I had to be in Lima over the Easter holiday weekend for an unexpected trip, so I scrambled at the last minute to RTFF and try to collect as much insightful information as possible. That's pretty much correct, except you pay the girl the 50 soles after sex. I believe it's a house policy that the girls at Sirenitas cannot demand money before they have completed the service, although some of them will ask for it up front. I always tell the few who do that I will pay at the end and I've never had one tell me to leave. If you make the mistake of paying first, you are guaranteed to get bad, rushed service.

Las Sirenitas is open from 9:00 to 2:00 and then again from 4:00 to late in the night. The quality is terrible during the afternoon compared to the evening, but there are always one or two gems who will really put you in a good mood for the rest of the day if they don't happen to be occupied by a line of guys waiting outside their door (which they often are). The rest are eager to please but hard to look at.

The best time, by far, is just before the rush hits at 5:00. Never, ever go on a Friday after 6:00. There are so many guys you won't be able to walk or sit down, and the girls will be trying to churn them out as fast as they can. Saturdays should be avoided too, unless you are coming mainly for the entertainment and not sex. You will be staring at closed doors most of the time. Let me start with safety but specifically to the chongos (at least to the 3 I visited). Before coming here I felt the same as you. How can the chongo be safe when everyone says the area is not safe? Now I have been here I understand it a little better. Basically the bottom line is that the Chongos are either in run down working class areas or in industrial areas. But immediately outside the Chongo is fine. It's just not something where, maybe in other cities, you would leave the brothel and walk somewhere to catch a bus or get something to eat, etc. Las Sirenitas for example, you may look on Google Maps and see its next to one of those massive Megaplaza Malls or maybe some bus stops and you will think to yourself I'll save some money and just walk to the bus stop and catch a bus back to my hotel or something. You will quickly realize though that Las Sirenitas though is in what I would call a warehouse / industrial area and borders a pretty run down neighborhood so if you start walking around there while it's not unusual to see a local walking around the chongo it would be weird to see a tourist. There is no reason to do it and because of that it only takes 1 or 2 people that are desperate and down on their luck to see you and think "this is easy money". Having said that right outside las Sirenitas is fine. Like I said there is the security guy and usually one or two of his friends out there. There is usually a few guys that have come out or going in. There; s some people on the street waving cars towards the garage just down from the change, etc. Taxis are outside. It's perfectly safe for you to walk out of and get an uber to pick you up. The uber will come to the door.
