Posts: 511The Eagle Has Landed (Part 3)
Sorry Iīve been a little laxed, but I have this girlfriend that keeps tabs on me.
Here we go....................went to 185 Rio Branco yeasterday after class. I thought it was Flavia Messages, but wrote down the wrong address. Apt. #1829. There only seemed to be 1 girl workng that I saw, but the buzzer kept ringng.
She was a cute little spinner named Bruna. She had acne, but a great body, complete with fake little titties. I paid R$70 for an hour. It was money well spent. The room had a double bed, air, and was clean. The sheets and towles came pre-wrapped. I would give the place an A, the girl a B.
I will repeat, I got her number.

Stopped by L'uomo last night and have never seen it so slow this time of year. There were only about 12 guys there from 4-7. The dream team of Ingrid, Giselle and Nina are on vacation. Compared to other visits I would rate the talent a little above average, maybe a total of 20-25 girls.

i'd recommend this vid for one thing only - it gives you an idea of the run-up if go there on the bus. as you know, rj buses have only two speeds most of the time - bone-shattering highspeed and stop. so if you jump the bus to praca bandeira (where you need to get off for mimosa) you have to be pretty quick.
the camera is shot from inside a car as it goes along pres. vargas, over the flyover, and onto pr.bandeiras. you can see that the car goes up the flyover, passes under a higher flyover, and then down again. here the car pauses in order to get into the right hand lane in praca bandeira so as to make the turn off under the iron bridge.
if you get the bus, ring the bell as it mounts the flyover. if you leave it past that point you may miss your stop.
(apart from that it is pretty sh*te - it tags vm as "one of the most dangerous and decrepit places in rio de janeiro," drives round on what looks like a sunday morning when it's near deserted, then again at night but fails to spot any action, yet does catch a couple of guys being frisked).
for anyone not familiar with vm, probably best not to go by bus the first time. also the driver in the vid goes round the triangle anticlockwise to comply with the one way system - if you're walking, you'd probably go the other way, the way he leaves the triangle and back onto bandeira.
buses save you time and money unless it's rush hour. and also the grotty walk from the metro station in cristavao (or the confusing walk from the metro in alfonso pena.)
by way of apology to anyone who sat thru it, here's a couple of slightly more atmospheric ones i found in an idle moment
video of mimosa stills (complete with western idiot-music, but ok pics) and
noisy upstairs balcony - crap quality but atmospheric
whereas this one has nothing to do with anything at all - maybe a tourist advert for florianopolis? (click the top left picture to save logging in heh heh) or this one for curitiba
ps hope this doesn't break isg policy - it's called stealing from greedyf*cks

Hats off to the attitude. And it's not only more fun (for both parties) when you take the initiative but, if she insists on going into telesales mode you know she's too boring to bother with.
My only concern is the drinks bit. I'll buy chits that pay for beer or cola. If she has champagne tastes, she's not on. (note - in case any newbies missed it, he said real, not dollars. And if it's late in the night he'd probably maybe 'only have about 100R')

Posts: 23Help is still open and price depends on so many variables.
the quality of the girl, the time of night, how many guys are competing for her, the level of attention she is getting, and finally how much she thinks she can take you for..
Most girls who do not have guys competing for her will go home with you for the night for R$150-R$200 if you seem nice enough, but most of the top end girls generally ask for R$500 and expect to be negotiated down to about R$250-R$300 in my experience.
The best thing to do is not ask, you tell. If you find a girl you like talk some bullshit with her, make sure your the one asking the questions.. dont let her follow you down that conversation path of "1. where are you staying 2. hotel or apartment 3. do you want to come home with me tonight 4. $myprice"
Buy her a drink which will calm her down by showing her your genuinely interested, use the length of how long it takes her to drink it to talk some bullshit then whisper something like "Ive got about $150 real left in my wallet, lets go back to my place"

another advantage for me is that in an apartment, they can't reach me at all hours of the night.(like at 3 am when at helpee).
i tell them there are no landlines in rio apartments, 'cause everyone here uses only cell phones (i can screen those calls).

My input: Nice hotels with the willingness to have decent ID checks etc are not in the heart of the action and the ones that are in or near won't allow guests. Aparthotels are the practical compromise between luxury hotel v pricing v amenities such as avail of rooms, linen, etc.

For the price of a nice hotel room, you can get equally nice or better, spacious, apartment, with security at the entrance who keep the GDPs ID card before entry. (I have doen that 3 times).
But I have stayed at the hotels as well and that was fine too (but cramped).

Posts: 95I Like the Augusto Hotel
Augusto Hotel is the one that I like. It is a block away from the subway station, has a fitness room, and is conveniently located a short distance from the beach. You can even walk to L'uomo if you are so inclined.
My daily routine comprised of waking up, working out, grabbing some juice and maybe a sandwich at the corner store and then heading to a terma.
