This is true. All the things listed sound like worst case scenario but are not uncommon. Quite a few of my fellow expats lived through some horror stories when getting divorced from a Japanese woman. Many have a great live but it is better to know things beforehand.

Hey guys,

I just prefer a place where a westerner with money is sought after. I don't want a place with alot of crime. I am more apt to stay in the americas (CA and SA) - I think asia would be too much of a culture shock - but I have added southeast asia to my list below.:

1. Colombia (northern coast) - is too damn dangerous (are their any safe places in colombia?)
2. Cuba - has too many problems - it is expensive for foreigners, most important: the police arrest girls who are with foreigners - so it is difficult to date girls there.
3. DR - would be just right for me - it just seems too expensive there
4. Venezuela - too expensive and too dangerous
5. Nicaraugua (east coast) - just too underdeveloped
6. Costa Rica - too expensive
9. Brazil - too expensive and too dangerous
15. Mexico - too expensive - too dangerous
16. Panama - way too expensive

If anyone has lived in any of these countries, I would appreciate their feedback about:
1. cost of renting an apartment with A/C
2. crime against expats
3. friendliness of the women
4. overall costs of living
5. general water activities (diving fishing)

I don't quiet understand, you are talking about "westerner with money" and then calling those places "too expensive".

I have no idea what can be cheaper than some of those places. Also I think there is no way to find a place which would be cheap, not dangerous, with hot cheap/friendly women waiting only for you, and everything else is great.. there is no perfect place, you have to pay one way or another.

You want them(the locals) to sought after "westerner with money", is it gonna be cheap? I think they are gonna make it as expensive as possible in this case

In my opinion from what I've seen Colombia or Brazil would be the best. Argentina should be good too, I have not been there yet.

But you say its too dangerous and/or expensive. I'm not into DR and their girls. Asia is very different, different culture, different people/girls.

So you better check out and decide for yourself, everybody has their own tastes and preferences.

I also look for a nice place, but I'm prepared that its gonna cost money and also maybe some risks "too dangerous".

You are right. There are tradeoffs. Many of the countries mentioned are equally dangerous. So that cancels out right there. Will I be visiting hookers every nite? No. I'd probably hire a sex employee.

As a guide to dating expenses I look at what mongers pay for LT/ST. That is a guide as to what to expect for a GF (or a long term paid GF).

Well, I had good time in Slowakia, Czech and in Latvia. Of course, anywhere you may find the "cheap mess", but if you ask for more quality staff, you find it up here for sure. What surprised me, some of the -1st class girls- are choosing clients, I appreciate it as well.

Spanish is much easier to learn than German and is probably (along with Italian and Portuguese) the easiest language for a native English speaker to learn.

German is like English a Germanic language and should be much easier to learn than Spanish.

But the easiert language for a native English speaker to learn should be Bahasa Indonesia. The easiest language in the world.

I live at home, I'm 39, how many women would find that acceptable? That cuts down my pool. I date mostly White women, is every White women, even in liberal California down that? No, further cutting down my pool.

South America looks like a good option in my opinion. You know, they don't like blacks here but they don't like anyone else who isn't from Argentina, and even from Buenos Aires. Having said that I don't think I would live here if I were black. I am not sure what the precise definition of "Caucasian" is but a lot of people here would meet it since they mostly trace their ancestry to #1 Italy and #2 Spain. I think, though, DJ, you are not saying you prefer "Caucasians" but you prefer blond hair, light skin, blue or green eyes, etc. S'not the same thing! Argentina has always had liberal immigration policies (one reason I live here) since it's not overcrowded (another reason), and BA in particular is a real melting pot (another reason). I like all kinds of women, not just blond hair and blue/green eyes. I made a post about "Crushes" on another forum and when I thought about it, I came up with Victoria Principle, Jaclyn Smith, The Car Hop from Cannon Ball Run (Google it, Vicky something), Heather Thomas and Tiffany-Amber Thiesen.
