit Dollars in Tijuana
A very nice, reliable wingman, a security expert, mentioned to me last week that hotel Cascada reception gave him a fake $50 bill that felt soft like printer paper, not the strong linen-based paper of US currency, obviously low-grade counterfeit. He gave it back and Cascada apologized, but hotel reception people in Tijuana should be experts at detecting counterfeit dollar bills, much better than any joe blow on the street.
He looks very nice and meek, may be tired and intoxicated, so I believe these shady guys targeted him for a quick cheat. You may be next. It could happen in many other places in Mexico. I told the bro to post this info to warn the public but so far he has not done it.
When on the road, better not pay with big bills and get potential change in counterfeit. Pay with $10 and $20 so the fuckers cannot pass back counterfeits. Be careful with bills dispensed by cartels' ATMs in La Zona. Guys have reported getting fakes. They can cause you big legal problems passing them around.
Any bros know the best way to get these criminals severely punished for deterence?

Posts: 7095"El Padrino" from Adelita bar is arrested
In Mexico it's a crime to recruit old, chunky women like those working in Adelita, but recruiting hot, young, sexy girls to work in Hong Kong is OK, as long as LE and government officials are paid off in cash, free liquors, free lap dances, free hotel rooms, free companies of hot girls and free sex.

Tag along with him for the kinkiest deals with the nastiest putas as he makes rains and buys vinitos for them.

This woman very likely is deeply involved with the misappropriation of church funds as well. As for the Bishop how many confessions has he listened to, and how many judgments has he passed upon others over the years, as he stole church money to procure perverted sexual liaisons with tutes from HK Club and probably from other sources as well? There's nothing like moral majority authority to preach about how we should live our lives!
