The answer is yes, OT is somewhat of a santioned RLD zone- in this case, a building. I have been there during what many may consider a police raid but they didn't do anything but walk thru the place and picked out a few people to see ID (and that included the guys also as many don't know that Sgn now have some Malay sneaking over the border, so many illegals are also men and not just women) but usually leaves the Caucasians alone unless they were acting like drunken jerks.

Singapore is very safe and the legal brothels will ensure all is trouble free and theft free. They have a reputation to uphold and don't want the word out that someone is stealing in their joint.

Firstly I wanted to thank everyone's contributions to the board. I will be visiting town for the 1st time since 2005, next month. That time Geylang was kicking with various types of women. Naturally, recent reports have concerned me. I have arranged to stay at a Hotel 81 in the area, specially for the action.

With regards to brothels/fishbowls, its never been my preferred style. much prefer street women. Never been too concerned about the police before around there. Last time, the highlights seemed to be this outdoor line up of Indonesian women run by pimps (not a great setup, but the women were worth it - I have read about this being mentioned in recent reports) and an area of S. Indian/Sri Lankan women. I've been racking my brain to remember how I got past any lingo probs but can't remember them.

Anyway, from what I recall, there used to be a general guideline to which ethnic group occupied which lorongs. Can anyone just recap which were found where? Even if those rules don't really apply anymore, due to the changes in the area. Also, I'm not particularly bothered about Thai/PRC women. Needless to say I will be reporting fully upon my return.

Yes, maybe my original post wasn't clear. Police and ICA (Immigration) do sometimes visit OT, but police are there to support ICA and the issue is immigration - girls working on a visitor pass. These visits are infrequent and ordinary mongers need not be concerned.

Singapore does have a reputation for being strict on LE issues but apart from drugs (which is an area of no interest for me) I find the place pretty liberal, especially compared with USA and UK. As long as you are respectful of others no one will trouble you. No prostitution busts and no 'John TV' here. Don't be embarrassed to enjoy yourself.

OK, I've been in a lot more than one of the fishbowls! Most of the time, I don't see anything I like, but if I do pick a girl, I just tell give pimp the her number, and hand him a S$50- no discussion of price or any further conversation. Since I started doing that, I haven't had anyone refuse my money, or insist on the foreigner price of S$100.

As for the experience, typically it's what you'd expect for that money- usually a nice washdown, followed by a CBJ, full service without a lot of passion- 20 minute session total. you will see the ones that are legal easily. they mostly have open doors, but a screen outside mostly prevents you from peeping inside. you have to actually go inside. there won't be as many girls sitting in the bowl as for examply in thailand. only a handfull mostly.

i have only been inside one, and the feel, yes, it did struck me as safe. you won't have the police knocking on the door or think you will be robbed. the girl is in that house.

why is say this, because from my experience, when you take on off the streets, and you take a shower there is always a bit of stress if they will pick your pockets or not. the girl is basically free floating in a random hotel, and can fly anytime she wants.

Ok, as a long timer in Singapore.
1)most SW regardless of where they are in Sgn are generally "illegal" and can be picked up at anytime. Only the brothels themselves are "legal" so police leaves whoever is inside alone.

2) Police generally leave OT alone as OT is consider somewhat as a legal RLD. So police usually leaves whoever is inside the building alone also.

You got an answer from FriendlyPlanet at the general board but here is some additional information from me:

You can find Fishbowls at Lorong 6, 8, 14, 16, 18 and 20. And I believe also at Westerhout Road. That is the lane between Lorong 16 and 20. There are lamps or candles outside these brothels, and often papa-san is standing outside trying to get you come in and look. So you will find the brothels and as I understand, they are all legal. But if there are a lot of flowers, lamps and candles outside then it is probably a Buddhist temple or funeral parlour. I suggest that you do not get in there, asking for sex.

According to my limited experience the brothels are safe and clean. Actually, both here and in Indonesia the girls seem to be concerned about you're cleanliness. So they wash you in the shower. And a shower together is a nice way to start.

Regarding the girls' appearance, I think you can find what you want. There are a lot of brothels. Last time I think I looked at fish bowls in 25. 30 places before I made up my mind. It is easier to see how a girl look when she is in a fish tank than in Orchard Towers. On the other hand you can have a long conversation with the girl in OT, if you are interested in the personality.

Regarding massage I remember that at one brothel papa-san said that only one of the girls could give massage. My experience from Europe and Asia has made me sceptical to combine professional massage and full service. If possible I use to have professional massage first. As a warm up. i believe houses along several streets are legal brothels. how do you know which ones are legit? how are the facilities themselves. are the rooms clean? do they feel safe? what is disadvantage of these places? higher costs? can i get a massage/bath/gfe along with full-service?

more importantly, how are women? i believe they have fishbowl system, so you can take your pick. are women better/worse/same as what i can find at ot?

the boards mention women hanging out on the streets. i am assuming they are different from the girls in the brothels?

final advice, don't go strolling around the rest of singapore, because you won't really find anything special, and it will definitely be only more expensive.

Spent a night in Singapore. Decided to dive right into to action and book a cheap hotel there. Well, there wasn't much action to be had as opposed to my earlier visits. Almost no girls on the street, and like a year ago those same streets were packed.

Scoped the streets around 8, some, but not enough to make a healthy decision. Got me some food, tried again, but apparently those that were on the street left.

But I sniffed them out of course, and found them sitting in restaurants hidden. Got a deal for 30 bucks, cute Thai girl. Good looking and eager to please.

I don't know what all the BB's and what not's mean, but I got full serviced.
