The apartment is open after 6/2. For June the rate is $350 for 1 week, $600 for 2 weeks,$750 for 3 weeks and 1 month for $900.00. The weather is a little cooler but still great!
If you rent it for the month we will include a date with a new "friend" of ours a headliner at one of Lima's top clubs!
Besitos,

Can anyone give me more info on the different rooms for Maria Luisa. I saw some old information in the archives but not too many details.
Matrimonal is 18 USD a night
Jr Suite is 26 USD a night
Sr Suite is 37 USD
Damn that is cheap! I am staying 7 or 8 nights. I do not plan on cooking but fridge is nice.
Are the Sr suites worth if if you are staying 7 nights?
In that it is so cheap 37 does not bother me.

We currently have a 1 bedroom flat with a large rooftop pool in Luxury building on Malecon Balta ˝ block from Café Z. I will be renting it for $35.00 a day until it can be refurbished in the next few months and then will be $65.00. You can get more info by writing me at [Email address deleted by Admin].

Paola

-Rooms: large, clean, very nice. Just like a Marriott Residence Inn in the states, but no stove. So what, who's gonna cook on vacation?
-Price: go2peru.com's promotion of $50.35 makes it a great value
-Staff: very helpful, courteous. They also can help out with auto rentals.
-Chica fees: there were NO CHICAS FEES on my bill, and believe me, I had a string of them coming through. So much so that the night portera, a cute chica, gave me some cold stares. They will always stop a chica to hand over an ID card; if the chica didn't have one, which happened a couple of times, they have to fill out a form and we both have to sign it. The positive side is that one gets to find out their real name.
-Towels: only one bath towel, ask the staff for more.
-Hot water: yes, plenty of it.
-Gym: did most of my exercises horizontally and via walking, so no need for the gym, but it's a good one. Wonderful eye candy coming in and out of the gym.
Bad:
-Lousy location, there's a *(#$)#$)% club almost directly across the street. I stayed in the 3rd, 5th and 7th floors and it didn't matter, the bass boom-boom till 4AM rocked the room. Worst Thu-Sat, OK the rest of the days. Fought back with ambien and earplugs. The go2peru.com rooms all seem to face the street and said club, never could get a back room.
-Internet connection: The staff didn't tell me that one needs a password in order to use the wireless in the room. Even still, it was a pain to get setup and the line dropped a lot.
-Laundry: expensive, but it's to be expected
Bottom line: the positives outweigh the negatives and I'd stay there again.

Just remember that you'll need to add $10 to the rate if you want to bring a chica to the room. And don't forget tax which is about 10% for foreigners or 19% for peruvians.
As to those looking for access to a nice gym, anyone can use the brand new Gold Gym in Miraflores for $10/day or $30/week. Maybe Sportlife has the same day/weekly pass opportunity.

Posts: 382Thought I'd pass on a tip received by a fellow Costa Rica Ticas member who, like myself, is also a senior ISG member. When I mentioned my interest in a possible stay at Residencial Las Americas on Bellavista, he advised me to check out the following web site:
www.go2peru.com.
They are still running a Visa card promotion offering various bargains on Lima-area hotels providing they are booked with a Visa card. I was able to arrange a five night stay in a junior suite at Residencial Las Americas for a grand total of $52.00 a night, $23 below the next best quoted price after conducting a rather extensive internet search.

Posts: 70Pre-arrival kudos for Maria Luisa
I'm arriving (virgin trip) in about 48 hours. I emailed the Maria Luisa three months before my arrival, got no response and emailed again. Carol then responded, saying that I should contact them again 30 days before arrival. Guess I (culturally) jumped the gun.
I did, and have since found her both responsive and helpful. Heck, she's even arranged a reasonably affordable (to this gringo - $15) airport pick-up. Just hope the driver show's up and is in some way identifiable. If not, I'll just grab another taxi, I suppose.
Looking forward this this adventure more so than any previous monger trip... thanks in part to those who've preceded me, and been so generous with their guidance and advice. Thanks guys. Hope to meet a few of you soon.

Posts: 24Maria Luisa arranges airport pickup and drop off. It was 15us during my last trip. very convenient if you arrive in the night. Also the night staff speak english so you can call them if lost. It would be better if you call them to make a reservation rather than sending an e-mail. There are internet cafe at walking distance and a nice gym at las america residential. not sure if they are available on a daily basis.
