Posts: 40I'm in my mid-40s and my spanish sucks. Is there any chance I would work something out? Or is it not worth bothering? Thanks for the info.

Posts: 50While I was there, I got the impression from many of the girls that they would have loved to go with me to the coast. I didn't take any, but they seemed more than willing.
As mentioned, speaking spanish is almost a must.

Is there any way I can hire a chica for a week to go with me to the coast and hang out with me while I surf?

Posts: 46Sounds to me more like someone is trying to capture the gringos in Grenada and wealthier Nicaraguans out south of town. They can run down the road a few minutes without having to go all the way into Managua and knock out some young ass. That is expensive.

Those are the most expensive prices I've ever heard in the Managua area: 900 Cords. Is that for 30-minutes or 1-hour?
You know what's cool about Nicaragua is that even though the US Dollar is getting beat-up internationally, it's still holding its value in Nicaragua 18. 20 to 18. 90.

Got a tip on a strip joint directly across from the entrance to the Masaya Volcano, and tried to find it on Sunday but it was closed.
Went back last night and tried again. Sure enough there is a place called Dina's Night Club, which is lit up with a Neon Flor de Cana sign which reads "Sopas Dina's No. 2".
This is a nice place with comfortable seating, and chicas in the 6's to 8's range. Beers for customers for Cords 35 and for the chicas Cords 53. Hard liquor for the chicas was Cords 90. The price for the chicas and the room were cords 900, roughly US$50.

Actually, Ladrillo translates to "brick" ... but that is as close as I can come to a "loaf". As in "I pinched a loaf" or "shit a brick". Ah, yes ... but it sounds good!
Noguera is an apellido so there really isn't a lot you can do with it. Appreciate the effort though.
When are you headed to Managua? I have a gift for you because you sound like a pretty good guy. You will appreciate her ... opps, I mean the gift!
TGAM-nog
Oh wait ... Dodgerbulldog did give me a nickname. He started calling me TGAM-nog which is short for "The Great and Mighty - nog". As in the Wizard of Oz. Not real sure what I am great and mighty at ... but if you know the Dodge, I appreciate the title. Now there is a ***** monger that falls into TGAM/God status! A man whom has actually walked La Linea in Guatemala.
PM me, Ladrillo.

PM you later. I'll scour my dictionary for a similar translation for your name, but it's an appellido y no es un sobrenombre creo. (It's a last name and not a nickname, I believe.)

if you want close-by mongering check out the "guide to managua mongering."
sorry, but i can't really help you beyond what i contributed, although the place i mentioned in san luis sur close to good time, salvadoreno #2, and cuento club charges $25 per night fully furnished with aire conditioning, high-speed internet, and a generator.
wait, there is another place on carr. norte along the lines of a carribean something that is $25. it has the name carribbean in it or something like that. it's located between el malecon and the airport on the a lago side. yeah, i know, that's a 20-minute distance.
what else, there are places within neighborhoods, but you need to scout for yourself.
good luck

After a chinese meal, my friend and I made it to Diamond Club. It was a Friday night, and there were some people there, but there was no cover charge. We ordered a 1/2 bottle of rum for US$15, enough for 2-1/2 drinks each. My friend succumbed to the tentation and bought a US$14 drink for the chick. The girl told me they got half of it. I rather gave my girl a C$100 cord bill(about US$7).
After the bottle was gone, with a drinks and pack of cigarrettes, they also charged us for the bottle of coke and soda which accompanied the bottle, the total cost was $53 or C$832.
It must be stated that the girls at Diamond Club were 8's to 10's, and the ones with us were asking US$280 for sex, or some kind of deal in the VIP room (US$110), which we did not avail ourselves of.
We then went to Fenix, which had very few hookers, about 5, and we took our chicks to the room for C$200 cords for 1/2 hour. It was not bad, but there definitely was no GFE experience, covered BJ and cowgirl. But it was pleasent enough for the price.
So we went in about 10 at night, but when we came out a lot of beauties had arrived, and we were sorry we had not waited for the new herd.
I am in Miami all of next week and am looking for an experienced member to show me around.
Be safe out there!

You could stay at the hospedeje / brothel "Gloria. " Hell, if you spend enough money and ask the owner of "Good Time, " Julio, you might be able to stay there. I did a few times. If "Rahim" is open again, you might be able to stay there..
I think Meat Loaf is kidding but I do need an inexpensive room ($20-25 or less) for maybe up to a week in January. I did a thread search and the board has not been responsive to similar requests. A little help please? Lonely Planet and Footpath have places at and below my price range but I hope I can find someplace like the Maria Luisa in Lima.. Pretty please?
