Swimming Pool Party
Yesterday's Swimming Pool Party - (so many parties in January)...
First ever fashion show in Livingstone's - the girls walking around the pool showing their sexy outfit. Most of them ending up in the pool thereafter. It was really great.
Party until 2:30 am in the morning.
Enough with all the parties now, I need a rest.

Decisions, Decisions
Wow sounds like the pool party was great. How could I miss that even though I'm staying at the Lodge? Problem is I was there too early (no girls in the pool, but had a nice chat with Giotto anyway) and got back too late, after a mate an I got swept up in the action around Soi Cowboy. This guy convinced me that I HAD to see the lesbian show at Suzie Wong's, and he was right. It's insane. Rules have definitely loosened up on the Soi. Beers and beers later I ended up at bar around the corner from the end of Soi Cowboy called "Siamese Twins" playing strip pool at the table upstairs until 2:30. I won :) This bar is tiny, but the girls are absolutely wild...worth a look, but not early.
Hard to choose between spending all your time at the Lodge & sports bar with all the sweet girls there, or going out and throwing yourself into the BKK nightlife. It's a no-lose situation.

wifi speed in giotto
is fast enough that I can watch broadcast TV sent from my slingbox in San Francisco at the Giotto's breakfast bar or my guest room on my notebook.
Hi all. Haven't been on this board for a while. Got lost in China's Changping love nest. Young girls and low price. Hehehehhe.
You must stay at Giotto if not for the Wifi, then Giotto's company.
Hi guys coming to Bangkok in March. Ive scrolled through quite a few pages but cant seem to find any mention of the room rates. Also, do the rooms have reliable wifi access? There is also no mention of these matters on the Livingstones website. Someone please fill me in. Cheers.
The end.
So this is the end of my stay at Livingstones – about 50 nights spend here. I shall not shed tears of despair, and prose about the top-range personal service I have received, and the meaningful relationship I had here with everyone, from owner to staff (and some of the girls. .), or how sad I am to leave this place (and go to Jakarta.), and give my profund thanks to all the staff. Well, it is true of course, but readers of this Forum will be bored, and G will think that I am an butt-sucker. Neither shall I say "Great service, here is the 20-bullets list of complains". There are always things to improve, and I have told them to G & G already – but I don’t want to give the impression of a thumb-sucking little brat who complains about everything.
There are many posts who clearly describe what to expect from Livingstones. It’s cool, friendly, small, confortable, good value (especially if you take advantage of the ISG promotions), informative, funny, very different from what you may expect in sterile big hotels. Sometimes little unconveniences may arise (difficult to avoid when staying 2 months), and this is the experience of travel. People who expect everything to run 100% don’t find pleasure in travel and should stay home. This is the Bestards place – and I look forward to be back!

The Lodge
Hi All!
Was there two times in the last 3 days.
It was nice, t/4 I changed my booking for my next visit from 5 Star Hotel to
Livingstone instead.
Nice location. although I cannot remember how I managed to find the way back to my Hotel.
I mixed Red Wine and German Wheatbeer. This is a deadly mixture, believe me !
See you in March again

Thailand
Somebody sent this to me:
You know you've been in Thailand too long when:
You can go for weeks without toilet paper
The footprints on the toilet seat are your own
It's perfectly acceptable to drive on the wrong side of the street
You decline to wear a motorbike helmet because it will mess up your hair
You have a pinky fingernail an inch long
It is no longer surprising that the only decision made at meeting time is the venue of the next meeting
You no longer wonder how a civil servant earning 400US$ a month can afford to drive a Mercedes
It's exciting to see if you can get into the elevator before anyone else can get out
"Sexpats", "Pirates", "Yellow Fever" and "Rice Queens" are part of your vocabulary
It's just part of the adventure when the waiter correctly repeats your order and the cook makes you something completely different
When shopping at the supermarket, a farang stares you down when he catches you looking into his basket while you wonder to yourself what farangs eat
You are not surprised when three men show up to change a light bulb.
You are careful to cover your mouth when picking your teeth, but openly pick your nose at the dinner table.
You eat bugs and tell yourself they are nutritious and have a lot of protein
You tell yourself paying bribes to the police is all right
Your Thai wife's family have lived with you for years and they don't seem to want to leave
You go back to your home country and miss Thailand right away
In a street brawl you side with the locals
Rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner is perfectly OK
You stand five minutes in front of an escalator planning your day
You duck your head automatically when you pass in front of someone.
You accept ice in your beer
Your wrist always has some form of band around it
You pat scabby dogs on the head
When lime green shower shoes go with everything in your wardrobe.
When you can have a laugh with a bloke in a skirt that has bigger boobs than your Mrs.
When the traffic doesn't bother you anymore everybody drives like that
When it's nothing out of the ordinary to see a family of five on a motorcycle and the dog riding pillion
When you visit your home country and you experience culture shock
When you start believing that "monogamy" is just a type of wood
You know you've been in Thailand too long when:
These are the ones that have been integrated into my life:
- You can go for weeks without toilet paper (not entirely true. I need it to blow my nose)
- The footprints on the toilet seat are your own (believe it or not, it's a better way!)
- You decline to wear a motorbike helmet because it will mess up your hair (i never ask for one, but if the driver hands me a helmet while we're motoring along it means the police are dead ahead and i put it on as quickly as possible)
- When shopping at the supermarket, a farang stares you down when he catches you looking into his basket while you wonder to yourself what farangs eat (it is amazing sometimes isn't it?)
- You are careful to cover your mouth when picking your teeth, but openly pick your nose at the dinner table. (I try not to do that too openly, but I don't wait until a better time comes along)
- You eat bugs and tell yourself they are nutritious and have a lot of protein (No, I just eat them when I'm in the mood)
- You tell yourself paying bribes to the police is all right (It is 100% all right when you benefit. it always has been!)
- You go back to your home country and miss Thailand right away (That used to happen, but now it takes a few days)
- In a street brawl you side with the locals (most of the time, but just in spirit. I don't get into brawls)
- Rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner is perfectly OK (yup)
- You stand five minutes in front of an escalator planning your day (me have a plan!?!)
- You accept ice in your beer (I ask for it if the beer isn't cold enough)
- You pat scabby dogs on the head (Not to often, but I usually have some pretty good conversations with the ones in my neighborhood)
- When you can have a laugh with a bloke in a skirt that has bigger boobs than your Mrs. (hell no! that's rude!)
- When the traffic doesn't bother you anymore everybody drives like that (the traffic only bothers me if I'm in a car which isn't often because I normally take a motorcyc)
- When it's nothing out of the ordinary to see a family of five on a motorcycle and the dog riding pillion (Actually, this is something I think should not be out of the ordinary in the country I come from, but it is)
- When you visit your home country and you experience culture shock (I experienced culture shock in my home country before I had ever left it)
- When you start believing that "monogamy" is just a type of wood (The sailboat I liquidated before moving to Thailand had some of that wood on it!)

Hey G,
Sorry I forgot to get back with you about making copies! I got it done for a decent price (2 Baht per page) on Soi 11/1. Thanks again and sorry I forgot to notify you!

Good conversation
Giotto,
I enjoyed our conversation last nite. I guess I must have talked too much as this morning I woke up with a sore throat. Unfortunately it also comes with a runny nose and that crappy feeling that only comes with a cold.
See you soon

Thanks
So this is the end of my stay at Livingstones – about 50 nights spend here.
...
SexWithSmile,
Immediately after you left the staff celebrated a huge party - any idea why :) ???
....
Thanks for staying here, it was great to have you with us. I enjoyed seeing you working at the pool during the weekends, and partying at night time in our Sports Lounge. That's the type of customer we built Livingstone's for.
I know that it will be some time until you can come back. We will wait for you.
Have safe trips, and Good Luck!

Good Stay
I just completed a four night stay. Had an excellent time and found both the boss and the manager had good advice. Greatly enjoyed the time I spent with my bar fines.
The Champagne Party and the Pool Party were great although I hear that things really got going after I left on both nights.
Stayed in one of the new rooms. It had a Jacuzzi tub but not a separate shower. If you want a separate shower be sure to request a room with one. They offered to move me but I was too lazy to pack up all my crap for just a couple of nights.
I will definitely be back! Highly recommended.

Massage, Sex or What?
The Vice President is back.
He caught me this morning with the most unusual question I have ever heard here in Livingstone's:
Where can I get a soapy massage WITHOUT sex???
To be honest - I had no answer!
He must be sick. First he is mixing up the photo gallery with one single report, and now this ... Bestards, I need your advice, what penalty I have to impose at him now. With such a behavior he is destroying all our well-earned reputation.

See You
SidTheSexist,
I just saw you checking out. Good Luck!
Don't come back too late tonight...after missing your flight (on purpose) again. We will keep the room reserved for you :) .
