I had my carry-on luggage searched, my passport reviewed, had to take my shoes and socks off, and had security ask me a bunch of questions. I can't remember if they looked through my phone or not, I think they were just inspecting the device itself and my laptop, possibly for a bomb?

Might just have been some random check they were doing, since other people got selected at the same time. Maybe it was just revenge bs for what the US was doing to Colombian citizens. It was a bit scary and nerve-wracking, some of us were afraid we were going to miss the flight, since it was while the plane was boarding. Don't think it had anything to do with anything while going through security before that point. This happened to me twice last year, first while boarding a flight from Bogota to Rio de Janeiro, and then again a few months later boarding a flight back to the US.
Happens everywhere. If you did not scan your passport or have already been seen by someone to match your face to your passport they do it at the boarding gate. That's the most common anyway. Perhaps yours was different.

We generally quote things in the local currency (here Col Peso). Why would you offer to pay a women USD in Colombia?

If you still have your boarding pass you should see "SSSS" on it. It's Secondary Screening and in most cases it's random. It's pretty common not only in Colombia but also in other countries for US bound flights.

Remember that Colombia is the number one cocaine exporting country in the world. There is a TV show just about customs in Bogota airport and all the smugglers they catch.

I had this happen to me leaving Tijuana, MX airport. Everything you wrote happened to me too and same timing, etc. It was scary and a bit nerve-wracking. I thought I was going to miss the flight too as it was during boarding. Only time it has happened to me and not sure what triggers it, but like 5 others went through it too so it isn't isolated to just one person.

On WhatsApp, I propose BBFS and give my offer. I get rejected right off the bat maybe 50% of the time. For the remaining half, half of that ask for too much, so about a quarter will take BBFS in between the 350 to 400 range for an hour. I stick to 350 including transportation. If she asks for transportation and I really want to see her, I'll pay for their return trip. One girl was quite hot and I gave her 400. With the exchange rate as it is, anything beyond 400 is not worth it
I already sessioned twice with Tinder girls with two more scheduled for the upcoming days. It's way easier than FB's current limitations, but probably more risky since there's no established profile, so just make sure you guys protect yourself. Most importantly, do not drink with the girl, ever, even after you've met her once or twice. I might have avoided a scope queen when she asked if I've been to Meddy before and I said yes and she went silent.
    Are you saying 350-400 USD?

    Clarification of last post

I have received some messages about my last post. I usually post a full report but had some problems uploading and it might be redundant considering past posts that I have made.

    1) Iv'e been to Medellin dozens of times and have only had 1 minor issue with Immigration while leaving. An officer thought he was Colombo but nothing came of it.

    2) I did not feel targeted at the Airbnb. They have preregistration that is different than other Airbnb's. I think that has to do with the location; it's next to a police station.

    2) I don't go to Lleras anymore. They have too many kids hanging out there and nothing was being done about it. Not worth it!

    3) El Centro is safe place. You are not being hassled or get side-eye. I hang out there when I can. Daylight hours only.

    Airbnb issue in Laureles

I was not able to post a trip report due to technical problems. It's pretty much of same as previous reports but with different women. I rented 2 Airbnb's in Laureles. My main address the one I gave to Immigration was in Laureles for 9 days. The other location was in Laureles Airbnb called Murano. There's a massive police station down the block. This location is more luxurious has a real king size bed and large walk in shower.

I like staying full-time here because it's a bigger place than the other location. The only advantage of the other place is there's no security so you don't have a hassle. It has a locked gate so it's safe. So, to make a long story short the morning I was going to check out of Murano there was a knock on my door. At first I thought it was housecleaners. I ignored them but the knock was persistent.

I looked through the peephole and saw several cops and other people working with them. They even had a German Shepherd. I opened the door and there was cute officer with braces but another lady who a translator was asking the question. I was kind of nervous and did not know what to think. They asked me for the purpose of my visit and then they asked for my passport and the officer took a picture of it and gave it back. They left after that.

As I was leaving (11th Floor) the elevator stopped at the 7th floor and I saw the same people inside someone's apartment.

When you book at Murano you sign up at site that asks for information for your visit. Not just asking for a passport. You can have guests there but you must bring them to front security.

That was last month when I looked at Murano listing it says NO VISITORS are allowed. You can only register someone when booking the Airbnb. No changes allowed after you arrive. Has anyone else noticed any changes?
