Bangkok Hotels

Will definitely be adding some FRs from my trip and will put some info on the hotel I choose in here.

Well, if you don't mind a 10 minute stroll to Sukhumvit/BTS/MRT the CitiChic is very nice on all other counts. And frequently, you can get a ride from the CitiChic's Tuk Tuk.

Since yesterday we have robes and slippers in the rooms (DeLuxe and upper room categories).

Furthermore we start to install DVD players, 10 rooms with DVD players up to now. Now we must build up a movie library :) ...

I believe you can watch it on channel 69.

You got a ton of choices of hotels in BKK but if U want opinion on just these three...

Adelphi... the construction is very low end... the place opened in Nov and this is my second two week visit and I've had things from the shower valve falling off, the internet DOES not work so that they have to tear up my ceiling, the front door breaks in the open position etc... but on the plus side it is near the BTS, the Post Office and Nana / Gulliers / Eden / Beer Garden / etc... The staff tries to make things right but honestly I doubt I will stay here again.

Citadines... man that is a heck of a walk and taxi's really don't know Soi 16. I don't like the layout of the rooms and the value for the price I just don't feel it for this property. I've also stayed at a sister property called Somerset Lake Point a little farther down the road. Taxi's just don't know 16 and it's a hike. The rooms are not to my taste at Citadines but it is right near a Foodland and if U want to hike it U the walk to the BTS is also the walk to Cowboy so U are close.

So that leaves Citichic. I'd stay there over the other two but I haven't stayed there. My associates have stayed there and I've visited there a few times and I've heard only good things. Work books the stays for me so I don't have much choice or sya where I stay so it's not like I can tell them to le tme stay that this property. But seeing it from others I'd pick this one over the other two.

I stayed at the CitiChic, and I can't believe that I did not realize that this amenity was on offer - I surely would have taken advantage of it if I knew it was there.

Tx for the info. Just cancelled my upgrade and now staying in the GF Majestic Grande. Now to do my research on MP's to visit! Tx guys (and gals if there are any on here! )

Surprised the BIB don't come and monitor the perversion going on there. It is nearly as noti as dinner with Giotto.

We are always listening to customer feedbacks :) ...

"Official" reasons to visit Bangkok:

- Medical Checkup (Bumrungrad Hospital, dates can be arranged)
- Dental Work (relatively cheap here in Thailand, dates can be arranged)
- Golfing (lots of golf courses)
- Fishing (there are some lakes outside Bangkok)
- Sight-seeing (might be too thin as a single reason)
- Seminars (Retirement in Thailand, Visa law, Foreign Business Act etc.)
- Fairs (Furniture right now, Fashion, etc. etc. )

The naughty nightlife - yes, we know that it exists, but it is really not a reason to visit Thailand :) !
