Day 3.

Thanks to everyone who posts information and reviews, thought I should contribute. My last trip to Cartagena sadly was just as the storm hit recently. The good part was it only took me 45 minutes to get through customs this time, with absolutely no hassles. The lines returning to the US are just as bad. The bad part of the trip was seeing the beaches under water and a bit of flooding. Guess I wasn't there long enough to experience the sewer smell.

I completely agree with Nypher that CTG late at night is a different world. Changes from families to the nightlife. During the day I spend time with some local friends. But at night I had no trouble finding some girls around the KFC / clocktower area. My hotel charged 140 each time I brought a different girl back. If I only brought the same one back every night there would have been no charge.

Spent just 1 day in Cartagena, and it was a huge disappointment. The freelance scene is mostly low-end Venezuelan girls asking for 400 k pesosinsane prices for the quality. You can spot them along Carrera 7 at night, and during the day around Hollywood Beach (Playa Hollywood).

Also, don't trust random local taxi driversthey're full of scams. I almost got ripped off badly. One driver tried to take me to some overpriced spot and quoted 150 k for the ride. Midway through, I checked reviews and saw stories of people getting hit for $1,000 USD at those places, so I told him to stop and let me out. He flipped out, turned aggressive, and demanded 250 k instead. Total scam attemptbe careful and negotiate hard upfront or use apps if possible.

Overall, Cartagena's sex tourism feels way overpriced and sketchy compared to other spots in Colombia right now. Not worth it unless you're already there for other reasons. It's a small and an afternoon is way more than enough.

A day in CTG is not the same as a night in CTG, also the days matter.

What spot were they trying to take you to, and what was the origin of pickup?

As for Carrera 7, you were probably around outside the old Delirium but you also have to go over. To where KFC is and San Valintine and the ClockTower.

Most girls are starting to go back inside like Pretexto which is also owned by the Delirium owner.

LOL! No problem. You were literally my target audience. The ones that have been, already have an idea of what's going on. I wanted to paint a detailed picture for the ones that had never considered or on the fence about a trip to Cartagena.

I have had so many issues with ATMs that the only ones I use are Serviobanca. I have not had any issues with them. I think there is one at the airport, but you can find these ATMs at Carullas and the Olympic grocery store in Bocagrande attached to the Bocagrande mall. You can take out up to 2 million COP with them.

Servobancas are the only ATMs that have worked for me. I take 2 debit cards and just pull about 3. 5 million cop at the airport.

2. Debit card was flagged even with the travel notice. And I never swiped it to pay for anything only to withdraw money from the ATM. Lesson learned for me though. Crazy part is that's something I was aware of just but didn't expect to happen to me.
