Discover like Visa, MasterCard, and American Express is a payment network. But what sets Discover and American Express apart from MasterCard and Visa is that the former two also issue their own cards that are serviced exclusively through their respective payment networks. One reason Capital One wanted Discover is because by owning it and using its payment network exclusively, it would no longer need to pay either MasterCard or Visa to use theirs. Whether Capital One bought Discover or the other way around would make no difference as long as the decision to exclusively use Discover's payment network was made. Now, whether or not your Capital One card will work overseas will depend upon whether the merchant accepts Discover's payment network. And since Discover is not as common around the world as the "Big 3" as I call them, the chances are much higher you won't be able to use your Capital One card as much overseas right now. For that reason, my advice would be to make sure you have a card (s) serviced by MasterCard or Visa as your primary go to (I would not even rely upon American Express primarily unless it's a hotel or restaurant maybe). I don't have any Capital One cards, but I do hold a Discover card that is now a part of the Capital One family.

Pricing really depends on the quality and convenience you're looking for.

30 minutes at a downtown casa is like 80 k pesos which is $25 usd but the women aren't going to be amazing. Freelancers around centro are going to be around the same. One hour will be 100-110 k.

Casas in Beln are around 120-150 k per hour, 100 k per 30. The girls are great by global standards but mid range in Colombia.

Casas in Laureles are 180 k per hour, 120 k per 30. These girls are going to be some of the best looking girls you'll find in Casas. The finest women I've ever seen in my life have been here. This is also about how much you'll pay for girls that advertise online.

Lleras girls are going to be 300-400 k on average. They say per hour but they're leaving after you finish one time. These girls are all dolled up and offer the high end image. The most exotic and augmented girls will ask for usd around 150-200.

As long as you have hotel info ready and don't have dildos, condoms and viagra in your bag you'll have no issues with customs. And as far as crime, the chances of being a victim as slim as long as you don't stroll around with valuables showing or drink around tinder dates.

The Capital One purchase of Discover is actually a pretty big deal for the holders of Capital One cards. In the States, people won't notice anything different. It's when you go overseas and try to use your Capital One card when you're going to notice since the Discover payment network is not nearly as prominent overseas as Visa and MasterCard, or even American Express. One of the best cards you can have for getting cash overseas is the Schwab debit card. They refund all ATM fees (not conversion fees though so look out), which is a damn good deal! I keep waiting for the sad day when they say they won't do that anymore. But so far after many years so good!

I've been with dozens of girls from Seeking and my experience has been that the ratio of girls with issues on Seeking is no different than non working girls and a shit ton less than hookers. Arrived on Saturday the 6th of June in the Laureles area. My first time in Medellin. I had a great time and averaged about one different girl per day. I tried online prepago sites, casas, and hunting in the wild in both Laureles and El Poblado where I had an Air BnB about half a block south of Parque Lleras. I had both good and bad results with each method of hookup.

If you go to "LOS Patios" Hostel in Manila, they actually have two of them. On the rooftop, they have a bar, and on weekdays (I don't know the exact days, maybe it's Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), they have free music classes in the afternoon, right around the time it starts turning dark.

You will usually find a decent collection of young Northern European white blonde girls there, all trying to learn local music with very few male partners and a DJ calling out for the guys to join in and help the girls. They are friendly, looking to make friends, and easy to engage. Make some friends, invite them out to dinner, enjoy your evening!

That is why it is a good idea to have two ATM cards at two different banks just in case you run into problems. A backup alternative is also good just in case your ATM card gets swallowed up by the ATM machine.
