I applied for this evisa about two weeks and there is no update, none at all. I guess the unit that is meant to process these, are overwhelmed with too many apps, maybe redeployed or downsized due to earthquake?

I came back last night from a week in La Guaira, went there with a few people in the community to bring donated food and do volunteer work. The things I saw there are haunting, thousands and thousands of people sleeping in the middle of the ruins with nowhere to go. Places I knew well, completely gone. Lots of international help especially from the USS, which I am deeply grateful for. Something that caught my attention is that the Simon Bolivar airport (which suffered damage from the earthquake) was partially operative and under care of the US armed forces, who repaired the airstrip and reactivated the control tower. The whole area is basically lost, and I don't think it will recover any time soon.

Venezuela right now is hurting. I have a friend in Caracas who tells me that the situation there is awful, in his own words "as bad as you can think things are here, it's ten times worse". And they are not even the place that got hit worst by the Earthquake, La Guaira is basically a big ruin. There are tens of thousands dead, or trapped under rubble, or that have lost everything. Here in my neighborhood we are collecting as much food and other necessities as possible to send to Caracas, and I've been asking everyone for contributions. If somebody could help please DM me, it means everything in these terrible moment.

Not casas, but there are strip clubs in Caracas where you can ask to do business with any of the ladies and they even have rooms available. There are a few fake massage parlors or "spas" but those are more difficult to find as they are usually located in nondescript office buildings. There are two that I used to go in the Protexo building in the center of the city, but I can't say if they are really active. Sexy Caracas used to be awesome but that website while still active has seen better days. Besides Tinder there are escorts to be found on twitter. I think I still have a couple of active escort agencies on Telegram if you are interested.

As for safety, that depends in a big part of your common sense. Caracas can be a fun place and it certainly isn't the lawless war zone that some claim it is, but you got to be cautious.

Here in Venezuela, right now the US of A owns this place. I mean, the other day we had two US Marines Ospreys flying over Caracas and landing on the embassy, with full support of our authorities. There is no problem coming her using your american passport, the days of our government being openly hostile towards Americans are long gone.

You can fly from wherever, whichever is the cheapest for you. Fly direct from Miami to Caracas or you can do a layover in another country. You just have to carry both passports as you need it to fly back to the US.

Flash your Irish passport to border officers in Venezuela and get it stamped, do the same on the way out. The only place they'd ask for your American passport when flying to back the USA (direct) is at the airline counter to check for any visa requirements.

No, there ain't a place or spot of "tolerance" like in Colombia. Most of the game is incall and they are as expensive as in Europe. The thing is the power outages, they are having 5 hours rolling blackouts nowadays.
